Download Indesign cc for OSX 10.6.8

I'm trying to download a copy of InDesign on my home computer so I can bring work home. My home mac can only run up to OSX 10.6.8. How can I get the older 10.6.8 compatible version of InDesign CC?

My home computer is a dual core Mac Pro 2007.
I have a MacPro 1,1 running Lion 10.7.5. Check your Model Identifier in System Info. I think Steve has his cats mixed up, the upgrade is from Snow Leopard 10.6 to Lion 10.7

If you go to the App Store it should offer you the latest iMovie version that is compatible with your operating system.   For Mavericks (10.9.5) this is 10.0.5.
If you have iMovie 9 or an earlier version of 10 you should be able to download it free.  Otherwise you will have to pay.

  • Questions about Downloading InDesign CS6 for WIN

I am trying to help an employee get Adobe InDesign CS 6 installed on his Windows Computer.
We are wondering what the difference between these three options are when you are on the Download Program Page:
Adobe InDesign CS6 Installer for Windows (English & Japanese)
Adobe InDesign CS6 Installer Package for Windows (English & Japanese)
or Adobe InDesign and InCopy CS6 Content Installer for Windows (Multi-Language)?
Are ALL of these programs necessary for him to download? He is worried about the size of some of these files, and if he is duplicating himself by downloading all three download options.
Also,  does he need to download all three of the following files, too?  Can you tell me what each of these do?

    Hi Momadog007,
Adobe InDesign CS6 Installer for Windows (English & Japanese)
Adobe installer contains the extractor (.exe) that is used to extract .7z (compress) files. Size is about 1 Mb.
Adobe InDesign CS6 Installer Package for Windows (English & Japanese
The installer package contains the main setup file. The file is downloaded in .7z format (7z is an archive file, like .ZIP or .RAR; with similar and in many cases better compression) which we may decompressed using the previous downloaded CS6 installer or any other extraction tool such as winzip/winrar.
Adobe InDesign and InCopy CS6 Content Installer for Windows (Multi-Language)
The content installer contains some additional fonts that you may copy in the font folder in Windows
You may simply download the Installer package and extract it with winzip/winrar or with the extractor available as a part of first download.

I've been asked to download it for work to eneable me to access my work email address.
Whoever told you that has no idea what he's talking about. If the idea is that you're going to connect to a remote VNC server, you don't need Remote Desktop for that.

  • Standalone download of iCal for OSX 10.5.8?

My copy of iCal just went wacky the other day and started re-sending every appt. email alarm I've ever created back to 2005!!! and that's a lot of 'em cause I totally depend on iCal for all my business...
I was fending off masses of emails & my system was just groaning, so I ditched iCal into the trash to stop it.
Then when I took it out & tried to open it--it said 'can't open because it's not supported on this architecture'!!!!--also the icon now had a circle with a line thru it--i.e. no-go.
Now I need a new clean version--but can't seem to find one available for download?
    HELP!!

    1. Insert the Leopard Installation disk into the computer.
    2. The disk will appear on the desktop.
    3. Double click on the "Optional Installs" folder.
    4. Double click on the "Optional Installs.mpkg."
    5. Click on (Continue) in Introduction.
    6. Click on (Continue) in Software License Agreement.
    7. Click on (Agree) to agree to the terms of the software license agreement.
    8. Click on the disclosure arrow ▶ next to Applications.
    9. Select (✓) iCal.
    10. Click (Continue).
    11. After iCal has been reinstalled, download and install the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update to bring iCal up to the most recent version.

  • Can't download windows media for osx

it keeps telling me i need a bluetooth module

it keeps telling me i need a bluetooth module
If you are downloading Windows Media Player you will also need to download Stuffit Expander as Microsoft have used Stuffit to compress the installation file and Tiger now no longer comes with Stuffit.
Once you have expanded the .sit file you can then run the Windows Media Player installer.

  • How can I download Photoshop for OSX using Windows?

    Dear all:
Hi. I need to download Photoshop trial for OSX (in order to test the product on an iMac) but I'm using Windows so it seems the Download Manager automatically tries to download the Windows version od Photoshop instead of the OSX version. How can I change that?.
    Best Regards

CarlosNegroni you can download a Mac version by initiating a direct download.  Please see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 for more information on how to accomplish this.

  • Where can I find xCode 4 for OSX 10.6?

A few months ago I downloaded XCode 4 for OSX 10.6.
Now I have a different laptop also with OSX 10.6 and I want to install XCode 4 onto it - but not matter where I go the only choices I am given is XCode 4.2 which is only for 10.7 or XCode 3.
Where can I get the earlier version of XCode 4 I have previously downloaded from?

Have you looked on the Purchased pane of the Mac App Store? I have both versions in my purchase history and the version for Snow Leopard is available to download.

  • There was a problem updating InDesign CC For more information see the specific error below.  Update Failed Download error.  Press Retry to try again or contact customer support.(49)

Posted the entire text from the error window, when trying to update, using the normal NON-TECHIE way to update any and all Adobe CC products, via the Creative Cloud updater installed when Adobe Creative Cloud subscription was purchased when first offered.
    The following occurs, ad nauseam:
There was a problem updating InDesign CC
For more information see the specific error below.
    Update Failed
Download error.  Press Retry to try again or contact customer support.(49)
Here's the crux of my frustration:
    (1) Customer Service is NOT contact-able, to receive LIVE help.
    (2) There is NO way for me to mitigate this "Download error", being a student learning InDesign, and NOT in any way capable of tweaking folders/files here and there.
    Therefore, the real question:
Given that a significant number of subscribers are having the above referenced issue with attempting to download the current update for InDesign, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO, in order to get our contractually paid-for updates to our legally and contractually paid-for Adobe software, specifically in my case, InDesgin's current update?
Please, NO TECHNICAL mumbo-jumbo which most likely will cause the overwhelming majority of users, like me, to seriously corrupt their computer files, but rather an honest, straightforward "what to do" from real CS/Engineers working for Adobe, as to how to FIX this issue, period.

    UPDATE:
Here is a way in which I think I was able to "update" my InDesign CC application:
    (1) Sign-In to your Adobe Account
    https://www.adobe.com/
    (2) Click on the MENU icon
    (3) Click on the product InDesign icon
Your browser should display the page for Adobe InDesign CC
    https://www.adobe.com/products/indesign.html?promoid=KLXLU
    (4) Click on the Download icon,
Your browser should now display the page to download InDesign,
    https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/indesign
    (5) a Pop-Up window should open, and display:
      Launch Application
This link needs to be opened with an application.
with the first option to select being the CreativeCloud(URIHandler)
    (5) Select this application and click OK.
What happened when I followed steps (1) thorugh (5) is that:
    (a) InDesign CC(2014) was installed,
    (b) InDesign CC, updated, and then
    (c) InDesign CC(2014), also updated.
Why this all worked, is a mystery to me.
Looks like a separate, "new" version of InDesign, InDesign CC(2014), was installed, the existing "old" InDesign was updated, and then the newly installed Indesign CC(2014) was further updated.
A BIT MORE, when I launched my InDesign CC app, and checked to see if there were Updates Available, there in fact was an Adobe InDesign CC 64 bit (9.2.2) update.
I clicked on UPDATE and my "old" InDesign CC app was "successfully updated."
FURTHER INFO:  I may have neglected to list some important info ... OS:  Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, 64-bit
Confused, I am able to launch BOTH of these apps, and hopefully I may use one of these versions of the InDesign CC app, to do some InDesign work.
    Will keep y'all posted!

Jackdan error 49 indicates the installer was unable to access a critical file or directory.  You can find additional details at Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html.

  • I am trying to install a trail for InDesign CC to finish a project soon. I downloaded Creative Cloud, the app is in my folder, but it won't open and when I try to download InDesign an error pops up saying Adobe is trying to install malware.

I just installed Creative Cloud in order to download a trial for InDesign. I have the app icon for CC, but it won't open. When it was in my toolbar (on a mac) it just sat there loading for about 15 minutes. I tried restarting it but it won't open at all now. I also tried downloading an InDesign trail and it won't open at all. When I click for it to download an error message pops up saying Adobe is trying to instal malware and asks me if I want to continue. When I say yes, it doesn't do anything. I have a brochure that needs to go to the client by 4pm today! EEK!

Sydneybling it does sound like your security software is interfering with the process of installing and utilizing your Adobe Creative applications.  I would recommend that you try temporarily disabling your security software and utilizing the directions listed at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html to install InDesign CC.

  • How do I download 32bit Drivers for Windows 7 on Bootcamp for OSX 10.8.1?

    Here is the deal,
I am a computer technician for a library and I am installing Windows 7 on four brand new Apple MiniMacs with OSX 10.8.1 on them (don't ask). The Mac came with no install Disks and the Bootcamp Assistant only downloads 64bit drivers for windows. I am installing Windows 7 32bit on them and I need the drivers. How can I get them? Can somebody assist me please?

Buy a Windows machine or an older Mac if you wish to use 32bit Windows. (what are you going to do when MS quit supporting 32bit systems?)

I second LibreOffice as it's the most recent fork, however NeoOffice and OpenOffice will also work.
Just say No money to Redmond!
Also the old Ready Set Go! will be having a Lion version out soon.
It's a low cost page layout program (like Indesign but without the high price) and can make booklets etc better, import the excel grpahics from LibreOffice.
