Download HR Master Data - PU12?

Hi,
We are designing an outbound interface from SAP HR, to publish master data, but only some infotypes.
Regarding implementation, someone suggested Interface Toolbox (tr. PU12), however, when I did a brief analysis in the system it seemed to be quite complex, or at least not so straight forward.
Do you guys know where can I find a clear description about the steps and effort needed? Or other solutions to retrieve the data.

Hi All,
I have created request download in R3AR2 transaction to download master data for a particular Business Partner from ECC to CRM.
But after I execute the request in R3AR4 transaction and check its status in R3AR3 transaction, it always states as "Wait".
Please help me as to how to resolve this issue.

If you are looking for entries in table MARA (material master table) or MARC then you probably don't need any report rather use se12 and there is option for exporting the content of the table in a CSV file..
Please let me know if my understanding is right.

To carry out the product replication from ECC to CRM,you need to carry out the foll steps.
First download the customizing objects using R3AS
DNL_CUST_PROD0 u2013 Material number conversions
DNL_CUST_PROD1 u2013 Product : Categories
DNL_CUST_PROD3 u2013 Material : R/3 sales status
DNL_CUST_SPROD u2013 Sales product item
DNL_PLANT - Plant
To download products foll the steps below
1.Defining Product ID Settings -COMCPRFORMAT
Cross-Application Components  SAP Products  Basic Settings  Define Output Format and Storage Form of Product Ids
This activity describes how to synchronize the product Ids in the CRM system and the R/3 system.
The material master length is R/3 is defined in transaction code OMSL and is set to 18. (also check note no. 545824)
2.Make sure that CRM item categories and R/3 item categories are the same.
In CRM, item categories and item category groups are seen via
Customer Relationship Management  Transactions  Basic Settings
3.Selecting specific objects for replication : R3AC1
Use adapter object MATERIAL
Use filter settings tab and specify the material or a range of products you want to download .Use atble name MARA,field MATNR use an approriate operator and mention theproduct you want to downlaod.
4.Replicate Materials : R3AS
mention the adaptor object Material and execute

Does somebody know a method to download all master Data members in Excel

i'm searching a method/function which is able to Download all dimension members with a few properties in an excel worksheet? Or should I create an evdre with all base members?

Hello,
You can use the auto filter option within the Admin console, and place a check next to the properties which you wish to select. Then you can select those member and copy it to another sheet.
The EvDRE option works just as well.

I´m using a job for this.
My problem is that i need the option create idocs(checkbox) is not selected by default and i need that the job always create the idoc.
A user exit ? or any other idea?

Why don't you save your selections as a variant & put this variant in the Step where you enter the ABAP program name when you create a job in SM36 ?

HR Master data download error

Dear all,
I am trying to download HR Master data using FM gui_download.
In case of downaloading all staff data, I am getting incorrect no
of records in xls file though no of records internal table is accurate.
Also some of the records values are corrupt or incorrupt values.
As analysed ,   when any value in a record ends with '#' as mentioned below, It is already considered as TAB separtion,thus
ends with incorrect values in certain records
CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'
    EXPORTING
      FILENAME              = fname
      filetype              = 'ASC'
      WRITE_FIELD_SEPARATOR = 'X'
    TABLES
      DATA_TAB              = table.
When I try with ' '( space ) as the separator in this FM , number of records are correct ,but not spread across in respective columns. I need to download in xls file with tab separation....

Hi Rob,
I   have replaced those tab values with place before moving to function module.
still, I am getting the number of records to be less than what is in internal table in xls download.
There are records with genuine errors, which can be corrected.Still it is supposed to give atlease number of records to be accurate one.
Has anyone come across such issue while downloading master records

To download Vendor Master Data:
Go to T-Code: SE16 and provide LFA1 for General Data and LFB1 for Company Code Data..
and Press Enter, then provide the Vendor Range and Press Execute Button.
Select Menu -- Edit --- Download then select Spread sheet provide the path to save the download file and provide file name and press OK...
Go to the provided path, which may find your Vendor Master Data in Excel format...

Problem with Updating of Routing Master data

Hi,
    My requirement is I have to download Routing Master data into excel sheet. Once downloading is over, user can change some fields data in excel sheet. Again ull upload the changed excel sheet data to SAP. Finally these changes will effect to the Routing Master data.
I am downloaded routing master data using FM CARO_ROUTING_READ.
I changed some fields in excel sheet. I tried so many FMs for updating the routing master data, but system not allow to me to change the Master data.
I tried with CP_BD_DIRECT_INPUT_PLAN,
             CP_BD_DIRECT_INPUT_PLAN_EXT,
             CP_BT_PLPO_UPDATE, for updating Routing Master.
And Standard program RCPTRA02 also.
Please send me one function module which can update the Routing Master data. But that FM have the same structure of CARO_ROUTING_READ. Otherwise type conflicts will come.
System throws error YOU CANNOT EDIT TASK LIST OBJECTS WITH ACTIVITY TYPE&.

Hi,
I have found in OSS the following programs to download and upload routings:
- Note 107242: You can create the sequential input file with report RCPDIRO1
- Note 106965: Direct input routings: reading datasets
Maybe this can help you to upload your routings in another way. Unfortunately I haven't figured out yet how the program exactly works. So if somebody can give me some info about that one, it would be great.

wie ich oben schon geschrieben habe, habe ich ein paar Fragen zum SAP BC. Ich habe ein Hochschul-Projekt und muss hierfür Materialstammdaten aus SAP herunterladen und mit einem Java Programm ausgeben lassen.
Kann mir vielleicht jemand weiterhelfen, wie die Schritte hierfür aussehen?! Wie verbinde ich den BC mit meinem SAP System? und wie bekomme ich anschließen die Daten mit einem Java Programm ausgelesen?
Ich habe bereits den BC installiert und konnte mich meines Wissens auch richtig anmelden;-)
Ich hoffe, dass mir jemand weiterhelfen kann und bedanke mich schon im Voraus für eventuelle Antworten!!!

I work with SAP BC some time ago... I remember that you configure the connection in SM59 / SICF and the server open a port to "listen" (connect external).
So, your external program can execute functions inside SAP and exchange data.

To connect to FTP Server, you will need to provide username and password in your program. Following steps will solve your problem.
1. Call Function HTTP_SCRAMBLE : Export password for FTP server, length of the password, key and Import Destination(v_pass1).
2. Call Function FTP_CONNECT : Export username, v_pass1 to the password parameter, Host and Destination and Import a Handle.
3. Call Function FTP_COMMAND : Here pass FTP commands and handle along with the table which contains your data.

Go to path : Accounting -->Financial Accounting -->General Ledger -->Master Records -->G/L Accounts -->Collective Processing -->OB_GLACC11 - Chart of Accounts Data / OB_GLACC12 - Company Code Data / OB_GLACC13 - Descriptions click on OB_GLACC11 or OB_GLACC12
And enter give company code and Execute (F8) click on Select all records click on Print button and click on List > Save / send>File an select Spreadsheet and enter and save the excel sheet and upload through LSMW
