Download of latest arrives, can't install

Can't install the latest version, after it arrives, click to run file it stops. Running Windows Vista [SP2] using Mozilla Firefox. Keep getting this:

Could you please check if ActiveX is disabled?

Also, ensure that Flash Player is enabled in Internet Explorer.

Two users on computer - each must download Adobe Flash & wife can't install as not the Administrator.

Firefox 6.0.2, Win7.
After I download Adobe Flash Player on my user account (administrator) and 'switch user' or 'log off' Adobe Flash is not installed in my wife's account (test by trying to view youtube.com). As Administrator, I can download Adobe Flash in her account, verify with Youtube, log off or switch users and sign in to my account - Adobe is 'not there' as verified by Youtube. In either account, Flash is in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash but Firefox 'can't find.' Note - say some discussion that SysWOW64 is 64 bit and Adobe Flash is 32. Is Shockwave Flash part of the issue? Thanks

Install program - takes about 2 seconds! Very easy fix!

When I read the docs (at least the part I read), it said I needed a server to hold the Yum packages. Can that be Oracle's site? Oracle Public Yum Server
Also, when I looked at the Oracle download site there were a ton of different version. I understand that, but what I didn't get was why they said update. That made me think there was a master iso somewhere I needed first. Are the "update" versions the entire OS?
Example, Oracle Linux Release 6 Update 4 Media Pack for x86 (32 bit)
On mirrored sites they have it as a single simple iso, which is what I'm used to seeing.

Yes, you can use oracle's public yum site
yes, the "update" are full installations.
BTW, I'm surprised to see OL 6 even available in 32-bit. I would be surprised to find 32-bit hardware still being made when OL6 was released. Even with it (32-bit linux) available, why would anyone install it?

Appears I have downloaded the latest version of itunes, but stays the same

I have been trying to update to the latest version of itunes, and after I click on "download version 11" it quickly says "thank you for downloading the latest software". No install process appears to happen, and i go to open itunes and its still a previous version. I have tried updating through the control panel as well, but it has not worked. I can't seem to connect to my son's itouch with the current version on my pc.

I can't install an older version of flash player and the new one won't work.

I've read on the boards everyone says to run the Adobe uninstaller prior to trying to install the older version and I did, but the download still says it can't install the older version because it isn't the current version. And the current version isn't running on my computer. All I have is a black screen. I need the adobe flash player to for work purposes and it is really hindering my ability to function at work without it. Can someone please provide some kind of help that may actually work? Because I've uninstalled and reinstalled this several times. I have tried adjusting settings...everything I have found on the boards so far.

My experience (going back to a G5 iMac in 2005) is that you MUST install the lower version first in order to run two different versions on the same machine. I did it that way with CS and CS3, then CS3 and CS4, and later on my MacBook with CS4 and CS5. Now my Mini has CS5.5 and CS6, but I've always had to install the lower CS version first or the higher would keep the lower from installing.
So you will probably have to remove CS4 and then reinstall them both in the proper order.
Is there any particular reason you want or need both? In my case, I already had CS 3 and installed CS4 in addition, but later removed CS3 as I found CS4 was able to do everything CS3 did and then some. In fact I'm unaware of anything aside from some older filters that would run better in CS3 than CS4.

Somehow, a Backups.backupdb folder got created on your startup drive.
You won't find it via a Spotlight or Finder search, so open your internal HD via the Finder.
That folder is at the top level. Just delete it.

The bootcamp drivers have been downloaded from apple's website. Filename: BootCamp5.0.5033
I have a iMac 27" late 2013 model.
NOTE: I have downloaded the drivers manually from apples support site as the bootcamp wizard fails third of the way through the download.

There is a missing point in this thread, and it is that the Boot Camp drivers for the Late 2013 iMac can only be downloaded from Boot Camp Assistant. The Boot Camp drivers available in the Apple site are not compatible with that iMac.
Delete the Boot Camp drivers from the USB drive, open Boot Camp Assistant and try to download the Boot Camp drivers again. If you get a message telling you that they could not be downloaded, I would try reinstalling OS X through OS X Recovery, by holding down Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
