Download Mavericks on a Windows PC to Install on Mac later?

Hi Everyone.
So I recently bought a new Imac (the one without the optical drive), but my OS is still Mountain Lion.
I want to upgrade it to Mavericks so that my Mac is up to date, but I have a problem...
Mavericks is over 5GB and I only have a cap of 3GB per month.
I can increase my cap if needed, but I want to find out if I can download Mavericks to a Windows PC (I use a windows PC at work and we have unlimited internet at work), and then install it later on my Imac at home?

I was also thinking that only the App Store can download it.
In regards to your comment regarding me using my work pc for personal gain. I admire your work ethic, but we have a company policy that states we are allowed to use the internet for personal use, including downloads. It must just not consume our working time, and as I can click to download something and go on with my work, there is nothing wrong with it at my company.
I guess I will increase my personal computer cap to download it directly to my Imac then.

Well I've been trying to find a full installment of Windows 7 32/64 bit Ultimate/Home Edition/Professional but I can't find a disc. So basically I'm asking can I just download Windows 7 from the internet with the product key or do I HAVE TO get a disc and install it through Bootcamp?

I don't know if you can legally download a full Windows 7 installer, but if you can find one, you just need to copy the image to a flash drive. See:

Amazon has several different versions of Windows 7 available on disk, though. Have you tried them?

I try to use bootcamp and partition size is 180GB for Windows 8.1.
I thought almost finish on Windows 8.1 installation, but these message was appeared.....
I called to Apple support, but they cannot solve this problem.

I tried as you said, but I could not install....
1. restart boot camp assistant and remove/delete the non-working Windows partition
2. restart the machine and do a PRAM reset
3. open disk utility, select the HD and repair permissions twice
4. restart boot camp assistant
5. burn the DVD into an ISO on OSX
6. put that ISO and Windows support software onto your USB
I think installation is almost finish, but the drivers was something wrong.....
Do I have to wait for new drivers?

When you purchase Elements programs they are valid for either platform though you cannot install the PC version on a Mac, and vice versa. But you do get access to both versions for the same license. Most applications sold by Adobe are not provided for both platforms with the same license however.
You are allowed to have activated installations on two machines. You can install on as many as you like but cannot activate more than two of the installations. You can deactivate if you need to to activate somewhere else.

I'm new to Mac and I have Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection Student and Teacher Edition for Windows and I'd use it on Windows 7 until I decided switch to Mac Pro.
I was able to download on my Mac Pro laptop but I can run the program: "...because Microsoft Windows application are not supported on OS X."
What should I do to use my Master Collection on my Mac?

Can Windows 8 be installed on Mac OS X Leopard?

I'm tryina boot camp my Mac with Windows 8. I'm currently running on OS X Leopard. I seem to be repeatedly running into problems and most searches are just turning up that apparently Vista was the latest Windows type to run on Leopard. Is this really the case? Do I need to upgrade to Mountain Lion to get Windows 8 running?

Upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8, and remember that Windows 8 is unreleased so there is no support from Apple or Microsoft yet, Win 7 drivers may or may not work.

I downloaded Mavericks, and now ITunes won't open

Although the iTunes icon is showing on the dock and in Launchpad and Finder, it won't open.

To confirm, you've downloaded and installed Mavericks, and not just downloaded Mavericks, right?
If you have installed Mavericks, have you tried updating to load the current iTunes 12 software, to see if that might resolve this?
I'd probably also try using Disk Utility.app (Applications > Utilities) to repair the disk permissions, and also to check the volume for errors, though it's not at all clear that would help here.
If all that fails, see if Console.app (Applications > Utilities) shows any messages relevant to iTunes, if you launch that and then try the (failing) iTunes launch.

I've been trying to download the software for Windows Media Player 9 for Mac (OS X) in two versions: 1 - Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X, 2 - Windows Media® Components for QuickTime. Every time I download the files I get this message: Unable to expand "Windows Media 4.stix"- Stuffit archives are not supported.
Any ideas on what my problem is, simply I need a program which will show Windows Media files.

I like Mavericks! But now I want to do a fresh install on my macbook since I have pretty much a bunch of useless apps and settings which I have no Idea what they do!

You don't need a bootable USB. Yes you can make one but you have to do that on a Mac.
You use the Recovery HD partition to erase the Macintosh HD partition and then reinstall your current version of OS X. It's all right there in the Recovery HD Mac OS X Utilites screen. Hold down the Command + r keys at startup to get to the Recovery HD and Mac OS X Utilities.

One way around tis is to borrow a Mac that can run Mavericks and then the download will work. You can use these instructions:
