Download from computer to camera

I admit I'm new at this. I have iPhoto2 which came with my Panther installation. I upgraded to Panther a few months ago and am starting to use other stuff like iCal and iPhoto
I am running OS 10.3.9. My camera is an HP R607 with dock.
I am wanting to move image files from the computer back to the camera, so I can use theh TV display mode on the dock. The images were initially made by this camera.
When I try to download, by an export from iPhoto, about half the images transfer and about half transfer but elicit and error message (can't read the image) on my camera. All I get is an orange screen and a message when I try to review them on the camera. As far as I know I have not altered the images or the file name after they arrived at the computer.
I reformatted the memory card before the transfer, and transferred into the folder on the camera where I normally find images. I have not had to use iPhoto to get the images on teh computer as the camera appears as a hard drive on my desktop when I mount it in the dock.
Any ideas? There is one box in the export screen that is checked "use extensions". What does this do?

I don't know where iPhoto came if it didn't come with the Panther install. In any case......
The camera, from the file information window, says for format "Macintosh PC Exchange (MS-DOS)". HP wants the camera set to the disk mode if you don't have their "Image Zone" software installed. I will install it and try it in the camera mode.
I did try out my question on HP tech support without much success. They told me to make sure I formatted my card and that I was doing everything right.
I'll fiddle some more and see what happens, like moving files in small batches or someting. It is frustrating as some files make it and some don't

How do I delete photos from ipad that were downloaded from computer during a sync?

Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view.
Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing.

Is iPhoto open when you connect the camera and are you seeing the camera in iPhoto?
If not then describe in detail how you're going about trying to import photos from your Samsung camer into your iPhoto Library.  From what you've described we have no idea what's going on.
And where is this "import" folder located that you're referring to?

  • How to upload photos from computer to camera memory card?

I want to copy a few select photos and AVI files from the Organizer back to a new camera memory card.

A new message was posted by Colin Walls:
how to upload photos from computer to camera memory card:
Open Organizer. Then open Windows Explorer [My Computer] and navigate to the memory card "drive." Drag the images from Organizer to the memory card.
    Dear Colin Walls:
Thanks for your excellent tip. It works just as you said. The WHY I want to do this is:
when I want to print a lot of pictures, I take my memory card to Longs Drug store and use their "machine." Naturally, I want to have all the photos I need on the card.
A few days ago at Longs, I edited about 75 photos of a recent family reunion from my 512MB SD card taken with my Canon PowerShot A510. I ended up ordering 198 4x6 prints. My daughter had several good reunion photos on her digital camera. She e-mailed me seven photos as attachments, thus they were on my computer, but not on my memory card, until I started dragging as per the hint from Colin Walls.
Windows Explorer shows the file structure on the card as one DCIM folder, with subfolders 155 CANON, 156 CANON, 157 CANON, 158 CANON, and CANONMSC. I proceeded to drag each my daughter's seven photos from PS Elem. 4 Organizer to the folder 158 CANON, except that I dragged one to the folder CANONMS, by mistake.
The good news is that Longs machine and PS Elem. 4 both see ALL the photos on the card. The bad news is that my camera does not see the added photos, nor does the Canon ZoomBrowser 3.2 and 5.5 programs, nor the Picasa2 program.
    Thanks Colin. Gary Docherty

  • How do I edit/delete photos in album downloaded from computer?

How can I edit or delete photos in an album that I downloaded from my computer?

Actually you need to point them to either Adobe Camera RAW, ACR, and or Photoshop. Bridge is only a image File Management program and used to open either ACR or Photoshop to edit images.
But if you have Photoshop, and Bridge, installed I suggest you Stop using iPhoto and start using the REAL Image Editing program you have installed, Photoshop.
All iPhoto will do is confuse you and your images. Also stop letting iPhoto import your images. iPhoto stores images inside it program folder structure and makes it hard to get to any one image you want to copy or move. Start copying your images to a Folder of your choosing and use Bridge to view and then send them to Photoshop and or ACR for editing.
If you want to have a Program import them Photoshop includes Photo Downloader to copy your images from your camera or memory card to a folder of YOUR Choosing.
iPhoto is for the Amateur. Since you have Photoshop and are working with RAW images you are no amateur.

  • Music download from computer

how do i download from a computer every time that i hook it up to my pc it says that the sd card is busy

I have provided some information below that will help with transferring files from your computer to your device.
If your SD card is saying busy, I would review the following section below in your device.
Step 1 - Mounting your SD card (if you have an existing SD card)
    -Select your menu key
    -Select settings
-Select SD card & phone storage
-Mount SD card (if Unmount is showing, you may need to format the card)
If step 1 worked, you can put the device in Mass Storage mode so that your computer will recognize your device. I have provided the link below on the instruction.
    http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=33714
Step 2 - Formatting the SD card ***If step 1 did not resolve the issue
***Caution, if there is information already on the SD card, it will be erased.
    -Select your menu key
    -Select settings
-Select SD card & phone storage
    -Format SD card
    http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=33734
Step 3 - Lastly, if step 2 does not work, I would recommend removing the SD card, and placing it back in. I have provided the instructions below:

    I hope this information helps.

  • Message says to download from computer and synch - but my Mac is too old!

I have now paid for two new apps for my iPad. Keynote and iThoughtHD. Both tell me I can download and start to download. However when they are half downloaded it cuts out and a message tells me I will need to download from Apple Stor when I am next on my Compute. So I have now downloaded to iTunes on my Mac. Problem is my Mac is an old 10.4 OS and is not compatible with iPad. What do I do now, I.e. How do I get these two aps to my iPad? Thanks
    Message was edited by: Worldcitizenkiwi

What Mac model do you have? If it isn't a really old one, you should be able to upgrade it to Mac OS X 10.5.8, which is the minimum required version to sync with an iPad.
The upgrade to 10.5 isn't free, but I would check the usual places, e.g. eBay. I think you can also still buy it from Apple directly if you ask, but that would be for the full original list price.

  • Downloading from HD video camera

I am new to transferring video from my new HD video camera to my Macbook. I want to download the video then burn it onto DVD. So, when I try and use the one step DVD mode in IDVD, it says I have to download the video to IMovie HD first then transfer it over to IDVD because the camera is HD. But when I download it, it seems like the speed of the video is off, maybe faster?, and the sound is about 5-10 seconds behind the video. And the 60 min video is only 49 mins long once it is on the computer. Has anyone had this problem? I am a real newbie to this and would really appreciate some help/ideas. Thanks

    Hi Sandy,
Thanks for the help there. I am not sure if I am doing the right things or not. I did what you said and it still doesn't seem to be lined up. I know that on my camera the video is 1hr long but on the downloaded version it is only 49 mins. Is there a speed control or something? Even the video when you are watching it seems slightly too fast, (its a workout video). Let me know if you think there is a speed control. In the picture screen on the camera when I am downloading it is the right speed and volume is correct.
    Thanks again

  • How do I transfer music downloads from computer to my iPOD?

I downloaded two songs from the iTUNES store.  They are on my computer, but I cannot
get them to transfer to my iPOD.  Every time I clock SEND TO my iPOD I get a message
that tells me my iPOD is not connected.   I have checked my USB connections, everything
is fine.  My iPOD battery has a full charge and is on.

Settings > music > show all music > on.
That way you can just download it and don't need to sync it from iTunes.

  • After upgrading to Apeture I lost half the photos. And can no longer download from my digital Camera. What can I do?

After upgrading to Apeture I lost  half my photos from iPhoto. And find it difficut to transfer images
from digital camers. Do you have a solution? Can I download direct to hard drive and skip Aperture?

Since iPhoto and Aperture use the same library format now, do you see your missing photos when you open the same library in iPhoto again? Did you upgrade both Aperture and iPhoto? Have you checked to see if you've entered any text into the various search fields in Aperture? Have you checked for any hidden search filters?
As for transferring digital photos, when you say it's difficult, do you mean that the process is complicated, or that there seem to be actual problems transferring the images?

  • DNG Download from Leica M9 Camera

My LR3.3 on Win-7 is trying to download DNG compressed by Leica M9. Images are visible in grid view, but when I go to full size preview the message is "Preview not possible" or something similar.
Tried to download ACR6,4  but was informed this was not necessary. Then installed Adobe DNG converter v. 6.4 but response is the same.
Other problem is that LR3 is not presented as an AutoPlay option in Win-7..
    Any help appreciated.

Sorry I was not clear. Just succeeded in LR3.3 under Win XP SP3, viewing DNG by Leica DMR. Import candidates are in grid view then previewed one prior to import in loupe view no prob. That is what failed in Win 7 with compressed DNG fm Leica M9 using SanDisk Ultra 8 GB SDHC.
Good news is that the aforesaid loupe preview has now succeeded with 2GB SD card. This, mind you, despite recommended use of SanDisk in the M9 manual. Thanks for your help.

you can move a file from your computer to a usb device using a 2 instances of your file browser.  (though once you get savvy you should look for a dual paned file browser.)
