Download Issues

I want to sync my iPad Mini with Outlook 2007. I installed iTunes and got the error message below:
iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CDs you will need to reinstall i Tunes.
So I tried to fix the problem and followed the instructions on the article below.
iTunes for Windows: "Registry settings" warning when opening iTunes at iTunes for Windows: "Registry settings" warning when opening iTunes  at support.apple.com/kb/ts3299
That did not work and now my CD Drive is missing so I followed the instructions on the article below.
iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install at iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install at support.apple.com/kb/TS2308
So now I have a missing CD Drive and iTunes till does not work. Can someone please help bring back my CD Drive and get iTunes to work?

After purchasing Quicktime Pro 7, I cannot download it.
There is no download of QT 7 Pro—just the download of the QT 7 Player if not already installed.
The page will not accept my registration code.
If you have the QT 7 Player installed and and are using its registration window:
Are you entering or pasting the name field correctly—to include any prefix and/or suffix such as Mr., Dr., Prof., Sr., Jr., etc as per your store account?
Are you entering or pasting the registration key correctly?
Was the purchased key for the correct platform since keys are different for Macs and Windows machines?
Are you pressing the Tab key or the Return key to register your entry information?
Did you quite and restart the application or the computer?
Not sure what "will not accept" means here—is giving you an error message, is asking you if you want to buy QT Pro, is not providing visual icon confirmation in the info window, pro options not available, etc. For instance, even if the key was accepted, most "Pro" options are "contextual" in nature and require an active player window to be open for availability while Items 4 and 5 only seem to be an issue with sone users but not others.

  • Download issue in a portlet page

    Hi,
We have the following download issue in the portlet: Download works in an expected way in a standalone application, but fails when trying to do the same from a portlet.
    1. We have a blob column in a table (Oracle 10g db), and we have uploaded files into the blob column through the JSF page using Trinidad my faces application.(using JSF + BC4J) in Jdeveloper 11g
    2. We have an another JSF page which would list files uploaded, with the file names being hyperlinked, so that the user can click on the file name to download the file.
    3. When we try to download the file, it works fine in a standalone OC4J, but fails with the error in a portlet :
    4. We have portletized the download page and deployed the entire application as WSRP provider enabled portlet application onto embedded Webcenter OC4J.
    5. When we tried to download the file, by clicking on the file name link in the download page (which is part of the portlet), we ge the error as given below:
Is it an issue with the portletization ? Can you please provide pointers to resolve the issue ? Is it the same limitation as any portal application wherein for download, we need to go outside the portal, that means, we have to explicitly call servlet to flush the file content onto the outputstream ? If this is the workaround, then please let us know how this can be accomplished in the above scenario.
    Thanks and Best Regards, nattu

  • HD Movie / TV episode download issue / problem / difficulty

The issue is that the download is extremely slow.
I purchased both the HD and the SD versions of Lost - "the Final Journey" - (2.56 GB and 1.11 GB respectively), as they are free.
The download was proceeding in parallel.
While the SD episode was downloaded in about 3 hours (370 MB per hour), the HD version was not moving at all (or almost). It did less than 10 MB in 3 hours (3.2 MB per hour).
I do not understand why the HD version which is 2.5 times larger, downloads at a pace of 100 time slower than standard definition version.
This experiment clearly shows that my connection is fine, and there is something different in the server that holds the HD version, or the way it is handled that makes the download so slow.
(the fact that they ran in parallel does not matter, because when the SD episode finished, the HD episode downloaded alone at the same slow pace).
I had a similar issue on a HD movie rental, but was not able to resolve it then,
and gave up. At the time, I did not have the SD version download in parallel.
    Thanks,
    Gideon.

I guess Apple does not care enough to answer their customers. Do not purchase any more videos from the Apple Store until these forums no longer contain these download issues, especially with no replies. Funny, I don't have these problems with my PC companies!, You know, Real computer companies!

Also no data available in TSTL, TSKD etc..tables.
Pleas let me throw your thoughts here.
    Cheers,

    Hello Bobby,
Corrections present in note:1121999 was due to program error.
Did tax customizing error still present?Did you run txn:CRM_TAXCUST_VALIDATE.
Check the error tab of the Bdoc and see can you get any hint? Also, does the BDoc contains Data or its blank?
Its very difficult to know the cause unless having look into the system and debugging the issue,

  • Filereference download issue on some browsers

Hi, Im having a filereference download issue which is turning
out to be rather elusive. I have it working great on my comp in ie,
however on my comp with firefox, or with any browser on my father's
computer we get the file browser popup and when we hit "save"
everything SEEMS to go OK but the file doesnt get downloaded. Weve
checked and re-installed all the browsers / flash plugins, and
nothing has changed. No error handelers get tripped, and Ive
checked the scope issue. The following is the code Im using,
published to flash 8 AS 2.
    import flash.net.FileReference;
    _root.vars.fileRef = new FileReference();
    _root.functions.getit = function(){
    _root.vars.fileRef.download("
    http://www.myURL.com/myList.csv",
    "myList.csv")
    Thanks for your help.

an absolute path would be something like:
    www.yourdomain.com/subdirectory/yourfile.ext
(looking at the op's original message, i see he used an
http:// prefix which isn't going to work in any
    case.)
a relative path from yourdomain's main directory would be:
    subdirectory/yourfile.ext

I remembered we have weird permission issues at work. Somewhere between my Home Windows 8 machine(horrible permissions issues with network), my home mac, email and my work computer, some permission got out of whack. The workaround for this was copying the file to my desktop, back to the exact same spot on the network. This resolved all issues.

    (1) *Only applications* can show the "_Open in 32-bit mode_" option.
If you are using "Get Info" on some other filetype, not seeing 32-bit is expected. However, you should still see the Get Info window.

    I do not understand this.
    (5) If this paragraph is still related to your +Get Info+ problem, see the suggestions above.
    (6) If this paragraph relates to "download issues", please provide some explanation of the problem.
    (7) If this paragraph is still about help with More iChat Effects problems, my best suggestion is you carefully follow the developer's uninstall instructions to remove this third-party add-on if it will not work with the Mac OS.
If you want keep trying to use MiE with SL, take a look at this recent thread about the same 32-bit and color-inverted problems you mention for other suggestions:

  • Adobe creative cloud cc downloading issues

    Hi,
I signed up for and am paying for the Adobe Creative Cloud but for some insane reason it has never really worked on my Mac home computer as it's never really given me the option to download the CC versions only the CC (2014) or the trials and has just been an utter pain so I uninstalled all creative cloud stuff and just stuck with my CS6 programs with no problems even while still paying for the Creative Cloud but the other day I had a go at installing the CC software via Creative Cloud on my Mum's laptop and there were no problems whatsoever and I can't understand whats going on, I have been had 2 separate online chats with Adobe personal that both lasted over an hour or 2 and it has never been resolved. My friend has all the exact software (CS6 and now Adobe Creative Cloud) and she has never had a problem and the same Mac and iMac laptop so I don't get what's going on and am getting very frustrated for paying for a service I can't even use!!
    Hope someone can help,
    Ali

We can't know. You have not provided any exact system info or other technical details such as Internet connection, drive configuration, language settings and whatnot. That and of course nobody can tell you anything about your specific issues without some log files or similar info.

  • BO XI 3.1 sp2 - Crystal PrintControl.cab download issue

I installed SP2 in our development environment this week and we've found an issue in our testing.
When trying to print a Crystal Report, the system wants to download a new version of the Crystal ActiveX control.  The user then gets an error that "Windows has blocked this software because it cannot verify the publisher".  We did not have this problem prior to installing SP2.  This error appears when the ActiveX print control is selected in preferences.  The PDF control works fine, but our users prefer the ActiveX control because it prints the report directly and they don't have to download a file and then print it.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a work-around available?
    Thanks!
    -Dell

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?  Our security folks won't let us open IE up to load unsigned ActiveX controls.
    Thanks!

  • My experience of the Lion OS download & issues

Hi..just thought I'd list some issues/reflections on the latest Lion OS..
Downloaded it last nite via the App store without hassle EASY! have it loaded on my Desktop & Apple Notebook...
Had some issues in 3 upgrades ie: Iwork, iTunes..fixed that via separate downloads except Itunes wouldn't update kept getting error message..
Logged into another user account and updated it there and it worked fine..
I use an older (2009) Apogee Duet interface which according to the company website isnt compatible at the moment with Lion..the latest Duet model of Apogee will..
The update fix for the older Duet will be in August according to their website.
When I try to change volume via my Duet interface it freezes / mutes the volume control..annoying..
I use Adobe Photoshop CS5.5 and had to download a Java update for it to work after the Lion install, Pshop ran smoothly at this point havent delved into other features as yet....
I guess its getting used to the changes and tweeks...
Apart from that most stuff looks ok..the gee wiz factor isnt really here in Lion..not excited nor disappointed..just indifferent...

    Hi,
Yeh mine downloaded fine in about 4 mins from the app store yesterday at 2:30pm (UK time), no delay whatsoever (I think its because the US guys hadnt started hammering the downloads at that point)
Install went ahead and promptly crashed on the normal boot screen (the apple logo and spinning icon) - well I say crashed, the icon kept spinning but nothing happened for an hour and a half. I then forced the power off and back on and then it carried on with the install, completed in about 6 or 7 mins on my mba13.
All my apple software upgrades went through ok no probs, I've had the same with CS5.5 (PS and AE) so glad to see its not just me!
The MBA's fan went mental on me for a while but after resetting the SMC and the NVRAM and then letting Lion finish building indexes and databases (hiutil and mdworker threads at 90-100%) its all good so far
    Cheers, Simmo

  • Multiple file download issues

    Hi All,
I have designed an APEX application to download multiple files. I have check box in each row of the file name and a download button.
When the users checks set of checkboxes and click on the "Download" Button, i am expecting the marked files to be downloaded. I am encountering the below issues in this implementation(i.e single file download is fine):
    1. When ticks all the check boxes and click download, the files are never downloading. The target URL goes something like this :
    www.example.com/abc/bcd/wwv_flow.accept
and there is a cross icon in the new page. No download happening.
    2. When ticks few files and leave rest of the files un-checked, there are either junk charactes in target page (or) only the last checked box file alone downloading.
Please refer the code below and advice. Thanks very much in advance.

  • Download issue when Windows 7 Pro joins a Windows Server 2008 Active Directory

    Hi,
I purchased 2 new Dell OptiPlex 3010 desktop computers that came with Windows 7 Professional operating system with SP1.
There were no Microsoft updates installed yet.  After I added one of these Dell computers to the Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, I was not able to download several items.
    Below are several examples:
    1) I downloaded the Norton anti-virus installation file.  This file is not the full installation of Norton; it is more of a file where you execute it and it will download the full installation from the Internet like from their Norton web
site.  So when I executed this installation file, it does not download the full installation files.
It just hung at the screen saying “Downloading” and it will finally stop with an error (don’t remember the error message).
Note: If I have the full Norton installation file then I am able to install it on this computer with no problems.
    2) I downloaded the Adobe Reader installation file.  This file is not the full installation of Adobe Reader; it is more of a file where you execute it and it will download the full installation from the Internet like from their Adobe web
site.  So when I executed this installation file, it hung at the downloading part and then it will error out with a “Actionlist Not Found” message.
Note: If I have the full Adobe Reader installation file then I am able to install it on this computer with no problems.
    3) I installed Microsoft Office 2010 Standard version on this computer.
I configured Microsoft Outlook to retrieve emails from my email provider (pop and smtp settings).
After configuring Microsoft Outlook, I was able to send emails through Microsoft Outlook successfully (and very quickly), but he was unable to retrieve my emails. The progress bar for the Receiving in the "Outlook Send/Receive Progress" box
shows no progress. The Progress bar is not moving. There is a message at the bottom of Microsoft Outlook stating "Receiving message 1 of 6 (x.xx KB of x.xx MB)" and it is very slow. My new emails were not being retrieved at all.
I tried various pop and smtp servers that was available for my email provider, but all had the same effect.
    4) I can access certain web sites (e.g.
www.yahoo.com, www.cnn.com) while I cannot access other web sites like
www.usatoday.com, my web hosting email site.
Note: I had a Dell computer with Windows XP Professional operating system and this computer does not have any of the above issues.
The above are only a few examples that I have experienced.
If I removed this Dell OptiPlex 3010 computer from the Windows Server 2008 Active Directory then I still experience the same issue.
So as another test, I setup the other new Dell OptiPlex 3010 with the same Windows 7 Professional OS with SP1.
This time, I did not join the Windows Server 2008 Active Directory and I was able to successfully download the full Norton installation files, download the full Adobe Reader installation files, download my emails from Microsoft Outlook 2010, etc.
But once I joined this computer to the Windows Server 2008 Active Directory then I am not able to download these files and emails at all.
It seems like there might be some group policy or a security setting that is preventing these downloads so I disabled the group policy on the Windows Server 2008 AD and Windows 7 Profession OS, but it didn’t resolve the issue.
I disabled all of the firewall programs on this Windows 7 Professional OS, but it still did not resolve the issue.
Since the Windows Server 2008 AD did not have DHCP installed, I installed DHCP and setup a scope.
Then configured the Windows 7 Professional OS to obtain an IP address, but it didn’t resolve the issue.
If I move this Windows 7 Professional computer to another network where it did not have any Active Directory; it just had a wireless router serving DHCP then everything works on the Windows 7 Pro computer.
Any ideas what is the root cause when a Windows 7 Professional computer join a Windows Server 2008 AD?
    Thanks,
    wl_tech

    Hi,
Could you please tell some information for the AD environment and how it connect to the internet?
Regarding 3rd party installlers didn't work as expected, please also seek help in their offical website.
For outlook not receiving emails, could you please take a look in
Event Viewer and see if there are any special errors logged there?
And when trying to access the website like
www.usatoday.com, any special errors IE showed out?
    Best regards
