Whenever i try to download any music or video it show online music or video but it cannot show download option.

I have just downloaded a Hello Kitty MMO app for research (for my kid of course).
I am developping my English teaching app with LOADS of classical music, mp3 sentences and heavy background bgs. Would the best idea be for client to download these to their hardisk ie I would not need to stream them and therefore save a fortune on bandwidth charges from my ISP???
CheersI see what you mean ie: they have to get the file to their computer one way or another BUT
a. If they are going to repeatedly use that file ie: a custom cursor or classical piece of music every week when they log on then it would be better for them to have it on their hardisk wouldn't it? If not, they would have to download it every time they log on. I take it that's why the hello kitty site makes you download 130 megas so you have everything on your hardisk, ie: you will be reusing all those assets MANY times in the future. The experience wil be very FAST as you have it on your local disk and needn't have to wait for streaming. -
Safari not downloading but open any file in browser
All of a sudden I can't seem to download any files with Safari anymore, where it use to save the file in the download folder it stop doing that and trying to open the files in the browser, so for example a text file will show up as text in the browser, binary files show garbage on the web browser - nothing in download folfer even though that is where it's suppose to save download that is set in Preferences. Can't remember changing anything or installing something new.
Running a MacBook Pro on OSX 10.6.8 and Safari 5.0.5.
Did not have Speed Download or anything like that installed.
Any suggestions?

When I give a download commond for any file, saving bar itself is not showing
when try to give command to download any file, saving bar or open doesn't show at all, I mean if I have open & see any download file at least it has ask for open or saving option should be given, earlier this problem was not there.
Do you mean this? Tools > Options > General : Downloads : "Always ask me where to save every file"

Cannot download from safari any files.
Hope someone can help, I'm unable to download any files, get the spinning wheel then a plain dark grey screen, then it times out. I checked my internet plug ins and i don't have any third party plug ins. I've also trashed my downloads plist but no joy. Finally I have also tried changing the download location to desktop, then changing back to downloads, but still no luck. Has anyone else had the same trouble? I cannot even download firefox as an alternative because it won't even allow me to download this file. I'm running most up to date version of snow leopard and safari 4. Really stuck please help thanks.
Well, you went a bit overboard on removing things. You definitely need these for Safari to run properly:
JavaPluginCocoa.bundle
nsIQTScriptablePlugin.xpt
Quartz Composer.webplugin
QuickTime Plugin.plugin
The others are all optional, depending upon what other software you may have installed. One or a combination of them is probably the cause of the inability to download files in your user account, but unless you installed them in the new user account you created, it doesn't explain downloads not working in that account.
Try adding the Internet Plug-Ins back one at a time, starting Safari and testing for the problem each time, then quitting and adding another one and repeating the process until you're unable to download a file. That last item added back is one of the culprits, and if you still have more you haven't added back for testing, one or more of them could also be contributing factors.
You may have a version that is simply incompatible with Snow Leopard, so you should check the site for a compatible version and install that. If there is no compatible version, you'll have to do without it until there is one. -

All itunes music is AAC. You can use the help feature in itunes to learn to convert to MP3 if that is what you are talking about. -

I am not able to see the standard ALV toolbar to download the output to an Excel or local file..etc.
I placed my ALV container on a screen below some I/O text boxes in display mode only.
I also need to download the I/O text boxes.

Could you verify that in the layout the no_toolbar option is equal to space.

PD. The standard download button of the ALV, its only going to work for the data on your internal table. In order to download all the data of the screen you are going to need to program the button functionality yourself.
Add a button to the toolbar and in the user_command do something like this (to export to excel).

When downloading a song from the internet... it goes to a temporary folder and then it dissapears from itunes after a few days, is there a setting that I can change to modify this behavior??
ThanksNo, but I'm surprised it takes a few days to disappear.
Many programs use this method - create a temp file to make sure the whole thing gets downloaded, then move it to the final location, and finally delete the temp file. -

I was pointing out how much easier it is to get music on the device by syncing with the computer, particularly as you can put loads on at once.
Re-installing the OS to the latest version should give you the best chance of attaining your goal.
In the guides it says to do a backup. Do this if you haven't already done so saving the file to a place and in a name that you can easily locate on computer.
I then uninstalled DTM and then deleted all other references to BB/Rim in Windows Explorer thus removing the OS for the BB from the computer in order to ensure that the version I would reinstall would be a brand new downloaded version.

How to disable Auto Play of downloaded music?
Whenever I download music from a file delivery service, it automatically opens in iTunes. How can I disable a music file automatically opening in any application when I download it? I've checked Settings, and preferences for Safari, iTunes, Finder, etc. But can't seem to find the place to disable auto opening of music files.
Open the General tab of Safari's preferences and set it not to automatically open safe files. This applies to more than just music.

I just would like to completely reset my MAC. I dont want to have to download or purchase a software to download, and I dont quite understand what the time machine is supposed to do if you have not been told to use if before. Shouldn't mac have some type of in home software already installed? And how can I completely restore my mac back to its original system?
1: Connect a external powered drive like a Firewire or USB drive. If you question the drive format or need to format it, first do that in Disk Utility before transfering any files to the drive. MSDOS, FAT32 or exFAT is best for any Windows or Mac to access the files.
2: Transfer your files manually by dragging and dropping your Users Folders like Pictures, Movies, Documents and Music (do not use TimeMachine!!) Eject the drive and disconnect from the computer.
3: Next insert the cd that came with your computer and reboot holding c
4: Two screens in is a menu option called "Utilities" select Disk Utility.
5: On the left is your internal boot drive, select it and Erase > Format HFS+ Journaled > Security Option > Zero All Data. Wait about a hour or so until it's finished.
6: When it's done, quit and your back in the installer again, install OS X and when finished, shut down.
The next time the computer reboots, it will go through the "welcome" video and the initial setup, just like a new Mac. -

from the Actions on the left, drag Filter Finder Items over to the column on the right
Where it says Any Content, select Kind

Drag Move Finder Items over to the rightfor To: select other, and navigate to your user folder > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Automatically Add to iTunes
