Download Manager Authentication Error

I get this error message (no number).
Is the authentication issue on my computer or on the download server?
How do I fix this?
Thanks.

I am sorry thesoulartist but I don't understand the response provided for #1 and 2.  You can initiate a direct download of our software though by using the directions listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

Is your AM log level set to message? If not, set to message and retest. You should get output in your debug logs.
On the agent side, set your logging to all:5

  • CS4 and the EVIL Akamai Download Manager

Hi, I purchased CS4 and am now unable to download the product!
    Can anybody help me? .....pleeeeeeeez
I was able to download all the downloads except the 3.7GB main download.
I have tried in Firefox 3, IE 6, IE 7, Opera.
I have tried on 2 different computers.
I have downloaded the latest Active X components and latest Java platforms for both IE and Firefox.
I have enabled cookies, javascript, popus, ads.
I have disabled all firefox plugins, firewalls and antivirus.
I have checked with my ISP that I can in fact download such big files.
I have successfully managed to download CS3 in the past.
I have plenty of disk space and RAM.
The error message I receive in Firefox reads as follows:
    Download Manager Fatal Error
Could not find the requested file on the server.
Contact the author of the page that contains the link. This download will be canceled.
I have wasted so many hours this trying to get this to work. Also spent a long time on the online chat to support with no success. Trying to contact Adobe over the phone is impossible - whether I try in the morning or evening - the response is "office hours are 9am - 5pm" ...whenever that is!? Clearly its not referring to GMT or the USA time zone. Technical support via the website - well, will see if they ever respond to the case I opened there.
Right now I'm really really hating this Akamai download manager. Anybody know how to get a NORMAL link to download so I can use my normal download manager?

dont worry any more with cs5  its realy easy and realy high speeeeeeeed downloading and you can use your own download manager
    just visit

  • Error message is 'The Request Error : 400' with SAP Download Manager

    Hello,
The authorization object SWDOWNLOAD (download software) is assigned to the My user ID.
But I could not download below that file.
    SAP_ABA 710 (4~8)
    SAP_BASIS 710 (4~8)
    PI_BASIS 2006_1_710 (4~8)
    SAP_BW 710 (4~8)
Error message is 'The Request Error : 400' with SAP Download Manager
I logged on to SAP Service Marketplace, software download area /swdc.
I have created objects in the download basket and have received approvals (->Maintenance-Optimizer) where required.
I start the SAP Download Manager and the objects from the download basket are visible in the object list of the program window.
After I choose "Objects for Download", the system starts the download.
In the info-line (in the lower part of the window), the system displays the message 'Processing object...' and then 'The request failed: 400'.

    Hello,
In these cases the following things should be checked:
1.- Please be sure that you are using the latest Donwload Manager version
2.- S-User and password should be active
3.- Specify the proxy. Please refer to SAP Note 155954
4.- It might be that you are not licensed for the product you want to download.
If the checkings above are correct and the problem is still alive, I would recommend you to open an SAP customer message under component XX-SER-SAPSMP-SDM providing the following information:
1.- The exactly software product name and package or stack number you try to download.
2.- Attach to the message the results of the trace file generated as per note 574885:
574885 - Download Manager: Generate trace file for analysis
    I hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Blanca

Yes - I've checked the address w're pointing to & have rechecked several times with our network people re: the proxy.
The trace seems to show that we're certainly making the initial connections to SAP OK - it just gives up after a few redirections.

  • Download Manager on my PC giving useless error

First, let me apologize if I am posting this is the wrong place.  Doesn't seem to be a single forum for Download Manager issues.
OK,  I uninstalled DM and installed Java 1.4.2_12 as per "Installing the Download Manager".  I then installed DM and chose this flavor of Java to use (I also have 1.6 on my PC for some Oracle/HP apps).
When I fire up DM to get at my basket I get the wonderfule descriptive error:
"The basket contents could not be read.  The following exception occured:
    null"
I tried removing what I had in my basket and readding it.  Same error.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Vince

    Hi,
This happens if the DM is not able to connect to SAP SMP. This is not the issue with the DM but its the issue with the proxy settings in your machine.
Make sure that you have entered the correct proxy settings in the Download Manager Configuration in the View menu and then try again.
    Good Luck...

  • Adobe Downloading Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 MultipleLanguages Windows  The Akamai Download Manager has encountered an fatal error: File not found.

I am trying to download the trial of PSE 13 which consists of two files. The first downloads ok but on the second I get this message:
Downloading Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 MultipleLanguages Windows
The Akamai Download Manager has encountered an fatal error: File not found.
Same thing happens if I try to download the files individually and also in different browsers. Any ideas?

Me three.   I have been trying for hours, and have used three different browsers.
I have just noticed that the URL it is trying to use is looking for ...win32.exe under a directory called win64. That sounds like a stupid typo mistake.  I manually modified the URL to this instead (and it downloaded something)...
    http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/PSE/13/win32/PhotoshopElements_13_LS25_win32.exe
Now I just need to figure out how to install the product manually using the two downloaded files!?!

  • Download manager TCP port error 9421

Everytime I install the manager and open the installer it gets 75 percent completed then pops up this error message "a resource on your machine TCP port 9421 required by the netsession client is either blocked or in use by another application. Now im pretty sure i dont have anything running in the background (im using Mac OSX) and i dont have the firewall activated or any virus software. PLEASE HELP.

I was struggling with the same issue for most of the day. I finally discovered a smal link on the Akamai Download Manager that says
" To download the files directly, click here. File 1 of 1 "
This allowed me to download the .dmg file onto my mac and it installed with no problem.

  • After download, midlet got "authentication error" when launched

with the new wireless toolkit, I picked demo projects, such as "Demos", or "CityGuide", to download into an Motorola i425 handset with Motorola's iDEN JAL. When I tried to launch the MIDlet(s), "Checking CityGuide" and then "Authentication error" were displayed. I had tried to sign the MIDlet. It still did not work.
    Does anybody have any clue?
    Thanks.

whatever, I've re-imaged it with i425.s19. everything works now.

  • Error while using SAP download manager

    Hi,
When we try to download patches using SAP download manager to download patches, I get the error below:
The basket content could not be read. The following exception occured:
Unable to read data form teh SAP Service Marketplace. Check your settings and try again.
I have entered all the required information i.e. s-user id, password, proxy details etc in the 'download manager configuration.'
Kindly let me know how to proceed forward.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kunal Patel

    Hi Kunal,
I think, by now your DM must be working, but just for info.
Please check SAP Service Marketplace Address , it should be , http://service.sap.com/ and not https:.
574885  Download Manager: Generate trace file for analysis
401196  Download Manager: Proxy configuration problems.
The above given SAP notes are very useful , which can be used to analyze the issue and also gives steps to generate the trace of the Download Manager which points to the issue. I resolved my DM issue with the above SAP notes.
Steps mentioned in the SAP note 401196 - Download Manager: Proxy configuration problems to trace out the issue:
    Open a command prompt.
CD to the directory where you installed the Download Manager.
At the prompt, type "java -Djavax.net.debug=all -jar DLManager.jar dlmanager.Application".
The Download Manager will be started. You are able to see detailed debugging information in the command prompt window. Note that it is also possible to write this output to a file.
Do let the forum know if your issue is resolved or not.

  • I get an error trying to install the download manager prior to downloading my new DW CC. Any ideas?

    Operating system - Windows 7 (64b)
    Computer ASUS
Running Windows Security Essentials and a couple of malware scanners
Are there any special requirements to get this download manager to install?
I have Carbonite backup that was in progress, and I paused that. Also turned off the malware scanners.
Here's the message I get "Adobe Application Manager is corrupted and must be reinstalled. Please contact Customer Service, which evidently doesn't exist except in these volunteer forums. Not impressed so far.

I resolved this myself. Instead of installing the application manager, I needed to install Cloud Desktop. That seems to have allowed me to install Dreamweaver.
