Download Nokia Multimedia Transfer 1.4 Beta

Download Nokia Multimedia Transfer 1.4 Beta from http://europe.nokia.com/A4423135
1.4 is intended for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) only. It features a new method for selecting the content to be transferred, various performance improvements, and a new user interface for settings.
Requirements:
a) For NMT 1.4 Mac OS X 10.5.5 or higher
b) iTunes 8 and iPhoto 6 or higher
A compatible Nokia device. Please check the compatibility list.

For me it is really a big surprise new versions will be for Leopard only. I don't think upgrading to Leopard is a must for existing users (I am using Tiger).

Just a note for people who are as non observant as I was and who might find this useful...
My Nokia 6700 slide wouldn't sync, no matter what I did and even when I installed:
    http://www.novamedia.de/en/mac-isync-plugins.html
    or wrote my own plugins...
For some reason, by default, my Nokia came with Sync settings disabled on the phone.
So to remedy this, go to:
    Settings > Connectivity > Sync >
And select all the things you want to sync before you run iSync.  I missed this in the manual, I spent about 8 hours trying to fix it and all to no avail until I found this simple ommission.
Also, if you need to uninstall the nokia isync plugin, just go to:
    /Library/PhonePlugins
    and delete the relevant files.
    Hope this is useful.

  • N8 AND NOKIA MULTIMEDIA TRANSFER

I was unable to connect my N8 with NMT. As per support webpage it is supportedby Nokia Multmedia Transfer for mac.http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/nokia-multimedia-transfer/download.
This is what you need to do if you have problem to connect N8 & NMT:
    1. Connect the device to Mac
    2. Launch NMT from the menu bar.
    3. Click tools and settings and then check for updates. It will download the device profile for N8.
    4. Then quit NMT and disconnect the device.
    5. Connec the device and lauch NMT. It should be connected now.
If its not showing any message that new device profile has been updated, then you can download the N8 device profile manually.
    Go to https://www.nmtapp.com/profiles-14/n8.profile
This should offer to pull down the profile manually
Then save this file HDD/Library/Application Support/Nokia Multimedia Transfer/Profiles/
    Hopefully this helps

  • New update for Nokia Multimedia Transfer

Just noticed that NMT has an update. I was on v1.4.2 (8184), it's now v1.4.2 (8192). Not sure what the diffs are though. You still don't get to download this directly from the Nokia website (currently still listing v1.4.1 beta), but the update is available through an already installed NMT.

    Hi jcourcoul,
Yes, N86 is supported by the Nokia Multimedia transfer 1.4. Check the compatibility list in www.nokia.com/mac.
For the isync support, N86 is supported by isync. But you need to download the plugin in order to make it work. Download the isync plugin for N86 8MP from the link. http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/isync/compatibility-and-download.
Please follow the how to section to get percise information.
    Cheers

  • Strange behavior in Nokia Multimedia Transfer

    Hi,
I tried to use Nokia Multimedia Transfer as workaround for the missing Podcast in E52. So I subscribed in iTunes to Video and Audio Podcasts.  So I marked the Podcass folder in Device Settings.
    Now the strange things:
    1.    The Audio Player on E52 does show under Playlist "Podcasts", it has the right number of items in this little field left hand beside. But when I go inside it is empty, even after using Options "Refresh Library". But it works in general as these number of items beside the folders, for Podcasts as well, were updated.
When I use the filemanager I find under "Audio File" / "iTunes Playlists" a file Podcast.m3u. Touching it shows the audio podcasts expected. I can play them, but didn't find the real files anywhere.
    2.    The Video transfer is not related to iTunes playlists. Just any video marked will be transferred.(But shown properly in RealPlayer properly and playable from there)
Could anybody help and explain how to transfer properly the audio podcasts so the will be shown and properly playable in E52 audio player?
Is there any option to restrict transfer in NMT to playlists similar to audio files?
    Thx in advance
    cheers

Also, anyone else getting this dialog

Easy to fix. Simply config it via adding some settings. Any settings will do and it will go away.  Also, get a look at Salling Media Sync. There is a free version and a paid version (I use this one) that performs a bit better than NMT in my opinion. NMT has never really worked correctly. The current version is better though.

  • How can I uninstall Nokia Multimedia Transfer?

How can I uninstall Nokia Multimedia Transfer? The system tells me, that it is running, so it can't be uninstalled, but it is not running. It may be running somewhere on background, but I am not able to find it. I tried this "Force terminate application...", but it's not on the list. I tried Appzaper, which also says, that the application is running...

    Like any other program.

  • N97 & Nokia Multimedia Transfer

Hi, Just bought the N97 and I run a completly mac based household.  I want to sync all my calendar, contacts, music, photos and videos.  Nokia Multimedia Transfer works great for my wife's N96 but the N97 is not supported.
1st question.. When will the N97 be supported.
2nd Question.  Anyone suggest another product.  I don't want to use a web based product as my internet connection is not good enough and the amount of data that I transfer is huge..

Yes, another frustrated new N97 owner with an empty 32Gb card hungry for music.
I've just exhausted all options including:
    1) Updating Nokia Multimedia Transfer - which now just crashes as soon as the menu opens from the menu bar,
    2) iTuneMyWalkman - which just hangs saying 'collecting data from iTunes'
    3) Salling Media Sync which worked once so I bought it and then hasn't worked since. I never received a license number so I hope they are going to give me a refund. This application may work but just dumps all the songs in the same folder without sorting them into folders. A monkey could do that by dragging the tracks directly from iTunes into a folder on the phone's Mass Storage card.
I'm a bit sick of being a Mac pariah! I spoke to somebody at Nokia today (about something completely unrelated) who said that he didn't realise that it was impossible to update a phone's firmware with a Mac.
Do Nokia simply expect that all Mac users are just going to buy iPhones or something?
If Apple had this attitude to Windows users there would be a significant difference in its sales of iPods and iPhones.

  • Nokia e7 and multimedia transfer for mac

i have nokia e7 , and i want to transfer my multi media file to my macbook pro. the website are recommend me to use a multimedia transfer for mac. i download it and i find that my mac can not be paired with e7. is it because i do it wrong or is nokia multimedia transfer for mac does not support for e7 ?
thank you so much for letting me know about the solution for this problem
    Solved!

Well I have no one to blame because I'm not a Mac user, but with the number of complaints I would say Nokia, don't have the technical knowledge, but I can't imagine it would be a major problem to get some compatibility with a Mac via Ovi suite, also as the E7 is virtually identical software wise to N8, and anything 'N8' I've put on mine has worked, it should be compatible with Ovi for Mac, surely not a major coding issue ?

  • Multimedia transfer on mac

I got a new macbook pro and Im trying to get it to work with my nokia x6 32gig just like it did with my old macbook, but everything keeps failing on me. I've read all the discussions about it and nothing helps. I've downloaded the multimedia transfer software and uptaded it to the newer beta version and when I try to "add device" I follow the whole procedure to the end and still nothing works. its getting frustrating. I had some trouble with my old mac as well, but at least I somehow got it to work, but now I simply cant figure out what I'm doing wrong. the NMT tells me that the device has been added and that I can start transfering music, photos etc. but my phone does not appear under the NMT when I connect the phone. And I am not a moron, I'm connecting it in PC-suit mode! But I'm also aware that the NMT does NOT support the x6 although several people on the boards have gotten it to work. Please help or I'll be forced to sell the phone, I need my music on it asap!
    Thanks in advance
    // Phil

I don't know anything about mac, but shouldn't your mac find the device if you connect it in mass storage mode? - If it does, you should be able to drag and drop pictures and music over to it?

I think Nokia has updated NMT. If you are running NMT 1.3, you can check for updates from within the application which will bring the latest version of the application down but Still NMT 1.3 Beta.
But the web site has NOT been updated yet(Still no support for N78).

  • 6085 profile for Mac Multimedia Transfer?? Music ...

Has anyone come up with a tweak so that the MMT program will work with the 6085 phone?
I was able to install a special profile for iSync so that works like a charm with the phone, but what about the Multimedia Transfer program?
Also, when I transfer an MP3 or Mp4 via bluetooth, the 6085 assumes it's a Tone rather than a song. I end up having to move the file to the music folder, but even then it takes a while before it shows up in the music manager. (I've had to run the update library several times, or just wait a while-- turn phone off and on.)
Is there any way of changing that behavior so that it knows the MP3 should be a song?
    Great phone, by the way!

    Hi,
There is a new update for Nokia Multimedia Transfer, please check my post from the link /discussions/board/message?board.id=pcsuite&thread.id=39969
This supports the Nokia 5530 device and also the workaround fix for the photos issue which was causing with snow leopard.
Isync also supports the device, download the isync plugin for the device from  http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/isync/compatibility-and-download
Visit the how to section for connecting your device and syncing with mac addressbook ical and safari.
    Cheers

  • PC Suite v.7 missing Nokia Multimedia Player

I've upgraded from PC Suite v.6.86.9.3 til 7.0.7.0, based upon a message from PC Suite that an upgrade was available. It's on a Vista machine (Ultimate, fully updated), and the phone model is 6300.
No problems connecting (via USB) - but where is my 'Nokia Multimedia Player', so that I can play back my voice recordings (in the amr-format)?
I've read in a previous User Manual, that that application (plus Image Store, and Nokia Music Manager) are not included in "Nokia PC Suite Starter Edition". But how did I (possibly - I can't see that this is the fact anywhere) get to download this 'Starter' edition? I followed normal download procedures (for the English version).
Yes, it seems I can download 'Nokia Multimedia Player' separately (I've found it on the Net, though not on Nokia.com). Or I can play the recordings through 'Media Player Classic', but I'd like to play the recordings directly when connected, rather than having to transfer the files first.
Possibly I've overlooked an option in one of the now existing applications within PC Suite. So would someone please let me know if they've come up with a solution to playing amr-files within PC Suite v.7.
    Thanks..

Seems that Nokia Multimedia Player was comletely removed from PC Suite install package Is it a mistake or not - who knows? And, BTW, I can't find a download link for separate Nokia MMP on Nokia's site... What's going on?!
P.S. Going back to Nokia PC Suite v6.82.21
