Download os lion 502 bad gate way
why i can't download os lion from app store... it said like this "The Server Gave an Error during donwload: 502 Bad Gateway"
someone plz help me....
Does Downloading form a different location help? I am trying to download Lion at work for work computers, in this case, this is not an option. Suggestions? solutions?

Hey everyone, I just got the new retina display macbook pro, and here is where the problem lays is with my old macbook pro. I am wanting to give it to my girlfriend, but want to wipe the computer clean so she can have the macbook the way she wants it. Your license for Mountain Lion (or any OS version purchased at the app store) is not transferable - you can use it on any Mac you own and control; however, someone else getting that machine means the recipient will need to purchase ML The SLA states that you must erase the drive and reinstall the original OS. You will need to call Apple for replacement install disks.
If you leave ML on the machine, the recipient will never be able to reinstall the OS since the new Apple ID and machine ID no longer match. -
I have been downloading Mountain Lion for MAC for over 4 hrs. and it seems to be stuck about 2/3 of the way through. I have a I mac that is only 2 yrs old has 8 GB memory and I updated all software, checked utilitie for any disc repairs andbacked up everything before I started this process. Can someone tell me what to do Right now the version is OSX 10.6.8.
Let it go... these DL's take forever, depending on the spped of your connection and the traffic on the servers.
If by morning it is still sitting there restart and the DL should pick up from where it left off. -
I am currently running 10.7.5 on my macbook. I tried downloading Mountain Lion application...but it says 'error'',,,is there another way to upgrade my OS?
First we need to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info (and then System Report if you’re running 10.7 Lion). When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard.
The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion.
The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion. -
My mac book pro crashed during an update a week ago. Since then I have been forced to fomat my macintosh HD drive and attempt to reinstall lion. Halfway through my download of lion, a grey screen pops up telling me to restart my computer. I do such and then nothing ever happens again, I am just brought back to disk utility every time. Why?!?!?!
You can go to the Apple online store and purcahse a copy of Mountain Lion. This will give you a redemption code, which you can use to download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Unfortuantely, I'm not aware of any other way to legally purchase it. I have never seen Apple release Muontain Lion on DVD.
In terms of Apple Service, they just need the serial number of the machine to check the purcahse date. It is usually correct, to within a few weeks. A quick Google search should give you the correct number to dial.

Trying to download Mountain Lion on Mac Mini currently running Lion 10.7.4. Computer is set to never sleep. When I check progress it says "waiting" under purchases on App store. What does this mean? Way too long to still be waiting. HELP
In the app store where it says waiting, do you get the option to "resume"?

Restart the router. Wait until all the lights are lit up properly.
Restart the Computer.
Reset PRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
Reset SMC. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Choose the method for:
"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
If this does not help, contact Apple.

Hi am trying to download os x mountain lion & keep gatting "502 bad gateway" error & will not let me download although I have logged in & paid.
I've also had this problem with iTunes movies rental & purchase. I'm not getting much love from Apple either!!
hoopefully some one nose their **** out there.WHAT???? I have to be notified when Shi%T like this happens…. This is not fair. I would have not uploaded anything and left it the way it is until your issues was resolved. When do you think you will have a resolution??

I have installed mountain lion on my early 2009 macbook (not unibody) and it is terrible, it's like owning a windows pc again (almost) What can I do? I paid for mountain lion, is there any way of giving it back and getting a refund? obvisoulsy after unintalling it. I couldn't see any reason why it would be bad for my particular macbook, and it downloaded without a problem.
In what way is it terrible? Mountain Lion is pretty stable. If you are having problems, most likely they are unique to your particular system and can be fixed. If you don't like some of the new features, that does not constitute reason for a refund.
If that does not suit you, you will have to discuss a refund with Apple, as they are the only ones who can say. Note that the App Store terms do say that all sales are final, so you are not guaranteed a refund, especially since whatever problems you had are not due to defective software. -
Why won't the App Store let me download Mountain Lion even though my system meets the requirements?

A look around the internet and my previous knowledge indicates this is not an issue with firefox, but with how the server that the app is run on is incorrectly configured. To test this, please install an old version of firefox. You can download an older version from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html then try to visit the website again. Please let us know if it turns out that it works with version 3.6 -
why would it state under the "more about this mac" that i already have10.8.3 and then in the app store say i need to "resume" do you know what i mean? is it possible i already did download mountain lion entirely once? I am confused and don't want it twice
This is cause by the way the App Store checks to see if an application is installed on your system.
Basically when an app is installed it is in the Applications folder and this is where the MAS looks for them. So it looks at your purchase history for the apps you bought and looks in the Applications folder to see if they are installed. If an app is in your purchase history but not in the Applications folder the MAS says you need to install it.
For normal apps this works fine but the OS doesn;t install into the Applications folder. So the MAS sees you have Mountain Lion in your purchase history but it's not in the Applications folder and so it says you need to download it.
Hopefully one of these days Apple wil fix this.

I own a Macbook Pro 2.3GHz core I5.
I have just downloaded OSX lion from the app store but I would like to completely reset my macbook.
I have the installation CD's but I was wondering if I could redownload OSX lion without having to pay for it again.
Also, I have a time machine backup of my computer but I would only like to restore certain files and not all of them.
Can Anyone help me with these questions.

then choose disk utility and format your disk
then choose reinstall lion
and it's back to default.
