OK.  I am logged in….but that is where I was earlier.  I can’t seem to get a real person…you are the closest I have.  When I go to that link, I just keep getting thrown around and around with questions/problems everyone else is having (some the same as mine)….   My problem is that I can’t download the Application Manager.  It cuts out on me about 2/3 of the way thru.   I think this is the problem some others are having too…but I don’t seem to see any “fixes”.   And, no live person to talk thru getting this fixed.
I suppose I could call back on Monday (5 am – 7 pm)…  but I was hoping to work on my project tomorrow.   I don’t see anyone to call in their 24/7 support.

  • Download error with Adobe Applications Manager

I have been trying to download the trial version of photoshop for 2 days now for a class project. I have updated every possible piece of software on my computer, read through the forums, and my adobe applications manager still will not work. I even tried running it as administrator and saving it to my dekstop. This is how it looks when I try to log in. Can anyone help me? My operating system is Windows

You have been using the Adobe Application Manager to download the trial.  You can find the trial of Photoshop CS6 for example at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop.  You will want to click on the Download Now button.

Hey, I am getting an error in updating with 'Adobe Application Manager' "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." Anyone able to help? Tried restarting etc. No avail.
I am running Adobe CS5 on my new laptop. Any help would be great.

    @them,
I'm just a user like you who volunteers my time here. Your technical question requires the response from a support engineer.
I do sincerely think you'll get a better response by asking in the Downloading, Installing, Setup forum which I referenced in post #3. They have support engineers who monitor that forum for these kind of issues. This forum can only deal with general issues. Sorry.

I receive a message when trying to open Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, etc., then when I try to follow the directions for troubleshooting, the installer fails to initialize.
Error message: "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem. However it is missing or damaged". Then, after download, the program fails to load and displays this message:  "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem". When following the link, Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued 'because their products are now so stable. -I can see how stable they are.. How do I get assistance with Installer issues?

  • Installing cs6 on a new laptop, I get error message "Adobe application manager failed to install"

installing cs6 on a new laptop, I get error message "Adobe application manager failed to install"
Is this because I need to deactivate cs5 on one of the computers?
CS5 is on 2 old computers. I used Migration Assistant to migrate the applications to the new laptop which is a 3rd computer.
What do I need to do?

I used Migration Assistant to migrate the applications to the new laptop which is a 3rd computer.
Forget that part. The apps won't work. Adobe apps must be installed properly. That may well explain your issues with CS6, too. Generalyl, though, there is no need to uninstall older versions...

  • Error Code A12E4 with Adobe Application Manager

I have been on the 30 day trial of the Creative Cloud, and have now just signed up for my membership.
I went in to download more apps and check for updates on the ones I already have.  No matter what I try to download, it of course opens the Adobe Application Manager as it should, but then the Application Manager tries to update.  It then errors out, and this is what I get:

  • What's up with Adobe Application Manager CS6?

If I select within Pr (CS6): Help > Updates...
here is the resulting update check (as expected):
    But...
if I directly run Application Manager either from the Start Menu shortcut,
or by running the executable file (PDapp.exe) in this location:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\
Here is the message I get:
(Not logged in with my Adobe ID.)
    'Sup with that?
    notes:
This is the first time I have tried to run AAM since this series of events
on 7/6 (I was logged in with my Adobe ID at the time)
The steps I took on 7/6:
    - Ran Adobe Application Manager from the Start Menu shortcut.
    - Normal AAM interface appeared (as pictured in first image above).
    - Once connected, the AAM interface immediately disappeared,
and a small progress bar appeared stating:
    "Updating Adobe Application Manager".
    (No screen shot available)
    - At about 50-75% completion of the progress bar, an icon appeared
on my desktop called: "Adobe Creative Cloud".
    - At about 95% completion of the progress bar, the update stalled.
    - I killed the stalled AAM update in the Task Manager, then rebooted.
After reboot, these processes had been added to startup:
    - Creative Cloud.exe
    - Adobe CEF Helper.exe
I killed these two unwanted processes in the Task Manager,
    then uninstalled "Creative Cloud.exe" using:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
After reboot, the two unwanted processes
were no longer present in the Task Manager.
Now that I am logged in with my Adobe ID, I am going to run
AAM again from the Start Menu shortcut and see what happens.
    UPDATE EDIT:
I am now logged in and I have just tried again
to run AAM from the Start Menu shortcut.
    Error:

And going over curvy roads with my wife driving? No way. As long as I am driving I am OK. With someone else, anyone else, not so much.
On those, I usually get to drive. Last time that we came over from Temecula to Palm Desert, through Anza, I tightened up the suspension, put the anti-slip on full, and lit the fires in her AMG. Out of Anza, there were headlamps behind us, but they disappeared instantly. We had some slush on the road, but the big MB hung in there nicely. When we got down, it took almost 45 mins. for the next car to approach. We were already into our second course, and third glass of wine.
It was kinda' like the last time that I did The Road to Hana, http://www.frommers.com/destinations/maui/0015020319.html. Some locals had written into the Maui paper, about "tourists" hanging up traffic. Well, I did that road in 53 mins., from the Hana cutoff (Paia near Mama's Fish House) to Hana, and not one local stayed in my rearview mirror, for more than a minute, after I passed each one, plus a few dozen "tourists." Now, on the way back, I did stop to see the streams, that we crossed at about 50 mph, just to see what we missed. I am sure that the locals then wrote in about the "crazed tourists," who drifted through each of the 189 curves, and over the 82 bridges. They should not have thrown down the gauntlet. If I had had the AMG, I think that I could have done that trip in less than 45 mins.. If I had had the XKE, I would think that about 35 mins. would be doable, depending on construction.
To this day, my S-I-L will ONLY ride the High Country, if I am driving. Unlike my loving wife, she trusts me with every move.
Now, if I had Mitchell's TT, who knows how quickly I could do The Road to Hana, and especially if the "locals" threw down the gauntlet? Of course, his sticky tires, and brake pads would need replacing, but hey, that is life "in the fast lane." I'd love to have that road closed, with a Porche 939 Turbo, and racing rubber.
    Hunt
PS - sorry about the sickness. I had one bad bout, but think that it was due to bad fish. My father almost did not let me live that one down, but it was a "one-n-only" situation, and I was about 13. Yeah, bad fish for lunch.

  • More Problems with Adobe Application Manager

I just reformatted and upgraded from XP to Windows 7. I am trying to reinstall my Adobe applications, but AAM hangs with the message Waiting to Install...  I have more than enough space. I tried rebooting my system. I deleted and reinstalled Adobe Application Manager. Nothing seems to work. How do I fix this problem?

You can launch the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) from the Start Menu on Windows or from the Applications folder on Mac OS X. It will look like this:
Just click on the Install link for the program you want to try. You will see a progress bar for the download and install and then be able to launch the program once it is complete.
Alternatively if you are signed in with your Adobe ID on the Creative Cloud Apps page at https://creative.adobe.com/apps you can click the Try link. AAM will launch, download and install the program.

  • How to download and update Adobe Application Manager

Hi, I have been attempting to update my ACC application manager but it fails to install. I was instructed to download Adobe Support Advisor but all it said was to contact support which led me in a circuitous route back to my original enquiry for help. Meanwhile my present application manager is reported as corrupt. I have a window telling me to contact support. Hence this call.  Previously, in connection with this issue, I have been informed to go to a page with an APPS navigation tab but I can't find it. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Regards  Bill Watters

I was in a similar situation. AAM attempted to update itself but failed repeatedly. Downloading and installing a fresh AAM from the above link (Windows) resolved it and restored full functionality.
However: I have two Win 7 machines, both with master collection CS6 already installed, and the AAM failure occurred on one of them when attempting to download Photoshop CC (single app subscription). On the other machine, AAM updated without problems and transformed into the CC desktop app, as it should:
But on the "problem" machine I'm still stuck with the Application Manager. There's no way to update further:
Now, it apparently works as it should and I'm able to download and install the apps included in the subscription. But IME anything that doesn't update when it should is a problem waiting to happen. So how can I get the CC desktop app on this second machine?
I did find a standalone CC download on the ProDesign Tools site (along with a backup PS CC installer). Can I just run that, or is there a risk of messing up anything? I need to stress that this is a production machine at work and I simply cannot have any extended down time.
Specs for the "problem" machine: Windows 7 professional x64, i7-3820, 32 GB RAM, SSD boot/system 250 GB, 4TB spinning disks, CS6 Master collection, Photoshop CC, Lightroom 4.4, Lightroom 5.0.
I also need to mention that this machine is on a network domain, and the user account had to be changed since CS6 was installed (due to server/network problems). But everything on the machine runs locally.

  • Installation of Dreamweaver CC 2014 - Problem with Adobe Application Manager

Hi I have recently installed the Adobe Dreamweaver CC2014 as a trial, and I received this message:
Adobe Application Manager, necesario para iniciar la versión de prueba, falta o está dañado.
Descargue Adobe Application Manager de nuevo de
    http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager_es.
The thing is that I have installed the Adobe Application Manager and the problem persists.
What should I do to fix it?

You need to uninstall the CC desktop app & reinstall it. You can refer to :
1.Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps
2.Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop
you can't install CC without Internet access. Even if you can download the apps separately, you still need the application manager and it needs to connect to the servers to provide the licensing and activation.
