Organizing files and folders
If you want to add more folders to set up an organizational scheme, here's how to create a new folder:
Make the Finder active (click the desktop, click inside any Finder window, or click the Finder icon in the Dock).
From the File menu, choose New Folder; a new "untitled folder" icon appears in the active Finder window.
Name your folder by simply typing a name in the highlighted text box next to the folder icon.
Or, you can simply press the Shift-Command-N key combination.
To organize your files and folders, drag any file, folder, or application that you want into your new folder, or drag the folder into any other folder to establish an organized hierarchy.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Well I have an update. I decided to stay as I was so far down the road. They gave me an engineer appointment of 14 of August which was totally disgusting.
I rang up to complain and was promised a call back as they tried to expediate my request. Never happened.
Whilst on these calls I also questioned the validity of sending another engineer unless they first checked that my local cabinet hard an available fibre port. I was promised and promised that they would put the notes on the call and it would not be a wasted engineer visit.
Engineer came today. Wasted visit - no ports on the cabinet.
He was not even sure why he was sent there knowing there were no ports. Talk about the blind leading the blind.
The incompetency of this corporation is absolutely astounding even when their customers are telling them they are going to fail they lie to your face just to appease you on the phone and move you on.
So I ordered my switch from sky to BT on June 6th.. and so far all I have is a phone line.
On top of this I noticed that they have charged me a late payment fee by DD and full line rental for first month. BT were so slow at installing it all that my up front line rental apparently did not cover their initialy switch over. Despite telling me I would not be charged I have been charged.
Now as a web designer I am now tempted to create basic website and use my SEO skills to push it to top of google rankings sharing with everyone of my experience of BT.

I have PC desktop on which IE has died and I can't fix whatever I try. I have a Macbook so want to download FF for the desktop onto a memory stick to transfer (no other means of getting it on to the DT). But the mozilla website automatically wants to give me the Mac version!

Can you double click on them on the memory stick, see if preview opens them, then save them to your Mac?

Where to download Creative Suite CS6 Tutorial & Manuals

I'm finally able to take time to learn the programs in CS6 but have no idea where the tutorials or manuals are. I've checked all the folders that relate to Adobe CS6 and nothing. the online instructions and pop-up warnings while I'm working in the programs tell me to use controls and settings that I can't find.
Can I just download the manuals so I can browse them at leisure. I don't always have an internet connection, so online manuals aren't going to do the trick. Besides, they are no help in learning my way around these programs.

If the photos on the SD card are coming directly from a camera then they should be recognised. If you added the photos to the card yourself then the card needs to have a DCIM directory off its root, with the photos underneath it with filenames of exactly 8 characters (no spaces) plus their file extension.
You could try closing the Photos app completely and see if it then works after you re-open it. From the home screen (i.e. not with the Photos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Photos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Saving a converted Word document to a memory stick

My wife is a writer of both published books and ebooks. When I convert her PDF version back to a Word format, how do I save
the downloaded Word document to a Memory Stick so she can edits/updates on her own laptop?

Do it in two stages
1. Download the coverted file in the usual way.
2. Drag it to the memory stick in the usual way (Windows Explorer or Finder).

Before latest update of iTunes, I have always been able to copy a podcast downloaded to iTunes , into a USB stick for my car radio. I can't see how to do that anymore.
I have no similar problems with my iPhone and my iPad.
By the way. Is it possibly to play from iPhone or iPad into the car radio ?
With cable, BlueTooth or a third possibility???

Copy the file from iTunes or from Windows Explorer to the USB drive.
Nothing special and in no way involves or requires iTunes.

That depends entirely on the head unit in the vehicle and what it supports. Check the Owner's Manual for the vehicle or the head unit (if aftermarket).
