Download itunes setup freezes computer
Hello, I am trying to download Itunes onto my PC and every time I try to go into my downloads folder to open the setup, the entire folder freezes. I've tried to delete the setup file but it won't let me, it continues to freeze every time I click on it. Any ideas on how to fix this? I appreciate it.
Are you installing the version of iTunes from your iPod CD or from the version you downloaded? If it's downloaded, then it COULD be corrupt . . .

IPod Touch 4th Generation, can you use without downloading iTunes to your computer
My son got an iPod Touch for Christmas. When charged and turned on, it only shows a picture of a cord and the iTunes logo. We've been trying to download iTunes to my computer (asked question over at iTunes forum as keep receiving 'iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid 32bit application' error and will not download, dial up, Toast, IE9) and can not get it done. I have been told there is no disc that can be sent to me to start iTunes on my computer. We've taken the iPod to a local WiFi spot but the screen will not change. (And could not download at the local WiFi spot iTunes to my computer either.)
Is there anyway to start this iPod Touch without having iTunes downloaded to your computer? This was not mentioned anywhere when I bought the iPod for Christmas and we are very upset that he has been unable to even use his present. No one in my community knows how to fix this, no one has WiFi and the local WiFi spot, I have already sat there for 6 hours trying to get this done and keep getting this error.
We are very disgusted with the whole business and have gone out and bought him something of his choosing and are about ready to nix the whole business with iPods, iPads and anything 'i' related between myself, my family, and my whole community because we feel its wrong to have something that can't be used unless you have faster than dial up service. What's the point of getting anything from Apple if you can't use it do to the area you live in not having reception or satelite service? It still boggles my mind that they can't send me a disc to correct this.
Can someone give me some suggestions on how to get his iPod working since we can't get iTunes downloaded to anyone's computer out where I live?If you're getting the "iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid 32bit application" error, it likely means that you may have tried to download the 64bit iTunes Setup exe (application). You mentioned you couldn't download because you have dialup, However, even with dialup you should be able to download iTunes. You can go to the following apple site and scroll down and click on the Windows 32 bit version of iTunes. On dialup it will take a while to download, but it can be done. See if this helps.

I get the following error message when trying to download ITunes on my computer running Windows XP - Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple Application Support\CFNetwork.dll
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Hello, can anyone help me out there? Im having trouble downloading itunes on my computer.
Ikeep getting a error message reading:
#1 applesyncnotifer.exe- entry point not found.
#2 the procedure entry point sqlite3-wal-checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library. sqlite3.d11.
#3 service 'apple mobile device' (apple mobile device)
failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Now paste it in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

My iPod just randomly deleted all my music, but I no longer have the computer where I synced it to. Can I still get my purchased tracks if I download iTunes on another computer?
If for some reason you failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you can redownlaod some itunes content in some countries:

How do I download itunes on one computer (64-bit) for a different computer (32-bit)? The download page automatically detects my computer as 64-bit, but I want to download the installer for a different computer that is 32-bit.
I ended up changing the user agent reported by my web browser to fool the website into thinking I was using a different web browser. On Google Chrome, press Ctrl-Shift-I to open the Developer Tools, then click the gear in the lower-right corner of the window. Check "Override User Agent" then select "Internet Explorer 7" from the drop-down.
Once upon a time, you could download the 32-bit version of iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/affiliates/download/, but the download link hasn't been updated recently and points to an old version of iTunes.
If, like me, you think Apple should provide a link to the 32-bit version from the main download page, I would recommend giving Apple your feedback. -

I cant download itunes on my computer because it says " service 'apple mobile device' failed to start. verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. what does this mean? how do you verify this?
I am having this same problem. I took Kappy advice on restarting the Apple Mobile Device Service, however that did not work. I got this message in a pop up window that came up immediately.
Windows could not start the Apple Mobil Device Service on local computer.
Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I have already uninstalled itunes, all the related programs and I cannot reinstall, this Apple Mobil Device message stops the install.
Can anyone please help? -
