Download just the USB-6008 driver (DAQmx) ?

Hi
Is there a way to download only the driver for my USB-6008 application
? Which means that I don't have to downlaod the installer with MAX and
support for different programming enviroments ?
Regards
Daniel

Hello Daniel,
When you install NI-DAQ, you are given the option to include support for multiple software programming environments, and MAX as well.  You do need to install MAX and support for the API that you will be using, like LabVIEW 7.1 for example, but you can choose not to install support for everything else, like LabVIEW 7.0, CVI/LabWindows, .NET, etc.

Ok, I hope I'm not steering you in the wrong direction, but I've just found this on the support site for the software.

  • Does the voltage to temperature conversation require in usb 6008 using daqmx 8.5??

Another question need u all guy help.I currently using K-type thermocoupler for my project using usb 6008.Does the voltage to temperature conversation require in usb 6008 using daqmx 8.5? what is DAQ TEDS function use ? is it help us to convert?

You will need to factor the voltage per degrees C to get to reading in degrees, this is 10mv per degree V for the device mentioned in the post you previously made

The analog outputs of the USB-6008 are only rated at 5 Milliamps per
channel. One suggestion for getting it to work is to use an emitter
follower to get more current to drive your motor.

  • Can I download onto a usb flash drive instead of a IPod

Can I download onto a usb flash drive instead of a ipod?

Yes, but it does not work the same way.  Insert the USB flash drive into the computer and open it so it looks like a folder.  In iTunes, highlight the songs you want, and drag them over to the folder.
If you usually run iTunes in full screen mode, make it smaller so you can do the drag.

  • Measure like the testpanel of the USB-6008

    Hello,
I want to measure like the testpanel of the USB-6008. What is the right
example of the nidaq installation or what are the necessary c-functions?
The most c-examples quits with an error. So I don`t no what is the right. I searched in the dictionary  "Analog In".
    Thx  Pellaeon

    Hello,
you can find all examples for DAQ in C:\Programme\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\DAQmx ANSI C\Analog In\Measure Voltage.
Do not forget adding the include file and the library file to your project. That is described under NI-DAQmx C Reference Help. You can find this under Start->Programs->National Instruments->NI-DAQ-> NI-DAQmx C Reference Help and there under Getting Started--> ANSI C
    USB-6008 is supported in NI-DAQmx 7.5 or NI-DAQmx Base. http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/4D915A820A76823C862570390075EBF5?OpenDocument

  • I have a time machine backup file on a USB hard drive.  I bought a time capsule / airport extreme, flat 3TB.  I wish to transfer the backup file from the usb hard drive to the time capsule hard drive.  10.6.8

I have a time machine backup file on a USB hard drive.  I bought a time capsule / airport extreme, flat 3TB.  I wish to transfer the backup file from the usb hard drive to the time capsule hard drive.  10.6.8

Unfortunately, Time Machine backups that are stored on a drive that has been connected directly to a Mac are completely different than Time Machine backups that are stored on a Time Capsule.
Frankly, it is not worth the effort and trouble to try to transfer the old backups to the new Time Capsule.....my opinion....having done this in the past.
It is possible though, but I would not recommend it due to the complexity and downsides involved with this. To give you an idea of how to do this, check out this support article.
    http://pondini.org/TM/18.html
Even if you transfer the "old" backups over to the Time Capsule successfully, Time Machine will not simply "add on" to the old backups.
Time Machine will make a new complete backup of your Mac and then add incremental backups from that point.
My advice.....start a new backup on the Time Capsule and move forward. Keep the USB hard drive around for a month, maybe 2 or 3 in case you need to go back to an old backup for some reason.  At that time, you will not likely need the old backups at all since you will have a current 2-3 month history of new backups.  At that point, you can erase the USB drive and use it for another purpose.

  • Boot Camp with Win 8 Can't See The USB External Drive [MBR with NTFS, Fat32, HFS Partitions]

Hi. When I boot to Boot Camp with the latest Apple Windows Support drivers can't see my USB Flash Drive, DVD and OS X volumes but not my USB external drive that has an MBR partition scheme (using iPartition from GUID) and in there it has different volumes [HFS when I boot to Snow Leopard, Fat32, NTFS]. What can I do with Boot Camp to make it see my USB external drive and why isn't it seeing the USB when it can see the USB flash drive both use USB?
    Thank you in advance.
    God bless.

Buy Paragon NTFS for OS X $20.

    Hi,
    Try resetting your iPod:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430.
If that doesn't work, try restoring it:  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414.
If all else fails, you will have to place your iPod in Recovery Mode:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808.
    Hope this helps!

  • SA30-414 boot from the USB floppy drive

    Hi All!
I'm tryin to get my my satellite A30-414 to boot from the USB floppy drive and enter the dos mode, but all i get is a black screen (without a cursor, of course!!), and then the windows XP logon page directly. Can you tell me whether this model has a boot device menu hotkey?
Also, I may have permanently changed some boot configurations (namely by holding down the F12 at startup and then the F2 key at a later try) with my attempts to get the machine to boot from floppy drive: now even when the floppy drive is not connected i get this awkward black screen and then, after a few seconds, the windows logon page. How can I acceed the setup menu and check?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks to you all for your support!
Now I'll tell how this problem originated. I connected the standard usb fdd with a standard DOS boot disk to which I had added a firmware upgrade for my DVDrom unit. I powered on and held the F12 key down expecting to see the boot device selection menu, instead i got a black screen for a few seconds and then the winXP logon page. At this point i rebooted and held down the F2 key with the same purpose. But the computer went into some kind of hybernation and by pressing the power-on button it shut down.
From that moment on startup I don't see the BIOS POST page anymore: countless seconds of black screen and then the WinXP logon page. The most optimistic explanation to this is that i inadvertently changed the boot order, so it searches for floppy first, and when it doesn't find it then it goes to C:\. Does it sound logical?

  • Input Capacitance of the USB 6008

Does anybody know the input capacitance of the NI USB 6008? Im creating a circuit that mimics a 10x probe whose design requires the value of the "oscilloscope" input capacitance, or in this case, the USB 6008 input capacitance.
    Thanks so much!

With the low input resistance (144 kohms) the capacitance does not matter much. Any realistic value of input capacitance will have a time constant shorter than is meaningful for the device bandwidth.
Also note that the input impedance is terminated in about 1.4 V.  See the circuit in Figure 7 of the User Manual.

  • H61M-P23 (B3) BIOS update is not yet completed, please insert the USB pen drive.

    Hey,
I attempted to update my BIOS, but the power went out in the middle of it. I cleared CMOS, and when I tried to use the EIVB.bin file to boot up a bios, It only says A2 in the corner. Without a flash drive in it says BIOS update is not yet completed, please insert the USB pen drive and reset the system. Any ideas on what to do?

Move USB key to another USB port and retest, use backside one.
If no change have a try with another different USB key,
and copy the EIVB.bin file to the newest USB key and retry.

  • Is the USB-6008 controllable by Mathcad?

Can I use Mathcad calculation power to manipolate analog data converted
    by a USB-6008 interface?
If yes, please indicate examples sources (if any).
    Thanks .

    Hi nonnog,
I don't understand very well what you want to do, but you have 3 possibilities:
if you have Labview you can acquire data from NI device and then you can use MathCad via ActiveX with Labview with the specific libraries downloadable at link: http://venus.ni.com/stage/we/niepd_web_display.DISPLAY_EPD4?p_answer=&p_guid=B799BC00B8835510E034080...
if you haven't Labview, you can acquire and save data from NI-USB device with 2 NI software ("VI Logger Lite" or "NI Data Logger" provided at no charge with driver) and then you can read these files from MathCad
if MathCad provides the possibility to create Macro or to call dll you can directly use driver functions to acquire data from the NI-USB device.
    I hope this helps you.
