Download objects in request (smaller file)
Hello,
I´ve tried a couple of times to download the transport requests in files, because there´s no RFC-connection from the german system to the english system. When I get the file, it contains less bytes than the stated amount in column Length.
Example: 60,655 bytes and resulting file is only 47,729 Bytes
When my System Administrator sends me the files, he gets 60,655 Bytes so I´d like to know what I´m missing.
I make double click on the file, SAP delivers unreadable characters and then List --> Save/Send -->File and option Unconverted.

I don't see any download option for change requests with data.
Copying Cofile and Datafile at OS level, won't require any RFC, you have to do it manually.
After files copied in the target server, goto STMS in the target sap system and goto Extras ---> Other requests -
> Add and enter the request number.
Now if this method is not there, your admins might be importing requests at OS level, using tp command.
tp import <reques number> <SID> client<client no.> pf =<tp profile path and file name>
Ask them.

Thanks.simply create and release a transport with the desired objects, then just copy the cofile and datafile from the source system to the traget system and import.
You'll find the cofile at /usr/sap/trans/cofile with format <sid>K<numbeer> and the datafile at /usr/sap/trans/data with format <sid>R<number>. Copy these file to the same directories at the target system and the just go to STMS -> Extras -> Add -> insert the transport number -> Import.

I bought creative suite cs6 standard student and teacher edition and the download did not work properly - files appear incomplete/ or damaged. File size seems very small for a product of this size. Can you assist with download issue or provision of software ?

Safari is taking way too long to download small files
Hello! So, recently I've been noticing that when I download relatively small files (around 5-10 MB) Safari is taking 15 minutes to download them. I wanted to know if there was anything I can do to speed things up, as up until this point, the browser had been downloading these files in seconds.
Thanks in advance!Hi Alishadarling ! i suggest clearing safaris cache. i know that can really slow it down. if that does nothing download Firefox just to test download speeds. if both of those don't work go to http://www.speedtest.net/ it will tell you your internet connection speed if it rates at 1-2 MB/s then you have slow internet. if it is in the 15-100 range then try updating to mavericks its free and see if it does anything. thanks, TMNTTurtleman

I am trying to download previous versions including Major and Minor versions of documents from SharePoint Online using CSOM. I get 404 error when I try to download the file. I found several posts on various discussion forums where people are getting same
error but none of those have any solution/answer. Below is one of the threads and sample code I have tried that results in 404 error. If I use the link in browser directly, I am able to download the file. Also I am able to download the current version of file
using CSOM without any problem, it is only the older versions that give me 404 in CSOM.

System Software Update - smaller files?
I am having problems with our Internet connection at work. File download is slow. Every time I try to update the system software, it takes half an hour, gets within about 2 MB, then it seems to quit and gives me a red "!" in the software update.
In the bad old days of slow downloads, Apple used to make large downloads available in smaller files that could then be stiched together. I looked and can only find the 170 MB Mac OS X update (I just upgraded to 10.4 from 10.3.9).
Any way to download smaller files?Unfortunately not. Find a local computer store with broadband, or a library where you can download on high speed internet, or ask a friend who has high speed internet to help you. If you have an Apple retail store or a user group nearby, or an authorized service center, they may let you use their store network to download the file and burn it to disk, or put it on a thumb drive.

Access jsp's application object from an .java file?

I hava a .jsp page and an import statement to a .java file. How can I access the application object in this .java file?
I want to make an initialization function that I want to be called in every .jsp of the WEB application and to store this function in a .java file.The only way to get a hold of the application object would be to pass it to java code as a parameter to a method.

You could manually include this code on every JSP.
A better alternative is that in web.xml you can configure an automatic include (See JSP.3.3.5)
What is it you are trying to accomplish by doing this?
Would a Filter be a more appropriate tool in this case? That would let you run java code before selected requests are handled.

Download into tab delimited text file
Hi all
I am uploading data from a text file with tab delimited.
For some reason if the record doesnot satisfy the criteria i cannot upload the record .
In the program i am moving those records into another internal table and deleting from the actual that i ausing to update the ztable.
I need to download those fault records into another text file with tab delimited space with the same format so that they can correct those records and upload again.

HTTP PUT Request for File Uploads is returning a response header with content-length = 0
After upgrading from CF9 to Coldfusion 10, I'm running into an odd issue, with `cURL` calls to a webservice that used to work.
We are using an HTTP PUT Request with multipart="no" so that the request header content is the file itself, now the data is being sent properly in the content but it has a ~8k limit. This is fine for smaller files but some files are 60kb etc.
Errors are odd too, near the 8KB limit we get a bad gateway error 502, and above that the webpage errors with a connection reset.
It works fine with multipart="yes", but in a PUT request the file's data isn't even sent since it's looking for `httpparam formField` , the content-length from the target page's Headers show a content-length of 0 which causes `cURL` to fail with an error (56): http://curl.haxx.se/docs/manpage.html

Dumping the response via GetHttpRequestData() shows that the header's content-length = 0 and content is blank.
Whereas POST requests work fine, cURL has a -F form option which is our fallback but a solution to this would be great.
Here's what I've tried:
1. Changing CF post request limit sizes (64MB+)
2. Changing IIS config web/webserver http runtime and security.request filtering request limits to much higher values
3. AJP Connector between IIS and Tomcat has a default 8KB header limit, I changed that to 64k on both sides, still nothing
Also am I missing something fundamental here? I thought at the network layer a packet is split up and rejoined, so large content in a http request body should work, what's wrong with Coldfusion 10?I am familiar with java.net package and know how to

Also you have to setDoOutput(true).
Then you set the content type, possibly encode the input, set the content length, and write the file data to the stream.
Using a Jakarta package may be easier, however. -

Save Small file PDF without Pixelation in Illustrator cs4
I need to send a small file size PDF proof to a client via email. But When i resample is to descrease the file size it becomes pixelated. Is there anyway to decrease the file size without sacrificing the picture quality through Adobe Cs4?
In order to produce a smaller PDF file in Illustrator (or any other app) you have to lower the images quality, assuming you are using images (as you mention pixelation). The option to compress text and line art artwork already comes activated by default, so that leaves you with the settings for color and greyscale images. You have two different settings, resolution (PPI ) and Jpeg compression level (Image Quality). If the file is meant to be viewed on the screen only up to 100% size, you can lower the resolution to 100 ppi, if it is going to be printed in an office printer, you need at least 150 ppi on the images. On the Jpeg compression level (Image Quality) I never go bellow "Medium" because the Jpeg compression artifacts get too visible (depending on the images, sometimes even Medium gets a little noisy). If with these settings the file still is to big (assuming you have turned off the "Preserve Illustrator Editing capabilities" option already) you have two choices: If it is a multipage file, split the file into several PDF files with a few pages each and send those in separate mails. Or, if it is a single page file, subscribe to a free online storage account (e.g. Sugarsync.com) and upload the file there and send a link of the file to the client so that he can download it from his computer (I always do).
