We are currently at patchset 9 and we will upgrade to the latest patchset 15.
Just a question : previously I used to apply theses patches "patch by patch".
Can you confirm me that I can go and apply directly patch 15 over the patch 9 whithout applying 10,11,12...etc?

there's nothign wrong wiht ichat, at all. it works perfecly fine for me with video every time i ever try on aim with otu a problem. The only reason any ports wouldnt be working is because your firewall is blocking them (on yoru machine, or hardware .. or crappy router firewall software), or your router isnt routing the ports on incoming (and or outgoing) for those ports to the proper destination. I use iChat basicly daily with windows and os x users with video wiht out a *****, and i find it way better then AOL Instant messenger, teh actual program.
they didn't put any support because a lot of the drivers apple uses are propiatary, and ms jsut doesn't really care to be honest - mac users are a tiny share of thier market in thier view. Basicly, i dont see it ever 'catching up', end of story. When i need to use videochat on msn i jsut use as mentoined, amsn, works perfectly fine. I know it may be a hassle for some users who don thave it, however most people, most of the time are trying with a windows user whos cleint supports it, if not and you use a mac, well, ***** if you don't want to download a 8mb program - you dont really want ot use it i guess :P
nothing is old in osx technology wise other then a few basic things, espcially with leopard coming soon. Obviously all software isnt native yet, it's still a new market in the mac industry compared to teh last X years running ppc software, things have to be rewritten as im sure you know. Firewire drives adn such arent anything new to any pc market, they ahve been aroudn for a long time, every modern comptuer supprots external nd many even internal firewire and sata drives.
what software do you find ot be relics? iChat > AOL IM in my view, msn, yes its garbage on mac - i use adium usually and amsn fi i need cam as mentioned.

I faced a problem while downloading Patch : 5985072 for Discoverer 10g. It is asking for a password to download this patch. Please guide me that where I can get this password.
Because downloading this patch is important as applying this patch and one more Patch i.e. 4960210 allow Oracle Application users to login to Discoverer Administrator and Discoverer Desktop. So please guide.

Hi,
You will have to raise an Oracle support service request to obtain the password for this patch. This patch is not generally available and can only be download using a password that changes from time to time.

The most closest patch that you can get is patch level 27, you can find it in SAP PartnerEdge.

Hi Morgan,
it is very important to read the notes released with the new patches for references to the installation process. For the portal patch check the note 806271 and the notes mentioned there.
As stated in the note above you'll need at least Portal Patch 4 and CM & Collaboration patch 5 to upgrade to the latest patch level, which actually now is Patch 34!!!
So for installing the latest portal patch check SAP Note 858873 and for the latest CM & Coll Patch check SAP Note 855491.
Also, this threads might be usefull to check if you have understand the process mentioned in the SAP Notes:

Patch 1685689 is already included in 11i.FND.E and above. So, if you are running on 11.5.8 (or above), then you should have this patch already applied (verify by query ad_bugs table).
Why do not you simply apply Patch 5080487? It is available for download (make sure you select Microsoft Windows (32-bit) for the platform in the patch search page.

Install Weblogic 12c zip for developement on Windows 7

I have downloaded wls1211_dev.zip for development purpose (instead of full install using windows installer), for installing on the windows 7 (64 bit). After extracting the zip contents, I set up the environment variables for JAVA_HOME, MW_HOME and JAVA_VENDOR as stated in the readme.txt included in the zip distribution. I also made sure to set the environment variables using 8.3 names (old DOS names) by using dir /x command. Here are the environmental settings:
E:\WLS12c>echo %JAVA_HOME%
C:\PROGRA~1\Java\JDK17~1.0_0\bin
E:\WLS12c>echo %MW_HOME%
E:\WLS12c
E:\WLS12c>echo %JAVA_VENDOR%

But every time I run configure.cmd, I get the following error:
(I checked the permissions on the directory where I have unzipped and it is full control for me (not an administrator user). I tried to run the configure.cmd using administrative user but the same result). I can also navigate to the directories using 8.3 names. I am able to create delete and update files and folder in the target directories as non-administrative user. I have no idea why I should be getting the following errors.

Hi,
This issue usually occurs when you install WebLogic Server using generic jar installer and when launching installation with incorrect JDK version.It may be improper JDK installation or incorrect JAVA HOME setup at OS level.
To resolve this issue, uninstall current WebLogic installation using generic.jar installer that is referring incorrect JDK and relaunch the installation with correct JDK by setting correct JAVA HOME system variables. Below are steps to be followed to address this issue.
Un-install WebLogic from your machine.
If the installer is on a network drive it's recommended to copy the generic installer to your local file system and to a folder with no spaces or strange characters.
Remove the system variables you've set: JAVA_HOME, JAVA_VENDOR, and remove the %JAVA_HOME%\bin from the path system variable.
Run the installer as follows:
Open a command prompt
Change directory to \JDK_64\bin folder and execute:
java.exe -jar -Xms1024m server1001_generic.jar
After the installation is completed you can proceed to safely run the Configuration Wizard (config.cmd)

Is the patch you're talking about for Leopard itself, or for
the extension? If the patch is for Leopard, I'd assume that You'd
have to get it from Apple, but I don't know where to look for that.
If the patch is for the extension, then you probably need to go to
the developer's site to see if the patch is posted there, or
contact the developer directly to see where this patch may be if
indeed it is necessary.

I'm not sure what "Mail Update for Mac OS X 10.5.6" is. Mac OS X 10.5.6 is Leopard, a system that is quite old at this point. There have not been any Mail updates for Leopard in quite some time. If you are trying to install some old Mail update for Mac OS X 10.5.6 in Mavericks, that won't work.
If you are trying to install the Mavericks Mail update manually, that's not necessary if you have updated through the App Store. If the App Store shows no updates, you don't need this. (The error message doesn't make sense, and may indicate some other problem with your system, assuming that you were downloading this update from Apple's site.)
I'd advise you to start a new topic in the Mavericks forum and describe the problems you are having with Mail. Be sure to include specifics, but try to avoid speculating on causes, as responses that may be related to an inaccurate assumption on your part can cloud the issue.
