Download HP34970A labview driver

Hello,
When I download Agilent 34970A labview driver and extracted it in my C:\TEMP folder, I couldn't open the labview example; it keeps LOADING and SEARCHING the file.
There is a message when I open the labview library '[warning: has been deleted, renamed or removed on dis]" it appears every single file.
Please help.
Ken

Yes it needs to be in labview\instr.lib folder.

  • Olympus BX61 LabView driver - unable to connect

I have downloaded the LabView driver for the Olympus BX61 motorized microscope but am unable to establish any communication. There is a thread on this forum from May this year discussing the same problem but it does not come to any conclusions. Did anyone actually get this driver to work?
I can control the microscope with the BX2 software from Olympus so I know that the serial port is OK. I've asked the manufacturer for the serial port settings and they gave me a few different options (7 or 8 bits etc, I thought that was a bit strange). I think I've tried all possible permutations so I think the problem must be somewhere else. I've also tried changing the end of line character. The error is reported in Visa Read, which times out.
The problem is the same as that described in the pervious thread (Error: "BFFF0015 Timeout expired before operation completed."). Hoping that the two people who had the problem did solve it and could give me the simple solution...
    Thanks for any suggestions

Using JDeveloper 10.1.3? SQL Developer? Works for me... just tried it.
I too have Oracle 9i client on this PC. It works at home, too, where all I have is XE and JDeveloper 10.1.3. SQL Developer works too.
    If you're working at the command-line or using Eclipse/NetBeans, I don't know...

It's in the download. Did you unzip the file and install it in the correct location? It's in the hp34970u.llb. And why are you using that instead of the current LabVIEW driver - the project style one?

The Instrument Driver Network has all the drivers for instruments. There is no driver specific to that model, but there is one for the 6310B. Perhaps that may work for you. You may need to modify it. If not, you will need to write one yourself. You can get a lot of material for this here: http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/development.htm

  • Labview driver for agilent 8164A tunable laser

I'm working on a project that involves setting up our Agilent 8164A lightwave measurement system in labview. I cannot locate the driver software on the NI website. Please let me know where I can download the driver for this equipment. Thanks.

Actually we don't have a driver for that instrument in our website, so that means that we also don't have it in the CD. So you may want to check the Agilent's website, or as a matter of surprise, I found in our database one document that was talking about some past issue and it involved the 8166 instrument, so the author attached the driver for this instrument so we can reproduce what he found out, so I'm attaching this file here which is the file the previous Sr. mention, "hp816x", I installed it in my computer and run it and it is an Agilent made driver, so you can use this one or try to contact the Agilent people. Also you may request a LabVIEW driver been made for this instrument, please see the details at: O
ther Driver's Resources from our download site.

  • Intersense inertiacube labview driver

    HI,
Im working on a school project and I have a problem. I am working with a 3D orientation sensor (intersense inertiacube3). I can read this sensor with the help of a joystick emulation driver. But i have some problems installing this driver on some of the test PCs. So i have to develop a labview driver. I have downloaded the intersense intertrax driver for labview but this isnt working. I tried writing a driver myself based on the api and documentation provided with the sensor. but the documentation is about C++ and I have no experience with C at all. I tried to compile the C++ code to labview by using the call library function.
I hope someone can help me, I include the documentation.
    thnx in advance

  • Labview driver for signal generator can not find DLL

The labview driver "age82xx.zip" I downloaded from NI website can not find DLL "age82xx_32.dll". There is no this dll file in the zip file. Please help me. The labview version is 7.0. The instrument is Agilent E8254A. Thanks!

On the download page, there is a link under "Require Third-Party Installation(s)". This is explained at the top of NI's page. Clicking on the link will take you to Agilent's web site where you will have to select the 'Signal Generators' link to get the E82xxA driver.

  • Oriental Motor : ARD-KD & Labview driver

    Hi,
    I have a stepper motor (ARM69AK) and controller ARD-KD.
Does anyone have a Labview driver for this controller or sample code.
I want to use RS485 to control it.
I downloaded and installed modbus Labview Library.
    thanks in advance

    Tman-
It sound like all you need to know how to do is send the ESC key over serial. You can use any of the suggestions in this KB (even though it says its for 6.1, it will work with any version of LabVIEW):

  • I am looking labview driver for Tektronix TLA704 logic analyzer

I need this labview driver desperately, I am very appreciated if you have it and courtesy me a copy.
    Thanks

I did some looking around on the Tektronix web site.
Tek does not seem all that interested in supporting the
TLA704 in particular, or LabView(tm) for logic analyzers
at all. IMHO the Tek site sucks when you need to find
    information in depth.
I looked through National Instruments site too. Now on this
site it was easy to find what I was looking for. Good job.
Developing a LabVIEW instrument driver for a logic analyzer
looks to be a non-trivial task for anything more involved than
starting a capture and waiting for the data to log. Depending
on the driver it could be real slow getting a load of data from
    the logic analyzer.
It might be better to use the TLA programmatic interface
(TPI) to run the TLA704 by remote control over the Ethernet.
All the support for this comes with the analyzer software.
Though it's really painful to get it setup in Windows 98.
This way you could create a Windows program that runs
on your workstation to connect to the TLA704, set it up,
start a run, and download the data. Once the data is in
your workstation you can reformat for use by LabView.
I don't know that this would be easier than making a
LabVIEW instrument driver for a logic analyzer, but
at least all the software exists right now to control
    the TLA704 remotely.
    Charles.
I don't work for National Instruments,
or Tektronix or use LabView. But I use
    logic analyzers way too much.

  • Ettus research N210 - NI Labview driver

I am using the Ettus research USRP N210 with LFTX/RX daughter boards. I was informed by NI representatives that it is compatible with labview if I download the NI driver software. I need assistance accessing the driver software and the installation procedure.  Thank you.

    Hey!
I got an N210 from Ettus and the SBX daughterboard. My intention is to use LabVIEW with that. I used the NI-USRP configuration utility to burn the FPGA and firmware images, but the device will simply not send anything. According to what Erik replied to the initiator of this thread it might be necessary to use property nodes to configure the USRP, but it holds for LFRX/TX or the BasicRX/TX.
Is it possible that it holds for the SBX as well? If not, could you please suggest what might be wrong? As of now I have notbeen configuring the settings by using property node, because I don't know if it is obligatory with SBX board.
    Thanks,
    Filip

  • Who do contact about a specific Labview Driver (Stanford Research SR785)

    Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to go, but how would one find out more about a specific Labview driver if the manufacture doesn't provide support?
In my case, I have a Labview 8 driver for a Stanford Research SRS785. The driver works great except for one thing, and I'm trying to make sure I'm using it correctly. When I contact Stanford Research, they inform me that they cannot provide support as they did not write the driver.
How would I find out where the driver came from, where I can get more information, etc.?
Just for your information, the driver works in every method except for one. If I want to use the "Upload Capture Buffer" (GPIB command is "CGET") it doesn't seem to work and I'm not sure why. No matter how many data points I've captured (In my case, 2 channels at 64,000 points each), when I call the "Upload Capture Buffer" VI, it returns 256,000 values of what appears to be random numbers, but exactly the same for both channels.  Sorry for giving too many details.
All other driver functions appear to work just fine, as I've used it for other things.
I'm just wondering, from any LV developers, how you would go about finding the author and asking questions about a driver such as this?
    Regards,
    Jeff

I'm assuming you are talking about the driver that is available on NI's site? Then the author is someone at NI. At the download page, there is a 'Comments' link. The best forum for discussing drivers is the Instrument Control one. I'm not familiar with the instrument but if you wanted to try a little troubleshooting on your own, you might want to see what the programming manual has to say about the CGET command and what else may need to done prior to getting any valid data. The command being issued by the driver is CGET? channel#,mode and assuming that the channel number and mode are correct, the VI is returning something so it just may be a matter of doing some other inititialization to get valid data. A good way to debug instrument communication is with MAX. There you can experiment with the different commands and queries.
Just to add a little more, Stanford Research may not provide any support for the driver but they should support the instrument and remote programming. If you say you issue the command CGET? 0,0 and get garbage data, they should be able to tell you why. You don't even need to mention LabVIEW. The commands are the same with whatever programming language you use.

  • Can I download to a drive besides C:\?

I'm a Windows 7 user.  I have the Photographer's subset of CC; Photoshop and Lightroom.  Each consume a huge chunk of my boot drive.  Is it possible to download to another drive and install from there?  I want to set it up on a new PC and save some space on my boot drive.  I didn't see this addressed in a FAQ.
    Thanks - Dave

    Hi Dave,
Please refer to the help document where this behavior of Lightroom is discussed:
