Download multiply files in 1 click

Hi there!
I'm almost a year happy Mac user, but since Mountain Lion release I lost very usefull feature from Safari - "Activity" tab. I needed that feature for downloading multiplay files in 1 click (example link). But now I don't get how should I do that with new Safari, that's why I'm using Firefox now (it can do that with DownThemAll extencion). Please any solution how can I do that with Safari!
Thank you!

Hi Gopal,
Using Filedownload UI Element, you can only able to download one file.
But if you want to download group of files once. simply use java ZIP API(java.util.zip.*) to compress all the files into .zip format and download using the filedownload UI element.
Regards,
Naga

  • Firefox 15 won't download zip files to desktop

    Hi All,
I cant download directly to the desktop, Firefox puts the downloads in a folder on the desktop. The path in Options is: C:\Users\DW\Desktop\Desktop. It puts a folder on the desktop called Desktop.
I would like to be this: C:\Users\DW\Desktop.
Older versions would allow downloading to desktop. I must be missing something? Can anyone help?

Thank you for your reply. I wasn't clear in my first post.
In the Options window - General panel under Downloads -> Save files to: by clicking the "Browse" button. Firefox will not allow me to choose the desktop.
When I choose the desktop Firefox chooses this path instead. The path is this: C:\Users\DW\Desktop\Desktop. And It puts a folder on the desktop called Desktop.
I would like to be able to choose this: C:\Users\DW\Desktop. But it wont let me. Older versions would allow downloading to desktop.

  • Downloading linked files via Safari after Leopard upgrade

Prior to my Leopard upgrade, when I would go to my audio site, I could click on the link and it would play in quicktime no problem, if I wanted to download the file... I would use "option" click.. again no problem. Now after the upgrade, if I click the file, still plays no problem but when I attempt to download the file using "option" click, it downloads the html address as opposed to the actual linked file. And when I use "control" click to emulate a right click, none of those options work either. I get the same result. It downloads the html link only and not the file. This all worked fine prior to the upgrade and my friend who also upgraded is also getting the same exact results. I couldn't find anything in the Safari options so I am at a loss..... Any suggestions?

I have the same problem... Prior to upgrading to Leopard, I had a folder named "Downloads" located on my desktop that Firefox saved files to. After upgrading to Leopard, I set the new Apple-supplied Downloads folder (located in my home folder) as the default location, but Firefox still refused to download files.
I manually moved everything from my own Downloads folder (located on the Desktop) to the Apple-supplied folder (in my home folder) and created an alias (for convenience) for this folder on the desktop. Alas, Firefox still refused to download.
Eventually, I just deleted the alias to the Downloads folder located on my desktop and now Firefox will download just fine. Kinda irritating...

  • Safari 1.3.2 won't download files when I click on links

I've been having an issue with my computer. When I'm logged in my account in my 1.8GHZ IMAC POWERPC G5, safari 1.3.2 I click on links such as on apple Iworks 30 day trial download, or to download the Mozilla Firefox webbrowser and it says it downloaded the file, however no download window opened up nor did it download anything. This apparently only happens on my account. If another user logs in my computer under their user account they can download everything normaly. I though Safari was corrupted, so I tried reinstalling OS 10.3.9 and still the same issue. I think it's something to do with the java settings,
I tried everything already and still nothing.
    I also tried to trash the Download.plist . I found this in Home_folder>Library>Safari folder>Download.plist
After I trash it relaunch Safari an tried again but NO LUCK!! PLEASE HELP!

I trashed the download.plist in the safari folder and restarted my computer and safari still does not download any link I click on to download. I usually have to press on the "Control" key and select download linked file...however some links you cannot download anything and when I do that only the icon gets downloaded not the actual program such as Firefox mozilla or Iworks 30 day trial.
PLEASE HELP, and thanks for everything.

  • Downloaded MP3 files not visible in playlist. I can find them by going through my desktop Start button and typing in the name of the file and clicking on it, then iTunes opens and plays it but I still can't see it in the playlist.

I have downloaded several files from a radio stations archives.  They download as MPEG Audio Layer 3 files.  When I go to the playlist that they are supposedly in I can not see them. But if I click Start on my desktop and type in the file names then iTunes opens and takes me to the playlist (where you see no list) and begins playing.   Any idea how I can get the list to show?

  • When downloading a file, if I right-click and select new the submenu is not displayed

I have Firefox 12 installed; running XP SP3. Options/General/Always ask me where to save files is selected. If I download a file and select save file, I will get a save file to dialog. If I right-click in the dialog and select new, there is no submenu displayed. As a consequence, I cannot create a new folder in which to save the selected file. New will simply try to create a shortcut.

That Save As dialog that you see is part of Windows Explorer, including the contextual menu including "New". So, this sounds more like you may have a problem at a more fundamental operating system level, because Firefox (as far as I know) doesn't do anything, or even can, modify the content of the context menus of an Explorer window.
Could you provide a screenshot of what you see to make sure we're talking about the same thing here? Thanks!

  • Clicking on PDF files on the internet does not download with file extension

When I click on a PDF link it downloads the file but does not save it as a ".pdf" file extension. When using the "save as" function in mozilla the ".pdf" file extension is included.

Current Firefox versions have enabled a built-in PDF Viewer that doesn't have all features that other PDF readers like the Adobe Reader have or may not function properly otherwise.
You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use another application like the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu.

  • When I click to open anything I get a box saying open link in new window, open link in new tab, download linked file etc.  When I go to close anything I get hide toolbar, customize toolbar.  It takes  3-5 clicks and it will finally close.

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

  • HT2305 I downloaded, and have two .msi files and one setupadmin.exe file. I click the latter and nothing happens?

I downloaded 2 updates (download only), and there's two  .msi files and one setupadmin.exe file. I click the latter and nothing happens? How am I meant to do install these updates?

Sorry I forgot to mention I was doing this on a PC with Vista (the heading was Windows so I didn't bother to mention this). Anyway by trial and error I found that you can click on the .msi files to install them. The files were downlads of updates to iTunes and iCloud Control Panel.

  • Create link that when clicked downloads a file to a viewer's computer

Hi. I am using Dreamweaver MX on a Mac. I have a Word a doc (python_contents.doc) that I want to automaticaly download to the viewer's computer when he/she clicks a link called "Download Python Table of Contents."   Can't figure out how. Any help? Thanks millions.

Most straight links do in fact download the file, then launch in whichever helper application is required to view it.
If you zip the file first, it will download to the end user's hard drive (My Documents, desktop or some other Downloads folder). And the user will need to unzip it.
Or you might choose to use a "Force Download" script in whichever server-side languages your server supports.  This one is in PHP.

  • Why my Firefox v6.02 browser always open *.csv (comma delimited) file in another tab rather than downloading a file? I do not have right click option to save this file.

My Firefox v6.02 browser always open *.csv (comma delimited) file in another tab rather than downloading a file? I do not have right click option to save this file. My OP is windows XP sp2.

    Hi mha007,
    Go to this site "http://www.nseindia.com/content/indices/ind_histvalues.htm"
Select any Index type and from dates select just one day or any number of days. Click "Get Details" button. This will open tabular data on loaded page (with link CSV file link at bottom).
When I click this link, it opens CSV file in new tab (in Firefox browser) and does not open download window (just as in case of other file formats like *.zip, *.rar or *.xls).
Right-click of link does not give "save as" or "save file" option.
Firefox is my preferred and default browser.
    ========
surprisingly, When I do same thing in IE6 browser, data-table page shows 2 options below table, i.e. (1) download file (2) open file.

  • I clicked on a link to download a file and opened a blank tab

So I clicked on a link to download a pdf file then I went into the download arrow and I clicked on the file. When I clicked on the file it just opened a new blank tab. After try and try again I still can't get it to download the file correctly. I have tired everything. I have the most current version of firefox and my fire wall is not interfering with firefox at all. I don't know if it's the website or something but I am lost.

Try to rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu if you want to display PDF documents in Firefox with another application (i.e. not the built-in PDF Viewer).
