can i download from my itunes account using my pc after my original download of music to my new nano was on a mac without loosing all my mac downloaded music?
can you tell me how please. many thanks. I've just connected it to pc and its asking to reformat the nano for the pc. will this affect whats already on there?

Once the music has been downloaded to your iPhone, you can transfer purchases from your device to iTunes.

If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
Mac OS X: ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
Windows 7: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading Digital Copies using Windows:
Use MSCONFIG (directions for Windows XP and Windows Vista/Windows 7) to disable conflicting software.
If using MSCONFIG steps resolves the issue, you may want to use the System Configuration Utility to turn on the third-party System Services and Startup Items one at a time (restarting your computer after turning on the item or items) to identify which System Service or Startup Item is causing the conflict.
You can turn all of them back on by selecting the Normal Startup option under the General tab of the System Configuration Utility window, but please note that this may cause the issue to reoccur.
If you are able to isolate the issue to a particular third-party software, you may wish to contact them to let them know of the conflict.

When I attempt to re-download Lion to my MacBook Air I get the following error: localhost Install Mac OS Lion[436]: Retrying pisa://1183a0570:::/InstallESD.dmg after 1 failure(s). I am trying to re-install the OS after erasing having erased the drive. Any ideas?
I had the exact same issue; Lion recovery from Command + R would hang with the logs showing the same message. To resolve, I used Disk Utility to remove the recovery partition. My Air then used Internet Recovery to load all the tools. When using Reinstall via Internet it worked just fine.

I just migrate settings and software, include CC, from my PowerBook to a new Mac Pro. All the software download from CC is there and working, except for CC, and there is not way to install. I have try because every time I restar keep bothering asking for installation, (by the way, the link is not up to date). Will appreciate your help.
never migrate adobe software. it should be properly installed.

You have four options that I know of.
1) Use an external DVD drive that will work on the MBA. (Apple's external Superdrive for MBA)
2) Use a remote disk connection, using another Mac with a DVD drive, and sharing the drive with the MBA.
3) Download Office from Microsoft's website, and then use only the registration code that came with your DVD purchase to authorize the registration.
4) Copy the contents of the Office DVD to a USB flash drive, using another computer. Then install from that flash drive.
Maybe someone else has an idea, if none of the above will woek for you. -

If you mean by using photo stream, you can but iCloud only keeps photo stream photos for 30 days. You will need to download them to your Mac during this 30 day window or they will no longer be available.
Or, just leave the photos in the camera roll on your iPad until you return, then import them to iPHoto on your Mac as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. -

If you want to upgrade to iphoto 11 then you'll need to either
1. Upgrade your OS to 10.7.5 - which requires a purchase of the OS

2. Find an iLife 11 install disk. You may get one on Amazon or Ebay. -

I know how to download one song at a time, but cannot figure out how to "download all" as stated in the Help section. I know to select all via command+A, but not how to click on "download all". I'm disappointed in your cut-and-paste response to be honest. I understand you must get a lot of support requests but trying to understand each individual case helps everyone ultimately.
I've done everything in your many support documents. It was a waste of time. I explained in the original case a specific problem (partial file download). That in itself ruled out most the support article fixes.
I tried different OS X user account, on different computer, using different network. I've deleted Downloads temp folder. I'm using latest iTunes version. Latest OS X version on iMac and MacBook Pro. I've disabled firewall. My internet connection is perfectly robust, reliable and fast.
I even downloaded another much larger movie from iTunes successfully on same day.
Have you considered that the problem might be with Apple's servers, the actual file, or high demand for the newly released movie?

I scoured the web looking everywhere for a solution to this.

OSX 8.5 with Work@Home DVD media for CS6
I followed instructions to run 3rd party cleaner software
I tried the adobe removal tool
removing all copies of adobe software manually
installing from a new account, safe mode, plist everything suggested that i found did not work.
A colleague suggested that removing the below folder would allow the installation:
/Library/Application Supports/Adobe
They turned out to be correct, so i am passing this on, because this took far too many hours of my time.
