I am trying to download the trail version of CS 5.5 and the download has been stuck on "less than a minute" for about 8 hours....Can I do anything to fix this?

Probably not. You will have to try again. The issue in this case is that the downloader cannot move and concatenate its parts from the temporary location to the finla one that you specified as the target destination. could be anything from simply running out of (temporary disk space) to the drives being fragmented and cluttered. Download again, but before you do, do a little system maintenance. Also check your virus scanners and firewal lsettings and turn them off or create a security exception. if they interfere, they could be blocking some stuff...

Download Manager fails to close after Flash Player update

I recently updated my Flash Player to 10.1. The Adobe Download Manager screen indicates 100% installation, but the screen doesn't close. When I go to close the Download Manager screen, it indicates that an installation is still in progress. I have validated that Flash Player has successfully installed on the Adobe site and it appears to work fine with links in emails that require Flash Player, but I think that my computer has not fully acknowledged a successful and complete installation because my HP wireless printer Solution Center program is not accessible on my computer. I had this program disappear several months ago and it was due to my needing to update Flash Player to the previous updated version. I suspect I'm experiencing the same problem again.
I have an IBM ThinkPad tablet PC, running Windows XP 32 bit. I typically use IE 8 (although I also have FireFox on my machine). I have tried uninstalling Flash Player and Adobe Download Manager through my Control Panel and that doesn't seem to fix the situation. Any ideas? (I would really like to get my Solution Center software back up and working so I can go back to using my scanner.)

Sap download manager fails to work on 64bit window m/c

Hi ,
We have a windows 64bit m/c with Win2K3 Enterprise Edition ( 64 Bit ) .
We wnaetd to downlaod theap installables on this m/c
So we tried to install sap donwlaod manager.
But it crashes and gives following error in the event application logs
Faulting application sap_download_mgr.exe, version 5.0.0.0, faulting module sap_download_mgr.exe, version 5.0.0.0, fault address 0x00021cb0.
What can be the issue here.
This exe works fine on 32 bit m/c

Let it go... these DL's take forever, depending on the spped of your connection and the traffic on the servers.
If by morning it is still sitting there restart and the DL should pick up from where it left off.

I seem to be "stuck" downloading QuickTime. I'm still less than 1/10 on "Configuring Instillation" on my MacBookPro.

I've repeatedly tried to download QuickTIme on my MacBook Pro. It seems to be stuck on "Configuring Instillation".....showing less than 1/10 on the status bar. I don't know what to do. I'm incredibly challenged when it comes to these things. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Paul cb. I get the same error message (9), which relates to an apparent dropping of the USB connection. I have now tried 3 different usb cables on 2 different mac's, same result.
Reading as much as I can understand, there appears to be a dependance on an SHSH signature file. I have never Jailbroken any of my apple hardware, but there is much information that can be gleaned from the associated writings.
I am not a genius my any means, but it appears as though (iMhO) that somehow the files (or some of them) on the iPad have become corrupted and the all important SHSH file is not there. This causes iTunes to have no reference point for restoring the iPad. Also, it is not possible to force a new firmware (Option click restore in itunes) without an SHSH file, this results in an error that says that the iPad is not eligible for this version ... or something like that.
MY problem is that in Dubai we do not have an Apple Genius bar and that you guys and gals are the closest I will get to an Apple Genius. The iPad was purchased for me in the States when my daughter was visting there so, I am pretty much sitting on a brick right now ... (my wife has annexed my iPad 2 until I can fix her iPad 1 .... sighs).
Unless there are any other tactics that you guys can suggest (without Jailbreaking) then I think I may be at the end of the road ..
