"Download failed" when trying to download apps fro...

Hey,
Whnever i try to download an application from the ovi store, the download bar goes upto 100% and then it says download failed. i have tried it many times with different applications. same thing everytime.
one thing i noticed is before i updated to v11 , i never faced this problem. and after updating, i havent been able to download a single thing.
Please help.
N97 Black - V11

After looking at so many places/forums/discussion groups, I could only find one real solution for this problem and that was 'hard reset' your phone.
I have to admit that i used to hate this solution the most but it worked for me, infact I'm a fan of 'backup' + 'hard reset' solution now!
Here is what you need:
1. Backup your data/settings
Backup your device settings/data with Nokia PC Suite/ Ovi Suite.
2. Hard Reset
Switch off the phone.
Press GREEN + RED + CAMERA + ON simultaneously until you see the “Select Country” option.
3. Restore
Restore your device using the same utility you used for backup.
Note:
The default password for hard reset is 12345.
I got all my settings back after I restored my device and the OVI app is working like a charm now!

  • Safari can't download file when trying to download movies

Safari responds with "safari can't download file' when I use download app to download movies . I don't have issues downloading apps or searching net.  Would be grateful for assistance.

You can't download something from Safari to your iPad.  iPad is a closed system, and not subject to virus intrusion.  Now, if for example you have a Kindle app and you go directly to Kindle in Safari and using your ID you buy a book, the book will download to your Kindle account, which you could then open your kindle App on your iPad and read the book you downloaded in your App.  But you can't go into Safari and just download a book or a movie directly to your iPad from the net........

  • Why am I getting 'VIs using Latched/Snap boolean cannot be downloaded' message when trying to download to the FP2000?

    Using LabVIEW 6.0.3 RT

LabVIEW RT has two modes of opeation: Development mode and Deployed mode.
In the development mode Labview provides you with a USER INTERFACE for debugging purposes but at the end you want to be in the Deployed mode where you develop the user interface to communicate with your embedded vi with differents ways like TCP/IP, UDP, DataSocket, VI SERVER, etc.
Therefore, not all the mechanical actions for boolean controls/indicators are supported under real time.
Remember that you dont have a physical interaction with the interface.
In the figure 2 you can see the 6 diferents mechanical actions available for LabVIEW, however for the VIs that are going to be embedded the only 4 supported are
the first two colums. If you use one of the two in the last colum
n you will get the warning message when trying to download the application.
You will need to use the supported mechanical actions for your application.

  • 'mounting failed' when trying to download iTunes8

I'm running OS X 10.4.11 on a PPC G5. I've tried to download iTunes8 (I currently have iTunes7.7, but need 8 for my new iPod), but at the end of the attempted download I get the message 'Mounting Failed'. I have spoken to 4 different operators in 2 different support departments (itunes/ipod support and computer support), but none have been able to help. One even said 'I've never heard of the message 'mounting failed' - perhaps it's a new one I haven't been told about".
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Itunes security update fails when trying to download a song.

I am trying to download a song from iTunes store and get a prompt to answer 3 security questions. I fill them out and enter other required data, then get an error that the answers cannot be saved. Any idea on how to resolve this?

Hmmmm. Head into your Problem reports and solutions control panel. Check your Problem History. Are there problem reports showing up in there which always seem to be recorded when the iTunes crashes happen? (The events may not necessarily be listed as iTunes problem reports ... so check through the entire problem history for reports produced as the same time as the iTunes crashes.)
If you find such problem reports, doubleclick on them to show more information about the problem. Could you please paste copies of the contents of the typical examples of problem reports into a reply here so we can have a look at them?

  • Download error when trying to download and save on Adobe XI

Since Jan. 26th I have tried to download PDF files and save them and keep getting download error. I have removed and reinstalled Adobe XI several times still having "error" when downloading or saving. This has happened with previous Adobe.

Basically, a business that I work with sent me an email.  I opened the email and it stated, "To open the artist names click here".  I clicked and the adobe xi came up with that message.  The reason that I know that it is in an excel form is because before I got Windows 7 in December, I had xp.  When I had XP I just clicked it and the artist name list would come up in excel with no problem. I have Adobe Flashplayer 16 Active x and Adobe Reader XI 11.0 .10.  So as far as what programs..unable to answer that.  I typically in other cases am able to open pdf files. I had problem opening one other file when I did it was also an excel file.

  • I can't find the download manager when trying to download CS6

I can't find the download manager.  I'm trying to download from a special adobe licensing site.

Sorry, it's probably really easy to do, but I'm not sure how to change it. I have a Mac book. Can you help? It's strange that it seems to be the only tab missing, and only when I connect my iphone to sync, it doesn't happen when I sync my ipod. It's weird, and it never used to disappear. I need the photo tab back
Sorry, and thanks to anyone that can help

    Hi Holli94,
Can you please check the permissions on the following folders and confirm if you have full Read & Write permission or not. If not, please give full permission and that should fix the problem.
    1) /Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe
    2) ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe
    3)/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager
    4) /Utilities/Creative Cloud Desktop Application.
    Cheers,

  • Getting a "Cannot Download" message  when trying to download a purchased TV episode.

My friend doesn't have internet at home, and has tried downloading Breaking Bad episodes on her iPad to take home with her -- and keep getting a "cannot download" message! The error then says that  "You can manage your storage in Settings."
When I go to settings, it says that there are 13GB used . . . but after expanding the list of apps and their usage, she's using maybe 2GB, tops, combined! And also has plenty of iCloud storage.
So how do I find out what is actually using the storage? And how do I clear it so that she can download new episodes?

Is the movie a movie downloaded from iTunes? The iPad can only play certain movie files. Where have you downloaded the movie from? Some DVDs or other files from other internet sources may not work with the iPad.

  • Why do I get connection failed when logging in on app store on wireless, but Wired LAN works fine?

I've been having the same issue as many other people. On OSX Lion with latest updates as of 3/20/2012. Tried deleting .plist files, checking keychain access and even reset keychain. I still get the error of Connection Failed when trying to download updates or a new app from the app store.
I also can't connect to the iTunes "Account" area. It produces an error that the request failed (-1200)
I finally decided to try a wired connection instead of my wireless. Now it works great! So I removed my wireless network and re-added it. Back to square one. Work around for now is fine, but I should be able to use this over wireless, too!
I just now tested connecting to a different wireless network (EVO Hotspot) and it worked fine. So it's something specific to my office wireless network. Nothing changed on our firewall (I'm the administrator). It just stopped working.

    Hi ...
Perhaps there's something that you haven't tried here >  Troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues in OS X Lion

  • I have tried to download Mavericks on my 2010 iMac(10.6.8), but nothing happens, not even the install app downloads, also I tried to download chrome, I moved it to the applications folder and when I opened the folder it wasn't there

I have tried to download Mavericks on my 2010 iMac(10.6.8), but nothing happens, not even the install app downloads, also I tried to download chrome, I moved it to the applications folder and when I opened the folder it wasn't there. I have a 1tb hard drive that is mostly empty. By the way I just got this imac used from a reseller.

Mavericks downloads into the Applications folder, where you can install it.   Some Mac App Store Troubleshooting information and how to resume a download that was interrupted; some of the information here might get you an answer.   Failing that, try contacting Apple Support.

  • Why do I keep getting an unknown error when trying to download an app from the app store on my iPod touch 4th generation when I put in the correct password?

I keep getting the same unknown error has occurred when trying to download an app what is wrong?

as an example.. from the sprint forum for a different device (unsure what device.. it's just not an iphone since no iphone or ios device has these settings -- ive seen this advice several times and I believe it's some form of android.. but not sure)
advice from the carrier advisor --
"Clear data in the Dialer and Dialer storage.... under manage Applications> All.
That is Settings - Applications - Choose All to view All choices - then find Dialer and clear the Data. Repeat this for the Dialer Storage as well. I personally also deleted the message thread first from the text message window and my log history which is a menu item from your call screen."
and another for you from a customer -- it is sprint again.. but this time a Samsung Epic
"OMG ... if someone can't tell me how to fix this "9230: Message sent using invalid number of digits..." error, I'm going to scream.  My husband and I both have Sprint Epic phones and love them EXCEPT for this one problem! Help!"
    Maybe they should sue Samsung?
