Download Microsoft Communicator 2005 adm template

Good Day,
        Can anyone provide me the communicator 2005 adm files (communicator.adm)?
        I can't download the communicator 2005 full version from Microsoft site since it EOL. I like use the communicator.adm template to push the GPO.

How can i close microsoft communicator on my mac?

I downloaded Microsft Office and stupidly downloaded Microsoft Communicator as well. The fact it is open is stopping the installation of Microsoft Office. Can anyone advise how to close Communicator, or better still, uninstall it?

Seeing as how this is a Microsoft product, it appears to me that asking them would be the way to go.

We have a Windows 2008 R2 server and we are building a backup server for it and cannot seem to locate the MS Office Communicator 2005 client install. I have spent 3 days looking for it, I know its no longer supported but we use it everyday and have a MS
Office Live Communicator 2005 server so we require this client. I know there are a few third party SIP messengers but we like MS Office Communicator 2005 very much and would like both servers to be as similar as possible. I have an MS Action Pack and we downloaded
the client from the but its no longer available. So if anyone can help me get the communicator.msi for Live Comm 2005 I would be very grateful. I even have the activation key for the client, just no installer. I can't imagine I'm the only organization that
likes this simple IM app and still uses it, or maybe I am. If tehre is a similar substitute app that works I'm all ears. Thanks.

ADM template for Reader X

Morning all,
Does Adobe have an approved ADM template for Adobe Reader 10 that can be downloaded and used in a GPO?
As far as I can see, end users like you and me are creating their own and using it "at our own risk"!
Is Adobe not big enough of a company to provide an official ADM template?
We are suggested to use a template to control all these new security features but no official templates are provided!

AFAIK adobe never offers adm-tempates (or I'm to stupid to find them up to now )
Since today I always had used the adm-templates from www.gruppenrichtlinien.de, but these templates only in german. I'm waiting for an update, cause theis templates only for v6 - v9 of adobe reader.

ADM template for office and AD - Group policy

Hi,
I need to enforce English (UK) as the editing language in office application (2010 & 2013).
I have downloaded the ADM template saved it on C drive on the AD server.
Then I loaded the ADM template for office to a GOP which I created on test basis and added an AD user to it.
On the template I enabled the setting for primary editing language as English (UK) .
on the client side , when I open an office application eg outlook or word, I can still see English (US) as the set language.
what am I doing wrong ?
also how do I use the ADMX template ? because when from the GPO editor I try to browse add the its template the window show blank.

From Windows 2008 R2, the current version of Administrative Template files are ADMX files. The GPMC displays these settings under the Administrative Templates node.
However, the GPMC still recognizes ADM files and displays these settings under the Classic Administrative Templates node, which is a child node to Administrative Templates .

ADM templates for Java

Ok, this is a bit off topic, but let me put this up:
1. On a windows 7 with the latest Java, I am accessing a Java page

2. This page doesn't have a trusted certificate, as its an educational purpose one, anyway, I get the message :
"Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running."
3. Referring to : http://www.java.com/en/download/help/appsecuritydialogs.xml : I can as a Admnistrative user go in and goto Control Panel, Get to Java (32-bit) and open it up
Then I can go to Security and add the exception there.
My issue is with users who are non-administrators.
So I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar requirement where they had to do something in the Java Control Panel and used an ADM template, one they created or one available somewhere to configure it globally.

you can write your own admix files for the Java RT settings or usually the software vendor offers a template for corporate users.
or you could use procmon.exe to monitor which registry keys are changed by the java RT security console.

Classic adm template display in gp report

We used server 2003 to configure the GPOs initially, and various adm templates were added including one for word 2007. After moving to server 2008, I've noticed inconsistent behaviour with displaying GP settings that are part of these templates.When viewing
the settings of the GPO, all the settings can be seen under "Administrative Templates".
However, if I run a GP results wizards, then most but not all of the settings come under "Extra registry settings". The adm files are all in the sysvol area for the GPO itself.

You could try to configure policy setting in Windows server 2008 domain controller and check if this policy setting will display correctly.
The setting should be:
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Media Player\Networking\configure HTTP Proxy
Besides, Group Policy tools will continue to recognize custom ADM files you have in your existing environment, but will ignore any ADM file that has been superseded
by ADMX files: System.adm, Inetres.adm, Conf.adm, Wmplayer.adm, and Wuau.adm. Therefore, if you have edited any of the these files to modify existing or create new policy settings, the modified or new settings will not be read or displayed by the Windows Vista–based
Group Policy tools.

Microsoft Communicator alternative for BlackBerry OS 6

Hello,
Just got a replacemant BlackBerry Curve running OS 6. However, the Microsoft Communicator app doesn't support BlackBerry OS 6.
Does anyone know of an alternative to Communicator that still offers support for Enterprise login?

I was trying to Configure Microsoft SQLSERVER 2005 as a IT Resource with OIM 9.1.0.1. However after completing all the configuration,
When I tried assigning the configured SQLSERVER IT Resource to a User, following error is thrown:
Response: wrong number of arguments
Response Description: Unknown response received
Notes:
*Assigned to User: System Administrator[XELSYSADM]*
Error Details
Setting task status... "wrong number of arguments" does not correspond to a known Response Code. Using "UNKNOWN".
If anyone has encountered this error before, then please help.

Are you using the Database User Management connector and trying to provision accounts to a MS SQL Server? Can you also post the logs from the error.

at first i did it with my ovi account but every time it tells me invalid url
but when i wrote in the url bar
ovi.com it asks me about a certificate at first i accepted once but did'nt work on the second time i accepted the cirtificate permentally and confirmed when asked it will always confirm
and i pressed yes and also nothing happened
then i tried to do this with hotmail but every time i write www.hotmail.com in the server url it says invalid url

I have recently purchased my new Imac and find that I can't download Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 from my disk? Why isn't this supported?

Because it is a Windows version of MS Office. You will need a Mac version, such as listed below.

Can i install office 2003 adm templates on server 2012?

yes, the template can still be installed in the policy store or on a computer running gpmc and added in on 2012.
they will process fine
although on a side note I think office 2003 is out of support - or due to be - so you might want to look at upgrading that too in the near future.

I second LibreOffice as it's the most recent fork, however NeoOffice and OpenOffice will also work.
Just say No money to Redmond!
Also the old Ready Set Go! will be having a Lion version out soon.
It's a low cost page layout program (like Indesign but without the high price) and can make booklets etc better, import the excel grpahics from LibreOffice.
