Download only new files?

Hi,
Is there an easy way to download only new files from the
server without having to go through and select the various folders?
My programmer changes a handful of files now and then, but I end up
selecting every folder that he might have touched every time...I'm
sure there is a more efficient way to do it? If so, is there a way
to exclude log files? They are huge, take forever to download and I
don't need them.

OS X uses a unique identifier so there will be no problems.

How to make BPEL File Adapter read only new files?

we have BPEL processes that define to run from bpel component - file adatper-
when a file come into location that it is path on the linux server . the bpel start run when "File Adapter" bpel component recognize that new file come to the location. its PollingFrequency define to 5. property name="DeleteFile" value="false" so the files remaine there.
we want to migrate the bpel to new SOA version so we did export and deploy to new SOA Domain.
the location of the file adapter is the same.
but when the BPEL processes deployed its start to run for all the files that are in this location- that the file adapter define on .
even the original soa tooks those files and start the BPEL processes for each one of them. also the new SOA that we did deploy to the BPEL processes take those files even if they are very old.
we want the file adatper we take only new files . the start point is the time when we do deploy to the process so if we do deploy in 10:00 am we dont want this bpel will take files from 9:00 or earlier time

After doing a system recovery my computer will no longer download any new files from the internet. from browsers to games I've tried it all. and nothing will download. it keeps coming up with a message that says that it can not find the file that im trying to use. so i was wondering what might be causing this and ho wi would fix this, if its possible to fix.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your Compaq Presario CQ57 Notebook and issues with installing drivers. First, try to click the Windows icon, type services in the Search box, and then click or tap View Local Services. Scroll down to the Windows Installer. Startup type should be - Automatic, and Service Status should be - started. Restart the computer after this step and try installing again. If this is not automatic and started that is why you can not install drivers.
Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase.

HT4101 downloading only JPEG files using SD card reader

I am new to Apple-iPad world,, mostly working on WinXP.
I am looking to buy a tablet to view photos while I'm on vacation and traveling. I shoot both RAW and JPEG files of each image. When I connect my SD card to an iPad Mini, I'd like to be able to download only the JPEG files, since the RAW files are too large and would quickly fill up my device.
I've been told that when you plug in the Apple SD card reader, it treats the RAW and JPEG files of an image as one, so when you download you have no choice to just select the JPEGs. Seems like a huge oversight on Apple's part, to offer camera and card connection, but then be so controlling about it, that it doesn't work for people. None of the 3-4 Apple sales reps I've spoken to know of a way around this.
At this point, I'm lookng at an Android tablet instead, since it doesn't have this limiting feature--though I much prefer the look and size of the iPad Mini screen. .
Has anyone else run into this issue? Any thoughts on a work-around?
(Two solutions that I've thought of--though I don't know if they will work--are: 1) download all of the images, then bring them up in a program like Snapseed, where I can save (really a 'save as') a new JPEG version of my image, then delete the original files that I downloaded, or 2) see if I can download a file manager app that would let me view the different files by size and by type (to identify the RAW files), then delete just these from me iPad)

So it seems I would need to first download the image files to my tablet--including RAW files--(or whatever the constraits are in working with the Apple SD card reader), and then after the fact, use PMP to delete just the RAW files.
I assume then that PMP can view the 'standard' photo folders (called 'Albums on my iPod) created by the Apple photo app (or by the iOS, I'm not sure), is that correct?
This might be an acceptable work-around for me.

Say, i have a file called file1 in a particular directory, i keep polling the same directory every "n" minutes or even seconds, and will try to fetch file1 only when there is a semaphore file called file1.ready exists for file1.
This is in Solaris.
How can this be implemented?. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at java.io.File which represents an abstract path such as a directory or file. You'll probably be particularly interested in File.exists().

you can use the file modified dates to figure out whats new and whats old.
May be you can compare them against the last time that you ran the process.

On-demand scanning for only new files or scan a list from a file

I run a free to use file hosting service and with it are the risks of abuse for malware. In the past I've used ClamAV with a bash script to search for any files that are as old or newer than X minutes, usually about 5 minutes and put the found files listed line by line in a file and ClamAV will scan those files only. Put on a Cron for every 5 minutes to run. ClamAV's detection is pathetic though and has not caught most of the stuff it has needed to find. So switching over to Sophos Linux, it has done a great job already detecting multiple files of the uploaded files folder that ClamAV had already missed in the past. It takes just 3 1/2 minutes for it to scan through 3500+ files and archives totaling 17 gigs. I have it set to scan the whole directory every 5 minutes. This takes a while, even if it is under 3 1/2 mins. Ideally I want Sophos to only scan new files so it can be set to run every minute, or every 5 minutes, whether that be from it's command line or via it reading a file list. This way newly uploaded malware is taken care of as fast as possible for the security of the end users. Here is the script file I use for Sophos already: #! /bin/bash

Using Automator to Copy Only New Files to a Destination Folder

Hello,
I need an AppleScript to copy a source directory (including all subfolders and files) to a destination folder, but one that checks for duplicate files and only copies files across from the source directory if they aren't already contained in the destination directory.
I have a script that checks the files, but it only copies files from the source directory and ignores all subfolders and the files within those.
Can anyone help?

Thanks, the "Set Value of Variable" concept is what I was missing. It almost works. The music files get moved, but then it says the workflow encounters a problem and the image files aren't being moved. I'm assuming it's an issue with steps 5-7. Thoughts?

How to download only NEW messages with Mail app in MacBook Air?

I added my hotmail account to the Mail App in my laptop and it downloads ALL of my emails every time I I click on Get Mail. Is there a way to progame it to do the same as in an iPhone or iPod Touch where you can configure it to show only the most recent emails?

How do I set my 3Gs to download only new email messages from my comcast account?

This is something I used to be able to do with my Treo, although I believe it was a date setting (ie. - mail sent for the last 1 day, 3 days, 5 days, etc...)
My iphone downloads up to how ever many messages (I am set to 50) irregardless of date sent. I often end up with old emails I do not want to see again and have already delete. IT becomes annoying having to delete messages over and over.

All i have done is right clicked the song > add to > '(Name)'s ipod' and normally my music will go to my ipod, but it didn't, is there a way to automatically set my music to download straight to my ipod instead of manually doing it

Each time I use Photodownloader it downloads all images , also those that were downloaded preveously

I share my card with my wife and she likes to download our images also on her PC, so erasing all images is not an option.
It seems that earlier version of adobe photo downloader has the feature "copy only new files" , but V10 does not.

Don’t you format the card in the camera after each download? That will wipe all images and prepare the card for a fresh shoot.

New files don't show

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me.
I've just had my macbook in for repairs, and they told me the motherboard needed replacing etc.
Anyway, I got it back today and everything seems fine except one small thing.
When I download a new file to my desktop or anywhere else for that matter it doesn't show up. If I search for it in spotlight it will find the files where they should be, or if I try to open the file through a prog. it can also see it, but that is the only way. I have also gone into the info and clicked "show extension" and that seems to work, but only for that individual file and not all of the invisible files as a whole.
Any idea what's happening and how I can fix it so that new files I add to my machine show up?

Payment Order (multiple) Idocs need to be downloaded into single file

Hello Gurus,
I am able to generate Idocs for Automatic Payment Run in F110 for message type PAYEXT with PEXR2002 idoc type. However, what I found is the system generates one idoc per vendor for a single payment method. So, for example if I run APP for 50 vendors at a time, 50 different idocs are generated and placed in AL11. Currently the requirement is to download the idocs into flat file and upload it in Bank's website. I would like to know is there any way to download all the 50 idocs into a single file (ie a single file containing payment run information for all vendors).
PS: I use CG3Y Tcode to dowload Idoc from AL11 mentioning the directory path but this can allow me to download only one file at a time.
Any Info regarding this would be appreciated.
