Download mp3's from ESPN Radio Insider

With my Windows PC, I could go to ESPN's Radio Insider and download Podcasts from their radio shows each day. They have 2 choices, download and play. With Windows, I could right click on download and save mp3 files to a folder. With the Macbook, I click on download and it plays, I'm not given a choice to download to a folder. I'm sure this is a stupid question, however how can I download the podcast in lieu of just playing it? Thank you.

Hi SlamDunk!
Welcome to Apple Discussions.
There's two ways, it appears, as I just tried downloading the podcasts.
Option #1: Subscribe to it via iTunes and download from within the iTunes client. There's a little icon that says "iTunes" and upon clicking it, brought me into iTunes and directly to the page where I could subscribe to the podcast.
Option #2: Right-Click (or Control-Click) on the "Download" icon and select "Download Linked File"
http://espnradio.espn.go.com/espnradio/podcast/index
That's the URL I visited and the listen options are below each podcast. (Play / Download / iTunes / RSS)

  • HT1660 I have downloaded two podcasts from ABC radio, but I can't find them?

I am a very new user of iPad, only a couple of days. I have downloaded podcasts from ABC radio but can't find them, any ideas?

Since you've posted your question in iTunes forum, I assume you have downloaded these Podcasts into iTunes and that you cannot find them in iTunes. Is that correct?
    How did you download them?
Did you download them through iTunes as Podcasts? You would have seen them appear in the iTunes Download window.
Or did you download them directly from the ABC website, as MP3 files to a folder on your computer?

  • How to download MP3 songs from my computer harddrive to IPOD?

This a used IPOD that I just bought.
I restored it to its factory settings by using Itunes software.
Now I am trying to download some MP3 songs from my computer so that I can listen to them using the IPOD. I don't even know this is possible. I used Windows Explorer and droped the songs to IPOD 'drive'. IPOD says 'no music' and I can't play any of the songs using IPOD, but the songs are showing up in the Windows Expolorer. I can play them using Windows media player also. What am I doing wrong?

You need to use iTunes to put music on the iPod so that it can be played.

  • Download mp3 music from webpage

I didn't know what category to put this under.
I tried to download an mp3 song form a website. I had no luck. It comes up with a message to right click and choose "Save As". There doesn't appear to be a way to do that on the mac. It plays in Quicktime but still I'm not sure what to do.
Of course it does not appear in the download file.
Is there some setting I need to change on the MacBook to have it recognize the song?

You could also buy an external mouse, if you really want the full experience of right-clicking.
Or you could even use the QuickTime plugin within Safari to play the file, copy the file's URL from the address bar, go to Safari's Download window, and hit paste.

  • Downloading .mp3s from the Web

    Hi all,
I've just encountered a slight problem on my BlackBerry 9800 Torch when downloading .mp3 files from the web.
What I often do is send the files to my Gmail address from my computer as attached files, then login to Gmail from my BB and download them onto my device there.
Thing is, it doesn't always work : some files go to the music section (which is where I expect and intend them to appear) but some mysteriously disappear, don't know where to look to find them.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated !
    Thanks
EDIT : I ended up finding them when I connected my device to my computer. Doesn't expalin where they went on the phone but at least I found them !

It's Safari 4 not Quicktime that causes this... Safari 4 doesn't support downloading non-embedded media. Safari now supports html 5 might be the reason why. Media in html 5 isn't handle by plugins. Use Firefox instead.

  • Downloaded MP3 files not visible in playlist. I can find them by going through my desktop Start button and typing in the name of the file and clicking on it, then iTunes opens and plays it but I still can't see it in the playlist.

I have downloaded several files from a radio stations archives.  They download as MPEG Audio Layer 3 files.  When I go to the playlist that they are supposedly in I can not see them. But if I click Start on my desktop and type in the file names then iTunes opens and takes me to the playlist (where you see no list) and begins playing.   Any idea how I can get the list to show?

You cannot download music from the web and save it to your iPad. It must be synced through iTunes.

I am trying to download a free song from a radio station web page.  it redirects me to the itunes store but once there it wants me to log in to redeem a code which i don't have.  Not sure what I need to do from here to fix this

In Safari, control-click the link and choose Download Linked File. Alternatively, click on the address bar when it's displaying the MP3's URL and press the Option and Return keys simultaneously.

You can create an App store account without a credit card, however that won't help you with updating your previous purchases. Apps are DRM protected, and tied to the account that was used to originally purchase them. There is no way to overcome this DRM protection or transfer them to another account(Itunes support can if you contact them). If you want to create an App store account without a credit card, follow the directions here, but bear in mind the DRM protection mentioned. If you use this account to download free apps, you will have to use this same account for all future updates:

When i sync my music from com to my Iphone and movie clips I can't play them. It look likes it is in iCloud. Next to the music and movie clips there is a download sign (circle with a dot inside)

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.
