  • When installing creative cloud on osx I keep getting prompted to download a new version

when installing creative cloud on osx I keep getting prompted to download a new version which upon trying to install prompts me to download again.  I recently used migration utility to move everything to a new box.

Mac migration does not always work with Cloud programs
Uninstall... run the Cleaner... Restart your computer... Reinstall

-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling will usually help

  • Error Code 50 when installing Creative Cloud desktop update - tried everything and no joy

Folks I've been trying to update my CC desktop app to the latest release and keep getting Error Code 50 at around 47% of the install process.
I've tried every suggestion that has been posted on the Adobe site and forums including:
1 Opening my CC account in the Adobe website and then trying to install - no joy.
2 Running the Adobe cleaner and re-installing CC - no joy.
3 Restarting computer and attempting reinstall - no joy.
4 All of the above with my firewall and anti-virus switched off - no joy.
I'm running Windows 8.1 on a hi-spec machine and I've never had an issue with any update of the CC App or any of the program apps I utilise (Lightroom, Photoshop and Acrobat).
Not really sure what I do now as I've tried everything and really need to keep working (pro photographer) so am having to ditch this for now as it's taking too much time.
    Grateful for any suggestions please.
    Many thanks
    James

  • Persistent 205 Error (Win 7) when installing Creative Cloud Desktop

Please help.  I am at wit's end here.  I am getting a perpetual 205 error when trying to install the Creative Cloud Desktop App.
I've reviewed these forums and have tried everything:
    Disabling firewalls, anti-virus, and anti-malware programs;
    Clearing cache;
    Logging on as a different Windows 7 user;
    Dowloading under a different Adobe ID;
    Three different web browsers.
I even tried using my phone as a mobile hotspot for a download to see if a different internet connection would work.  No dice.
VERY frustrated with Adobe right now.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Error 1603 Installing Creative Cloud from Network Path

I used the same method as I am going to describe below to install CS6 but I cannot do this with Creative Cloud.
After I built a install Package for Adobe Creative cloud I copied it up to a network share that I use for several other remote installations including Adobe CS6.  I use Dell KACE to distribute my software and due to the large size of Creative Cloud and Creative Suite before it I do not want to copy the large install files directly to the appliance.
The problem I am having is when I try to install from this network location just as I have with CS6 I get the following error:
    Installation operation failed
Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Adobe_CC_NoAcrobat. Product Version: 1.2.0000. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Adobe Systems Incorporated. Installation success or error status: 1603.
Adobe_CC_NoAcrobat is what I named the package.
My install commands look like this:
    start /wait \\SERVER\AdobeCC\Adobe_CC_NoAcrobat\Exceptions\ExceptionDeployer.exe --workflow=install --mode=pre
    start /wait msiexec.exe /i "\\SERVER\AdobeCC\Adobe_CC_NoAcrobat\Build\Adobe_CC_NoAcrobat.msi" /qn /L*v c:\Adobe.log
    start /wait \\SERVER\AdobeCC\Adobe_CC_NoAcrobat\Exceptions\ExceptionDeployer.exe --workflow=install --mode=post
I added the Logging after it kept failing to see what was going on and I can paste the entire log file if need be but if I copy the folder with the package contents locally and run the same commands from the same elevated command prompt it installs fine.  Error 1603 usually points to some access rights issue but for the life of me I cannot determine what the issue is.  I have given full control to "Everyone", "SYSTEM" and all users to the network share and it is only the MSI that fails it seems.

I have just run into this problem.  I have made two packages earlier in the year (one of Creative Cloud Design and Web and one with Creative Cloud Master Collection both being for x64) and they both worked flawlessly when deploying via Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).  However I just went to make a new package of Master Collection (only including the applications we actually use) and it is now completely broken (I deleted my Creative Cloud Design and Web package from MDT but still have my old Master Collection package and it still works).
My older packages were created on Windows Server 2008 SP2 Enterprise 32bit and I have tried creating new packages on Windows Server 2012 R2 x64 and Windows Server 2003 SP2 Standard Edition 32bit and both give the same failure.  I thought it might have been something about building on a x64 OS this time compared to last time but as I still get the same error when I tried to build from the Windows Server 2003 so that does not appear to be the case so I am guessing something has broken in the Creative Cloud Packager.
Has anyone tried going back to an older version of the Creative Cloud Packager?  The current version is 1.6.0 Build 48 so if I can find a download link I will try and give version 1.5.0 a shot.  Either way this needs to be fixed ASAP as it did work and I need a working deployment for the new Windows 8.1.1 Enterprise x64 image I am in the process of making.

  • "Download Error" in my Creative Cloud Desktop

I have a "Download Error" message in my Creative Cloud Desktop Window.  It tells me to Contact Customer Support and there's a blue button that says "Download Creative Cloud".  When I click on the button, I get the message "The Creative Cloud Download Center is currently unavailable."  Is this a problem on my end or yours?

I have the same issue, I have just signed up as a new user and am facing the same error message; The download center is unavaible at the moment, is there any news on this as I suspect its an issue from Adobes perpective?

  • Script error when installing creative suite 4

I've been trying to work this one out for days.
I uninstalled the creative suite to see if it would help download dreamweaver(I've since given up on dreamweaver for the time being). So when I tried to re-install creative suite an error message popped up right after the components page when I click next.
    Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occured in the script on this page
    Line: 1879
    Char: 2
Error: 'id' is null or not an object
    Code: 0
    URL: file:///C:/program%20files/common%20files/adobe/installers/1e3ba55b33b1e8227645fbac82acca 3/resources/common/scripts/utils.js
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
    Yes/No
It makes no difference whether I click yes or no. On the next page it freezes at 'preparing to install'. This has happened everytime.
    Urgent help needed!

    Hi dear Experts,
    I URGENTLY need your HELP!
I got the same script error message and don't know how to solve it ....after 3 days of searching and trying.
Due to a system crash I reinstalled the same Win7x64 Ultimate (=> clean image, incl. SP1 and all updates, drivers etc) on the completely same computer hardware. But still the same package CS4 Design Premium refuses to get reinstalled again.
BUT, I can not install CS4 Design Premium (Western Version), even though I have the original CD’s. It shows after checking the system profile and let me enter the license code and choose the software component to be installed, suddenly a window pops up saying exactly the message of above. I also tried to install as test version....
An error has occured in the script on this page
             Line: 1879
Do I want to continue run this script? (yes/no)
Either way, the system starts with the next screen, but stops working at all. Nothing happens.
So I downloaded the files from
    http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
and tried the same with the download. After unpacking to a temp file and starting “SETUP.EXE” the system does a system profile check for about 75% and then stops …simply does not do anything anymore.….for ages. Ok, another trial brought me further but only to the script error.
Note: any other Software including Adobe software, like: Lightroom 3, PS Elements 9, Acrobat Reader …. etc do not have any problems with installation.
What did I do to help myself:
    - I tried again recopy the clean Win7x64 boot image and tried again... same result
    - used the cleaner tools http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html , but actually it does not offer the cleaning tool for CS4 but for CS6, but still I managed it successfully, no impact on the installation process of CS4
    - I deinstalled any other adobe products, including Flash player, shockwave player , air, Reader, ...what ever Adobe was the product I deinstalled .... no impact
    - I tried to install the package in Windows protected mode => does not even start the installation.
    - I tried a new user (administrator rights) and .... same ****
Does anyone has an idea how to solve this problem?
... and no, to buy an upgrade is not an option for me.... then I take the hard way and change to CorelDraw Graphics Suite. I paid my full license and the CS4 is doing what I need. It is already very hard to swallow that CS4 is not support the very young CS4 (and I don't mean improvement, just to keep investment alive) ... So no option!
    Hardware:
ASUS mainboard, Intel Pentium D90, RAM 8GB, Sapphire HD6950 Radeo AMD Graphic Card, ...but nothing has change since previous working installation.
I appreciate any help and thank you in advance for looking into this.
    Best regards
    Georg

  • "Download Error" when installing on Mac using Parallels 9

I have just taken delivery of a new Macbook pro. At work our creative cloud subscription is for windows so I purchased Parallels 9 to allow me to run windows 8 and the adobe suite on the Mac.
Whenever i try to install the apps I get the message "Download Error"
    Not sure what to do

    Hi James,
This error comes if you do not have the updated version of Creative cloud app, go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and download the latest version.
Restart the computer and try downloading, if that doesn't work then follow the steps given in the following article.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/unknown-server-error-launchin g-cc.html
If that doesn't fix then check this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/5469534 which has other options too.
    Thanks!
