Download my Muse site from Business Catalys

I accidentally deleted my Adobe Muse website on my computer but It is in Business Catalyst. Is there anyway I can download it from Business Catalyst?

Hi Crease,
Unfortunately it is not possible to export your Business Catalyst site as a .Muse file - Muse only communicates with Business Catalyst in one direction, Business Catalyst does not output feedback back to Muse. However it is possible to export your site as HTML, CSS, etc using an FTP client as mentioned in the following articles: http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/kb/connecting-your-site-using-ftp.html & http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/203/bc_2038.html.
Cheers.

Can you let me know if its possible to import a muse site from Business catalyst in to Dreamweaver? I have published a site using Muse to Business catalyst but would like to use FTP in dreamweaver to administer and edit.

I think you could but you wouldn't like what you see in Design View.   Why do you want to do this?

  • Integrate my Muse site in Business Catalyst

    Hello,
I am considering hosting my website to BC.
I created my website with Muse and I would like to use the BC's CMS features on it. Do I have to recreate the whole website with BC or I can "import" my Muse's website into BC's template ?
    Thanks
    Esther

    Hello,
Business catalyst itself is a CMS, and you can most certainly create a site on Muse and bring it to Business catalyst, by publishing it to Business catalyst, so there is no need to recreate it all in Business catalyst. However, all the editing that needs to be done, should be done in Muse. This is because any edits done to the site in Business catalyst will not reflect to the site file in Muse and there is no way to take the changes made to the site in Business catalyst back to Muse to edit or work on them.
If you don't wish to make any changes to the site from Business catalyst, you can make changes to the site in Muse and re-publish to Business catalyst, and the changes would take effect. So basically, the changes made to the site can be taken to Business catalyst, but the opposite is not true.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,

  • Launch my site from Business Catalyst

Hello everyone, I'm new here and recently I built my website in Muse.
To Launch my new site from Business Catalyst and link it to my domain name,  do I need to subscribe to Business Catalyst and Muse?
    Thanks

    Hi
You can published the site to BC directly from Muse , if you are subscribed to creative cloud then you don't need to subscribe BC separately.

  • I wish to download a Muse Site I did not create , using Muse. How may I do this?

I wish to download a Muse Site I did not create , using Muse. How may I do this?
    Thank you.

    Ok once again.
Let's assume a friend using Muse creates a site using his PC and publishes it.
It’s now a hosted site created in Muse.
Let’s also assume he wishes to have me work on the Muse created website which he created and published using Muse.
Can I use my copy of Muse  on my PC , a PC different than my freinds, to download the site my friend created so I may work on it in my copy of Muse?
    It can’t be done right?

  • Download MUSE site from web and back into Muse?

I messed up my MUSE site on my computer. A clean copy is on the web site online.
I tried to download that clean copy to a new directory, but MUSE will not open it.
How do I put my muse site back into MUse after uploading it?
    (Insert many swear words here)

    Hi,
You cannot open html pages or css files in Muse. Right now Muse only supports .muse file format.
Please let me know if you have any other query.

  • Deactivate a muse site from domain

    Hi there,
I created an adobe muse site and hosted it with a Go Daddy domain for my sister. It became too hard for mw to always maintain the site so my sister created another site but still wants to keep the domain name for her new site. How do I deactivate the current site from its domain name?
    Kindest regards,
    Hannah Stanton

You would need to delete the domain associated with your site and then add the domain to new site. You can call Godday support team for help.
    Thanks,

adobe muse trial from adobe application manager im getiting error, 12152

Some users have reported issues with Internet Explorer 9 although it does not appear to be consistent.  It is likely due to the security settings, install add-ons, or plug-ins which are causing the download button to not be available.

  • Launching a Muse site on Business Catalyst,

I am very new to this and my organization is trying to launch a new site. We have it all built with Muse and on Business Catalyst now, but what do I need to do with our old site on another server first before adding the Domain name we have to Business Catalyst?

Once you add the domain to Business Catalyst and finish all the DNS delegation steps listed in the article for launching a site on BC, your old site will no longer load and users will go to the new BC site.  Your old hosting then could be discontinued with whichever vender you used. Be aware that DNS can sometimes take 24 hours to fully propogate so you should wait to make sure that things are all loading properly.  -j

  • How can I download my Muse site.

Somehow my offline-saved copy of my Muse site has gotten all fouled up. In my saved copythe web pages are no longer being based on the master page even though I saved the page that I last uploaded via FTP and it looks great online. I'm wondering if there is a way to import my website into muse and see if this help? Could this be a Muse problem? should I delete muse and redownload it?

There isn't a way to import your live site into Muse (other than the changes you do via BC IBE).
If the pages don't appear to be inheriting Master page content, please check in Plan mode that you have the Master page associated to the content pages through their context menu -> Masters.
    Thanks,
    Vinayak

  • Trouble hosting muse site with Business Catalyst

I built a site with muse and am hosting with BC(creative cloud subscription). The original site is kittlesoncreekpress.businesscatalyst.com, trying to publish to www.kittlesoncreekpress.com but I get a 404 error when I try to publish. The namesservers are set correctly with domain registrar.
    HELP!!!
    Thanks so much!

    Hello Tony,
When I tried to access kittlesoncreekpress.com, the URL that came up is http://www.kittlesoncreekpress.com/www.kittlesoncreek.com
Notice the www.kittlesoncreek.com after the domain name.
I have checked all the settings on the business catalyst end for the site kittlesoncreekpress.businesscatalyst.com, and they seem fine. The domain has been added correctly, the nameservers are fine as well. Please check if there is some fowarding etc. applied to the domain from the registrar's end.
    Cheers

  • Downloading existing iWeb site from server

I have a site hosted on an independent (non-Apple) server and accessed via FTP. The site was designed in iWeb but I lost the version on my Mac when a HD failed. Is there any way to download the on-line version into iWeb, so that I can make amendments and update it?

    None of the above.
iWeb is a one way street. You publish your pages but you cannot get them back into iWeb.
Unless you have a copy/backup of the domain file, you'll have to start from scratch. Usually by copy/pasting the text and images from your published webpages.
The domain.sites2 file is located at:
    ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/
Where ~ is your Home directory.

    Great!
I hope that you will integrate Muse and BC as soon as possible in a way that our clients can edit all their sites / pages via Muse by using In-Browser Editing tool. I understand that there are many challenges but this could be our common goal.

  • Can't publish my Muse site to business catalyst

When I try to publish my site, I receive an error:  SHARED UNKNOWN ERROR 80.  I'm very frustrated.  I was receiving help and have a case # but no way to contact again

I am not sure that error 21 is the same as the authentication error 80.  The suggested solution for error 80 worked for me.  At first I confused closing the application with the 'Sign out' or the 'Quit' option in File.  The Adobe ID and the application Muse aren't synched so quitting each and then reopening works.  I've had to do this several times as I worked.

  • My company's default browser is IE 8 - is hosting a Muse site on Business Catalyst a bad idea?

I've created a site, and we are currently in pre-production. Our IT department says that it must be compliant with IE 8, as that is our standard across the company. I looked at the site in IE 8, and it looks fine, but in reading the tech specs for Adobe CC it says that:
The Creative Cloud website is designed to work optimally in the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. The site should degrade gracefully on older browsers; you may have trouble using certain features on those older versions. Internet Explorer 8 and earlier are not supported.
So now I'm wondering if I need to go find some old program to work with IE 8... any direction would be lovely!

If the users of your company are viewing the site in IE 8 and it works fine you should be fine, however, I am not sure if the BC Admin (or the Creative Cloud site) will work in IE 8. As long as they do not need to access those you should be fine if your site works in IE 8.
On a side note: tell the IT department they should upgrade to a real browser. It would benefit the entire company as many, many companies and sites are dropping support for IE 8. It is such an outdated browser. If they are still using Win. XP then tell them to use Firefox or Chrome. (I know it is much easier said than done, but it never hurts to encourage them. =>  )
