Download Mountain Lion does not Start

I have a MacBook Pro 13 Änderungen Want to install Mountain Lion, but when i start the Download the Button appears in the launchpad an from Nowack on nothing happens. Any ideas?

Migrating from SnowLeopard to Mountain Lion does not start

Just got a brand new 15"MacBook Pro Retina running Mountain Lion.
First thing I tried to do after selecting language and keyboard was to try to migrate everything from my 15" MacBookPro running Snow Leopard but the process does not even start
After connecting both via ethernet cable, the computers recongnized each other, and I started the process but it has been showing "Preparing to transfer user documents for more than 4 hours"
No progress bar, no expected time for completion. nothing at all
Any suggestions on what to do?

IMac (Mountain Lion) does not pair with Apple Remote

Hi,
my iMac (2009, Mountain Lion) does pair with my remote. Otherwise the remote (or remotes, I tried two) are working fine with the iMac, it just wont pair.
I need it to pair as I have an iMac and MPB and each having its own remote (each computer should react only to its remote, not the other computer remote)
I googled this extensively, here is what I did so far:
- obviously, trying the normail "pair remote" procedure as the support page says
- checking that infrared remote pairing is enabled and no other remote is currenly paired
- restarting Mac OS
- removing and reinsterting battery in remote
- making sure I am an Admin
- disabling the remote function in Plex and killing all Plex (and EyeTV and similar) processes via Activity Monitor (thought they might somehow limite the OS control over the remote)
- tried the same with another remote (does not pair as well)
This is very annoying.
Can anyone help out?

Does the remote remember which computer it is paired to? I though only the computer remebers that.
In any case, currently there is not remote paired to any computer (both computers have clean new Mountain Lion installations). And I cannot pair any remote to any of my machines. In between, I tried with the laptop as well, and it is not pairing as well. I also tried an (old, still working) third remote... nothing is happening.
Some apps seem to take control of the remote (e.g. pressing menu start Plex on my systems). Could that be the issue? Is there a Terminal command to give Mac OS back full control over the remote?
Or could it be something else? 'Is there an app for that' a la ForcePair.app?

I have installed OS X Lion. I updated software (safari and itunes) and after it rebooted screen went black.
Now It does not start and only shows a black screen. What can I do?
When I turn it on, ventilator obviously starts but beyond that there is nothing to indicate that it is on....

This may be a hardware failure, but there are a few things you can try.
First, disconnect all wired peripherals and try to boot in safe mode (shift key held down at startup.)
If that doesn't work, boot from your recovery partition (command-R at startup.) If you can do that, reinstall the Mac OS and try again.
If that doesn't work, reset the NVRAM and PRAM:
Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
If none of that works, take the unit to an Apple Store for service.

I just downloaded Mountain Lion. Notes opens & closes.

Recently downloaded Mountain Lion. When i open Notes it closes and i receive an error message. I re-downloaded the program again and Notes still doesnt open for me. Has anyone else experienced this problem. I use a MacBook.

Hmmm. I've heard of a couple other reports here, but I don't know whether a solution was found. Are you signed into iCloud? Which accounts in System Preferences->Accounts have Notes enabled? Try unchecking Notes for all your accounts except for iCloud and seeing whether that helps.
Do you have a Notes.crash.log in Console? Maybe you could post it here if so?

Download osx lion does not work

I bought osx lion (21 july 2011), downloading it now does not work

Again, what happens when you try to download Lion? I am able to do so by going to the Mac App store, making sure I am logged in to the account I previously purchased Lion using, then going to the Purchases tab. Where I see Lion in the list, to the right of it I see a Download button.

Download of OS X Lion does not start..

I tried to to install OS X Lion, so I went to the Appstore and tried to start the download. After clicking on the Purchase-button the Lion-symbol jumps to my tray-bar and remains there doing anything. There is just a message, which says I have to wait... And tht is all it does. Even when I try to stop the download it would not stop. Just rebooting helps to get rid of the symbol, but it still did not help with the download.
What to do?

I found that my problem had to do with my firewall. At least it had effect on working with the App Store. I did not update to OS X yet because I actually got the right to get the version for free, but Apple seems to refuse to acknowledge my emails which proves that I bought my Macbook right in time to get a free version...
Anyway, the other downloads, which did not start at the point my firewall was not configured properly, work now.
Try to check if your router or a program on your Macv denies the incoming data exchange with the app store and change that. Otherwise I have no clue what else could be the problem.

Trying to download mountain lion but not impressed first time didnt load all and now trying to download again and it just freezes for days and never commits it in full can you help or is there any way to revers back to snow leopard

I have tryed to load mountain lion several times and it just freezes for days on end is ther any way of reversing my dession back to snow leopard as i think it too muctch to dowload and when it does parts are missing and my epson scanner 3170 photo does not work as effeciant as it did i am not to pleased with it at all and think this download should be on a disk.
Not impressed at all.

If you don't have a backup make one now of all your own data, you can just drag your Documents folder to another disk, assuming that is where you keep your own data. Then erase the disk with Disk Utility by booting up holding cmd-r. Choose Disk Utility > Erase tab from the screen that is presented. Then install from your SL disk.

After upgrading to Mountain Lion does not to wake up from sleep

I just upgraded my Mac Book Pro mid 2009 from Lion to Mountain Lion. Everything is ok, but when I try to wake up it from a sleep, white dots fill, only last one remains grey and machine stay forever.
I really appreciate any suggestions.

My suggestion is that you reinstall Mountain Lion:
Reinstalling Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

How come skype on mountain lion does not load all the time?

I am about to pull my hair out re: skype not loading on mountain lion (sometimes it does).
Does anyone know why sometimes when you click the skype icon it loads, but most of the time it doesn't?
I click it, it doesn't load, ...
Is there something i need to clear, install, or ???

I click the skype icon, it bounces, but doesn't load up or anything. Sometimes when I shut down the computer and do a clean boot up, skype will work, but most times it doesn't

IMovie '11 on Mountain Lion does not see Canon Vixia HG20, Lion does

I have 2 Canon Vixia HG20s and an HG21 that I had previously used with iMovie. When I plug the cameras into any of my Mountain Lion systems, iMovie does not see the camera to import from. On my MacBook it only sees the EyeSight camera.
I know I had imported from these cameras when I was still running Lion. In fact, I still have one Mini running Lion Server. I installed iMovie onto it and plugged in one the HG20s. It immediately recognized it and offered to import the videos. I unplugged it and immediately moved it to the MacBook with Mountain Lion, and it's not recognized.
The one thing I'm not sure I have tried is on another Mini that was upgraded from Lion to Mountain Lion. I will be trying that tonight.
What can be done to allow me to import my videos, something I USED TO be able to do?

Wow. I looked at some of your other posts and found a few hints that I tried. I deleted all the com.apple.iMovieApp.plist and .cache files/folders in various locations and tried again. Now iMovie sees my camera!

Restart while holding down the Command + R keys so you can verify and if necessary, repair the startup disk.

New install of CS3 on my new Mac OSX Lion does not start

Good morning,
I have an old Mac running CS3, that was upgraded to Lion afterwards with no difficulty.
I bought a new Mac 27" Mac OSX Lion, when installing CS3 on it, the licence number does not register a green check (horrible red cross instead....) Licence number is valid, legally purchased....
What's wrong here? I can't aford to upgrade just for that reason....
