You can access SQL*Plus help from the command line in a SQL*Plus session by typing 'help index'. If you are on Windows, add the full path till the directory where you unzipped the "InstantClient" in your PATH variable.
1) Right click on "My Computer", which is either on the desktop or "Start" -> "My Computer" (depending on your version of Windows)
2) Click on "Advanced" tab and then click on "Environment variables".
3) Select "Path", click on "Edit" button, add the full path till the directory, keep clicking on "OK" till you exit.

If you are using a Unix flavor or Linux distro, you will have to set the "LD_LIBRARY_PATH" variable in your .profile.
In Linux, the .bash_profile is in your HOME directory (echo $HOME once you log in). Append something like the following to it:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=<full_path_of_the_directory_where_instant_client_has_been_unzipped>
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Same goes for the ".profile" of Unix boxes.
Thereafter, run the .profile/.bash_profile in the current shell or log out and log in again.

I've been searching for it on your behalf but with no luck. My old links no longer work so I think Oracle may have withdrawn it. I recommend you ask support because they can sometimes get you to access software that is not available on OTN.
You'll probably need to give a justification as to why you want the 10g download when 11g is available.

Oracle/ SQL Plus Username and Password troubles

Hello all
I have just download Oracle Database 10g Express Edition for Linux.
I downloaded it through the repositories and it installed it that way.
When i use the command 'connect' with SQL Plus i am required to enter a user name ans password.
What is the default user name and password, or where can i find it?

If yo uinstalled it, you needed to provide a password. Use that.

Looking to download Oracle Ent Mgr for SPARC 64 10g

I am looking to download Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g for SPARC 64 bit. When on the OEM download page I only see it available for 32 bit SPARC. Where would I download this from OTN?

Here is some inforation from Metalink of the cerification. So it is certified, plus it will outline exactly what I am looking to download.

Downloading Oracle Development Suite

Ok, I logged onto the Oracle Technology Network, Selected downloads/Oracle Development Suite 10g(9.0.4), checked off that I was not a subversive and was willing to sell my first-born if there were troubles, and got to the screen where I selected the "disk 1" download.
While that was loading, I closed the site and went off to do other work.
I dutifully finished and I returned to download Disk 2.
It got me to where I checked no I wasn't a subversive and yes, I was offering my first-born, and it then went to the last screen...
For about 5 seconds. It then returned to the subversive/first born screen.
I have done this several times over the last couple of hours, with two different browsers.
HELP!
Does anyone know anything about this?

1) You don't need the Oracle Developer Suite to get SQL*Plus. That comes with the Oracle client. The Developer Suite is for mainly Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports development primarily (JDeveloper is also included but that can be downloaded stand-alone)
2) On the same page that you download the Developer Suite, there is a link to documentation that walks you through the installation process.

I know this is no longer supported forms 6.0, however, I have an application which is running on forms 6.0 for solaris. Unfortunely, I lost the CD and I have to make some changes on this application. On the mininal changes if I can get back oracle forms 6.0 for solaris.

Oracle 8.6?!?!? I've been working with Oracle since 7.3 and never heard of 8.6. I see no record of any release of Oracle database going beyond x.2
You can't even download 10g without a paid-up support contract and a service request.
What is it you really need, and why do you think you need that version?

I can't download Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition for Solaris 32 bit. After filling out the form with the questions...I click on the actual link, but the box never pops up. The status bar on my Internet Explorer slowly increases, but never allows me to download. It just hangs. I have tried multiple times, and I can download other verions from your site...and have many times in the past. Could you please fix this. Thanks.

I think 8.0.5 is not available for download any more. Looks like you will have to go for 8i or 9i.

Hi, I have an iPhone 5s. I just downloaded the Hulu Plus app for my iPhone and in the app store it's as I can open it however when I hit open, it does not open in fact, nothing happens. Also there is no icon for Hulu Plus on my home screen so I'm confused as to what exactly to do I'm going to settings and there's only one thing that you can do which is reset. I tried that. nothing.

Have you restarted your phone?
If so, try a reset. Press and hold the home & sleep/wake buttons until the screen goes blank, ignoring the power off slider if it comes up.
Check for the app again after the phone starts back up.
