Download music info error

After downloading music info in Walkman for xperia z, some of the info is in chinese, not english...I have turned off the chinese keybord in settings. Any suggestions?

this problem shouldn't be related to your Android Software if you are using the Xperia Walkman, but if the Stock ROM is not in the same location and you're not using xperia walkman, the software can contact a different server for tagging the music, probably replying with a different native language

How to reset Gracenote 'Download Music Info' after it messed up

Hi, I recently started using the Walkman on my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and used the 'Download Music Info' provided by Gracenote. I ticked the 'Replace Existing Information' box and after it downloaded all the album arts, it has also messed up the artist tags - for albums with more than one featuring artist, it has generated a separate entry in the Artists section for each one, so, for example, the artist previously listed as Clean Bandit, now has about 10 entries with Clean Bandit ft. Stylo G, Clean Bandit ft. Elisabeth Troy, etc. etc.
With a collection of several thousand songs by hundreds of artists it has made using the Walkman app impossible!
Is there any way to reset the mess Gracenote has caused? I've looked and the ID3 tags are intact, and I have also followed instructions from several other forums, suggesting deleting folders in Android/data/com.sonyericsson.music and other similar folders, and have literally wiped out every file and folder relating to music that was modified in the last 24 hours, from both internal storage and my microSD card. I've cleared data on Walkman and the Download Music Info app, disabled them and reenabled them and restarted countless times, all to no avail.
Surely there must be something that can be done to fix this other than hard resetting the phone?
I'm guessing there are residual files on the /system/ or /data/ partition that, if deleted, would fix this, but I don't want to root my phone to get access to them.
Is it worth trying to get Sony to release a patch or fix, or am I missing something that could fix it?

Download Music Info crashes

I am using Xperia Z3. The download music info always crash when it reaches about 200/300 songs. However, when I have only 1 song in the list, it downloaded successfully. So the problem is the songs I have in the storage or the Walkman?

Since one song works properly, I do not think it's something wrong with the service. I suspect that the metadata for a song may be corrupt or that the song contains a symbol that is not correct. You can always try to scan the id3 tags via our program Media GO to see if you can find which song that may cause this issue. You can find Media GO in PC Companion:

Walkman artist picture incorrect when using "download music info"

Hi all,
I uploaded some music using media go, but the artist picture when i used the "download music info" is the wrong one. I uploaded them all on media go but it did not download according, need help to fix it up!

The reason for that is that the album or artist info was wrong on those music files, you have 2 options
1. edit one by one
or
2. on your PC > open WMP > album > right click > find album info > once its done transfer it to your phone with Media Go

Z3 C Walkman Download Music Info - nothing downloads! App just prepares then crashes...

'Download music info' is initiated to update my music, but the download never actually goes past preparing and the app crashes 100% of the time.

Download music info is inaccurate

Hi everyone,
So I used the "download music info" function to add up missing info for my songs. The function did well for about 90% of the song, but the 10% left, well, the name is completely changed into somthing else. For example: Call me maybe ~~> This kiss
I wonder if anyone has encountered this problem? Is there anyway to undo the process ?

The best way to do this is to re-transfer all your music through media go, also the way I do it:
on the PC > open WMP > look for the album > right click the album > find album info > once it has the correct info copy/paste/drag the album/folder to your internal storage or SD card

You would be best ot remove the file from the phone then re-add it via the likes of MediaGo.

Can't sign in to iTunes or download music "Unknown Error (-9813)"

Every time I try to sign into iTunes to download music I get the following message:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-9813)"
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and that didn't help....

My nephew is having the same issue as of today. Opens iTunes 8.0.2, clicks Sign In. Tried to create a new account, got the unknown error -9813.
We created an AppleID through the website (that only worked in Firefox, not in Safari 3.2.1) and then clicked sign in. We entered his info, same thing, error -9813.
He's on an iMac running 10.4.11.
I'm going to say this is a bug or recent issue.

After downloading Music (-50) error

I have the current itunes 7.0. Just updated. Ever since, I have been unable to download music. I get a -50 error and it tells me to check the connection. The connections are good. My DNS is good. I did not switch ISPs. I checked permissions. Permissions are good. What else? I am running on Mac Os 10.4.7. It seems to me that Apple has released another crappy product. I'm getting so tired of this.

I have not had any problems with 7.0 or the new update 7.0.1. Try and update your 7.0 to 7.0.1 and see if they have fixed any bug that may have been in 7.0.

Walkman Music Info Error

Hi;
I'm using "Edit music info" and then update buttom. Every thing working well but when I move my files or rename them I will lose every music info. It seem music info not saved into my files.

In this case your best option would be to remove use files from the phone then transfer them again using the MediGo software:

Walkman/ Music App does not retain downloaded music info

Whenever I download and replace the default music info in my music app, after sometime the data gets reverted back to the default one.My device is currently on lollipop, the problem occured in Kitkat too cure

While trying to download music dep error occured

I have windows XP. The iTunes9 downloaded successfully but when I try to download music, apps or anything else a DEP message box occurs and shuts down browser.

That's what 'transfer' meant?
I really don't use another Apple ID for music, and I'm keeping the iPhone so I guess I'll be ok then, I can download music on the iPhone now without any problems after I hit Transfer, thank you

Downloading music proxy error

I have installed the latest version of Nokia Music on my PC. I selected tracks to download and have prepaid. When I try to download each track though I get the error:
The Remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy authentication required.
I am using my work PC and we use a proxy server, the proxy settings are stored in IE (version 7) and I can't find anywhere to enter proxy details in Nokia Music application. Can anyone help me?

Did anyone help with this? I have the same problem with a work proxy server. When I connect to the internet vie IE, it asks for a password. Nokia Music doesn't seem to let me do this and it gives a 407 Proxy Authentication Error. The Nokia helpdesk just tell me to talk to my IT dept (thanks a bunch...) who obviously aren't going to lift a finger to help. It seems to me I ought to be able to download the Nokia Music files through IE or another browser, but is that possible?
Any help gratefully received...
