Download - files not located

This is very frustrating! I bought a single song, downloaded it and all is well. Everytime I buy and iTune Essentials playlist, it crashes my computer and then the files are missing when it restarts and finishes downloading. Sometimes 3 or 4, this time I only have 6 of 27 files on my computer. iTunes has them showing as purchased but they are NOT on my computer.
Come on Apple. This *****!! One or two songs occasionally I can live with. But this is brutal. What a waste of money!!

Hello Cor-el,
I went to Tools>Options>Privacy and it is checked off as you indicated/noted...
I will check out the URL downloads+windows later this week...
ZoneAlarm will not work with the latest Firefox versions 14 (or earlier ones)... so reverted to an older version of Firefox and ZoneAlarm... and it works! Aside- it is ANNOYING to click on latest version upload for Firefox and then get a screen showing what software is not compatible with that version. So I needed to remove the latest Firefox version and ZoneAlarm.. and re-install both.
No need to use Firefox 10.0.6 ESR because I am a small home user and not a big organization?
Thanks for your help, I will have to make the time this coming week and look into this further.

    Download files not saved. Click on download and then click on "Save", next the download window opens, but it does not show the download file?
    I recently downloaded Nero 11 and then removed. I also deleted some software Babylon, Yonno (? some name) in control panel.
    Using ZoneAlarm 10.1.101 and Firefox 10.0.2 (removed and reinstalled).

  • Downloading file not the correct contents

    Hi,
    I have a link on another page the take me over to the page that contains the code below:

    <cfdirectory directory="#FPATH#" name="FILES" action="LIST">

    </CFLOOP>
    </TABLE>
    </CFOUTPUT>
    When I select the test.cfm link, a dialog box appears asking to either Save or Open the file.
    The issue is the file, test.cfm, contents is not what is being saved or displayed when Open is selected.
    Is there something I'm missing?

  • Music files not located....

    I have another issue...
    When updating my ipod, it says "Could not update "suchandsuchsong". ITs path could not be located. Search for it?
    Well the file is there, because I can manually search for it. But now it wont play in my itunes, because it cannot locate it. There is a gray exclamtion point before the song title.
    The songs are there, as I said before, becase I can manually locate them. Any thoughts?

    This is not the answer I would like to give you but there's got to be a better way to do this, it going to sound rediculous but there I go:
    1. Go to you your "empty" playlist (meaning the one itunes can not locate" pick anyone
    2. Double click, (it going to show you can not Locate)
    3. Click "Locate" then go to "All My Files" but make sure your check mark "Name" meaning you are looking the files By Name right? you will have
        to do this once, at the beggining when you click "All My Files" might be empty, the reason being is because "Name" is not checked,
    4. On Search just write the mp3 title you are looking for, Just click on it and click "Open"
    I know this is ants job, but I least you recover what you "thought" it was lost.....Again there is got to be another way specially when you have thousand songs

  • .download files not clearing after download

    Hi,
    When I download a file using Safari, the ".download" file that is created temporarily never goes away when the download is complete. I have to trash it manually.
    I am on 10.8.2 and Safari 6.0.2 but as far as I can remember this has been happening since Lion came out. When I went to Mountain Lion I wiped the drive and did a clean install, still happens.
    Only happens on one of my Macs.
    Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I have "Remove download list items" set to "Upon Sucessful Download" and I have Open "safe" files checked. I switched to "When Safari Quits" briefly but that did not make a difference.
    Thanks
    Dave

  • [Verifying Downloads] Java-Downloaded file not same filesize as on server

    This is in the security forum, but really involves a few details:
    1.) My program downloads files from a server
    2.) I have precalculated hash md5 values and file sizes in a .cfg file in the server which is also downloaded
    3.) The md5 is calculated of the downloaded files
    4.) The filesize is checked and the md5s are checked
    I have 4 client windows computers I've tested this on. It worked on 3. The fourth has a strange behavior: About every other file would have ~ 8 additional bytes in the filesize. I have no idea where those bytes are coming from, everytime it redownloads, same filesize, albeit 8 bytes too big. Therefore, the Md5 is screwed up.
    Here's my downloading from server code:
    OutputStream out = null;
              InputStream  in = null;
              try {
                   URLConnection dat = online.openConnection();
ParentFile().mkdirs();
                   out = new FileOutputStream(local);
                   while(true){
                        try {
                             in = dat.getInputStream();
                             break;
                        } catch (ConnectException e){
                             System.err.println("Couldn't contact server!");
                   byte[] buffer = new byte[1024];
                   int numRead;
                   tsecago = System.nanoTime();
                   readbytessecAgo = -1;
                   while ((numRead = in.read(buffer)) != -1) {
                        out.write(buffer, 0, numRead);
                        readbytes += numRead;
              } catch (Exception e){
                   e.printStackTrace();
              } finally {
                   try {
                        if (in != null) {
                             in.close();
                        if (out != null) {
                             out.close();
                   } catch (IOException ioe) {
              }SO, my solution was as follows:
    1.) Download file once and check md5 & filesize
    2.) If failed, download file AGAIN and check md5 & filesize
    3.) If failed 2x, download file for last time and check filesize - if the filesize is within 40 bytes of the actual file, allow it.
    This now works on all 4 computers, and as far as I can tell the downloaded files are wholly correct.
    But this is really annoying! Why is the above download code producing 8 extra bytes?!

    Thanks for your reply, Timo, and John, the same file downloading is working fine with my Integrated weblogic server, but the same application when i deployed in my DEV server i am getting the error.
    Code which i am trying to download file is
    public void downloadCardInserts(FacesContext facesContext,
    OutputStream outputStream) throws FileNotFoundException,
    IOException {
    // Add event code here...
    UploadedFile filename=(UploadedFile)browseFile.getValue();
    String fname=filename.getFilename();
    String fname1="//bwi-wfp-v01/Apps/SCII/TEST/LOG/Cards/RENEWAL/"+fname;
    System.out.println("file name11111:"+fname1);
    FileInputStream in = new FileInputStream(new File(fname1));
    byte[] buffer = new byte[1024];
    int bytes = in.read(buffer);
    while (bytes >= 0) {
    outputStream.write(buffer, 0, bytes);
    bytes = in.read(buffer);
    }

  • Download file not being checked-in, similar to GET_FILE

    Hello,
    Is it possible to simulate the behaviour of the GET_FILE service but for a file that is not checked-in into the Content Server?
    Meaning, I want to get the download popup with that file as I get it from the call of the GET_FILE service. The file itself is, let's say, created dynamically from some text content, but it's not checked-in into the CS. So basically how to send its stream back to the browser ?
    Thanks,
    V

    Yes, but you will have to write the service yourself.
    There is actually quite a good blueprint, if you take a look at the Dynamic Converter (which creates an html rendition on a service call).

  • Download file ' not mountable'

    I am trying to set up a connection with Netgear Wireless Router DG834GV2 and have been advised I must first download the upgraded firmware. I have tried 3 times and get the after tries to download that it is not mountable. I have checked the firewall is off on my iBook G4 (10.4.6), I have checked with Netgear I am accessing the correct firmware. Can anyone help me please?

    What do you mean 'not mountable'? If you're downloading a firmware file it shouldn't be mountable - you should upload it to your router using the router's admin interface.
    The only thing I can think of is that the file has a filename extension that makes the Mac think it's a disk image - that's relatively common due to the limited number of filename extensions around.
    Maybe a link to the file you're downloading might help determine if that's the problem.

  • Itunes update download file not saving

    Previous to 5.1.1 iOS updates, iTunes (MAC) used to download the package update for given hardware (iPhone 3GS / 4 / etc) and keep that pacakge local on the machine for future updates.
    I update many iPhones daily due to business.
    iTunes would download the 5.1 package for iPhone 3GS or 4 etc, and i could conitnue to update as many phones's as needed without iTunes having to re-download the entire 700mb+ package over and over again.
    Now, with 5.1.1, ever time i plug in a different phone that requires an update (even if same model) it re-downloads the 700mb+ update package each time before peforming the update.
    I could not see any settings to say, keep the update package file local.  I assume its only storing in temporary files, then deleting after update is complete.
    VERY ANNOYING!!!
    Any ideas out there?

    The files are in folders in your user account/Library/iTunes.  The folders are named iPhone Software Updates, iPad...etc.  When you connect a device, option+click on "Check for Update" and select the update file.  If you are using Lion (OS X 10.7.x) the user account/Library is not accessible thru iTunes.  Access the library folder from the Finder's Go menu.  Hold down the Option key for the library to appear in the Go menu. Then copy the update files to your desktop.  When you option+click check for updates, you'll be able to access the update files on your desktop.

    In my Jdeveloper soa composite project, I have the TrX_RemoveNamespace.xsl in the XSL folder, so I don't know why it can't be found at runtime.
    Are there any additionnals settings to do, to make the file present in the mds ?

    I've checked in my MDS and the path for the file TrX_RemoveNamespace.xsl is /deployed-composites/PSIP_COMPOSITE_rev1.0/xsl/TrX_RemoveNamespace.xsl

  • Download File not opening correctly in Firefox... (Works fine in IE...)

    Running the following code snippet in Oracle 11.2, APEX 4.2.3, IE 10, Firefox 24:
    procedure download_to_user
    is
    t_excel blob;
    t_filename varchar2(200);
      begin
      t_excel := finish;
      t_filename := 'test.xlsx';
       htp.flush;
       owa_util.mime_header( 'application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet', false );
       htp.print( 'Content-Length: ' || dbms_lob.getlength( t_excel ) );
      htp.print( 'Content-disposition: attachment; filename=' || t_filename || ';' );
      htp.print( 'Content-Description: Generated by as_xslx' );
      owa_util.http_header_close;
      wpg_docload.download_file( t_excel );
      apex_debug_message.log_message( 'done' );
      end;
    Now the strange part.. It works fine in IE & Chrome when I have it called from a button click on a form, when I try it in Firefox, it returns a garbled file that Firefox thinks IT Should open...  I would think since all the issues we seem to have with IE that this would be the opposite..

    Hi TexasApexDeveloper,
    I don't have IE10 to test this with but I find it strange that you don't need to add
    APEX_APPLICATION.stop_apex_engine;
    or
    APEX_APPLICATION.g_unrecoverable_error := TRUE;
    at the end of your code, to stop possible branches or further rendering.
    That's the only thing in your code that I can see that can indicate an error. Can you create an example on apex.oracle.com if that does not help?
    Regards,
    Joni
