Download games but need iOS 4
I was trying to download games into my original iPad. I got a notice that I need iOS4. I searched online. I was told to download that from iTune. I checked around iTune but can't figure how. HELP.
I think you have ios 4, and you need ios5. Could you have read it wrong? Anything in the store for downloads wil be based on the current system, which is ios5.1. Plug your pad into your computer with iTunes, and update your system. Note, your version of I tunes is probably out of date as well. Let it update to the current version, then plug the pad it. It will detect that it needs an update, and walk you through the process.

1. Open iTunes on your computer and go to the App Store
2. Download the apps you want to your iTunes account in iTunes
3. On your iPad, tap the App Store
4. Tap the purchased tab
5. The apps you downloaded to your iTunes account on your computer will be listed with a cloud icon next to them.
6. Tap the cloud and if the app will run on a lower version of iOS, it will give you the option to download a version that will run on your iPad. If the app doesn't give you the option, there's nothing you can do. -

I am using Apple ipod 2nd gen with IOS 4.2.1 . No i recently updated my IOS and all my apps were deleted. Now when i download IBOOKS it needs IOS 5. How do i get the apps which are copatible with IOS 4.2.1 or IPOS 2nd GEN??
You should always have your apps on your computer. If you have failed to keep a copy of the old app versions, then you cannot get them back at all.

Can download games, but cant open them
I can download games, from msn, but when go to play them, I just get a blank page.....is there something in firefox that I need to download so my laptop will read them...I have tried downloading Java and that hasnt helped...
you probably should have two files, an exe and a 7z file in the same directory. if so, click (or double click) the exe.

Unable to open downloaded game. Says need to be administrator/I am. Repair disk permissions w/disk utility no help...what do I do?

Help downloaded game and need to find out how to add to iPod
i downloaded the new ipod mini golf and i cant seem to find out how to add it to the thing please help.

1) Connect your iPod to the computer.
2) Click the iPod in iTunes under Source (to the left).
3) Click the Games tab.
4) Select Sync all games
5) Choose File --> Sync "iPod" to add the game
You need to have a 5G iPod with video to play the game

It's either in the following folders: (My) Documents, or Downloads.
Simple to find, just do another download, and pay attention to the file path.

My son just attempted to load a soccer game 1.38 gb, it returned a message stating not enough local storage space but he hsa 2.3 gb available after eleting some items.....any ideas???? thx
To download and install an app the iPod needs storage available equal to about three times the file download size.
If you sync from your iTunes library less storage available is required. -

Its unfair! I tried to download all the games for ipod 3G that the apple community said but all of them needs ios 4.3 . Why is it like that! Can you please explain!
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1. The hardware prevent unsing a higher version.

I had to change my settings back to factory settings. Now if I try to get a game or an app it tells me I need iOS at least 4.5. I hooked up to my pc and went to iTunes but can not find a download for any iOS. It just gives info on all they offer. Any help ????
To update to the current version (which is the only version 'signed' by Apple). connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases - you may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
You can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button.
