I have a brand new HP Split x2 and the store is saying that I cannot download the facebook app because my pc does not meet the requirements. However, other apps requiring more mb are able to be downloaded?

What generation of iPod touch do you have? If you don't know, see:

If you have an first-generation iPod touch, it can only go to iOS 3.1.3 and hence will not run the Facebook app. If you have a second-generation iPod touch, see:

I've got it working on mine by downloading the old facebook app version 4.0.1 from the following link. In iTunes, go to file menu, select add file to library and add the downloaded ipa file and facebook will appear in the apps screen. next sync will then put facebook on your iphone 3G.

What version of iOS are you running? I'm going to bet that you do NOT have a 3Gs. You have a 3G. The highest version of iOS that can run is 4.2.1.
If you did not save a copy of the older facebook at that could run on 4.2.1 on your computer that you can sync back, then you're out of luck. The newest version (and the only one available in the app store) will not run on 4.2.1.
You will have to resort to using the mobile web page in Safari or find a 3rd party app that will run on your phone.

Please skip the tethered (to PC) method for obtaining and using AppWorld. Instead, please try this sequence:
1) Remove AppWorld from your BB
KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so
2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.
3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld
http://blackberry.com/appworld/download (from your BB Browser)
Again, if it requests to reboot, do so.
4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot
5) See if it now works.

Can't download Facebook APP. Says "Waiting", please help.

I've spent 3 hours trying to figure this out online so this is my last resort. I've done all the resetting, the taking the restrictions off, resetting my phone a hundred times. Long story short I click on iPhone Apps store to download the Facebook app. Now it just says "installing". I have tried connecting it to my computer and installing it / deleting it that way (but didn't work), also I can't delete the app from my phone, I've done the press and hold it until the X pops up but there is no X, I've deleted it from the "Usage" part and its still there and won't reinstall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!

Note: If you haven't registered at the website above there is a 24hr registration grace period after you have received your printer code sheet, all you have to do is re-print the sheet again by navigating to your web services menu on your printer's front panel and selecting "Printer email address" .

The only way is if you still had a copy of it somewhere. By hard drive I assume that you mean your computer, and that you haven't backed up your content onto an external drive or flash drive (?). If not then you will need to find an alternative way to access Facebook as only the current version of each app is in the store so you won't be able to re-download an older version of it.
Are there any other Facebook apps in the store that will work on your iPod ?
