  • Tried to download Lightroom 5 after purchased but it failed

    I tried to download Lightroom 5 set up file (.dmg) after purchased but after 5 minute of download, it failed every time (the download stop without any reason) even  if I use the download assistant apps such as speedtao for mac.
    I got the message after try to downlod program again and again like this " Too many download attempts: 13. You were allowed to download only 10 times."  What! I can't even touch the program one bit.
    Please suggest the appropriate way that can help me download the program.
    PS1. I used chrome, speedtao on Mac OSX Mavericks
    PS2. I also try to download the trial product. Maybe it  can be activated after entered the serial no. but it show the error message,too!

    use a different browser or use a direct download.

    and activate with your serial serial number.
    if you have a problem downloading, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies. 
    the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

    After having successfully downloaded and installed Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks and Photoshop, I tried to download Lightroom. The dowload process halted, and I aborted it. When i tried to download and install the program for a second time, the process stopped, and I received the following error message :

    Absolutely - but I had no idea there were two versions. When I got my new laptop I just went to the Adobe site to download and install LR5. It never asked if I had a license; it just directed me to install CC to start a trial which I thought I could license after downloading. Several sessions and many hours of looking through the forums and Google for an answer I never ran across anything that made this distinction. I still haven't found a path from www.adobe.com that would get me to the standalone download page (it's probably there, wasn't obvious to me) and looking at the download page it doesn't make any CC/standalone distinction.
    There are many places I could have gotten a hint - for instance the license could be tagged "stand alone edition", the CC-version could recognize the stand-alone key and either accept it or produce a more meaningful error message, or the download site or the CC app could ask if I had previously purchased a key, etc.
    It was my error to assume this was a deactivation problem, but it looked the same as a previous deactivation problem with Photoshop.
    In any event, thank you for your help.

    Lightroom 5 installation keeps failing.
    Solution mentioned here doesn't work, because my default installation language is English. The installation process stops and shows there's an error but doesn't actually show the error message. The system language on my laptop is Russian.
    I had a trial installed previously and now need to activate it with my Creative Cloud membership but it's been about two weeks since I purchased it and it still doesn't work!

    I’m sorry to hear that! Not sure why it worked for me but not for you. I’d like to check the steps you made just to make sure…
    What OS or you using?
    I removed Lightroom from Creative Cloud. – So there is no error showing.
    I downloaded the: Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_2 from the link.
    Unpacked it to the desktop (any folder will do).
    Then I navigated to the folder and installed Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_2.
    Re opened CC and clicked install. It then install the 5.3 update.
    If you followed all these steps and still have no luck then A, let me know. And B, you may have to wait for Adobe to fix the issue.
    I’ll troll the internet for you too.
    There are still more things we can try, so don't give up!

    A few months ago I've purchased photoshop and lightroom, but i can't get Lightroom 5 downloaded.. Please help!

    My Creative Cloud desktop app is empty (nothing shows when i open it). I have just uninstalled it and tried to install it again, but got the message: Creative Cloud desktop failed to install. (Error code:50).
    If I go on adobe's website, sign in to my account and try to download Lightroom from my desktop apps, I get a new page saying that Lightroom is going to install. But nothing ever happens.. I am downloading again the creative cloud desktop. Hope this time's a charm

    There are two different LR’s, one with a serial-number licensing and one with a CC-signin license.
    You should uninstall the serial-number LR you have installed, then
    Quit the CC Desktop application,
    Restart the CC Desktop application—this will rescan what you have installed and not see LR,
    LR will now be on the CC Desktiop apps list, so install that.

  • Trying my hardest to download lightroom with no luck no matter what i update. Will Lightroom 5 run on Vista?

    I currently have Windows Vista. I know its an old system but bare with me. I am trying to download the trial of lightroom to see if its what im looking for as I dont want to spend the money but be let down. Every time i try it says i am running an operation system thats no longer supported by Adobe. These are my computer specs.Windows vista home premium 2007.

    At the moment yes, I am unable to upgrade for the time being. I managed to download lightroom 4.4 but figured out quickly it doesn't have a lot of the features I need for editing portraits. Do you by any chance know a photoshop equivalent version trial I could download? I am going to buy whichever one works best after trying for a day, but I just don't want to spend the money and be let down really. I need to know which one will work best for what I'm doing. So body reshaping is a huge part of that.

    Does your Cloud subscription properly show on your account page?
    If you have more than one email, are you sure you are using the correct Adobe ID?
