Download PC App on a Mac?

Hello,
I am trying to download a trial of Production Premium CS6 for PC.  At the current time, though, I am on a Mac.  How can I download software for eventual installation on a PC while using a Mac.
Thanks!

How do I download an app from the Mac App Store but not install it yet?
Can I simply download it and not install?
What if the App gets updated before I download it?
Why? Well, I am very busy and wish to install at my leisure even though I have purchased the App (required at a specific day in the month in order to appear on my business accounts).
    Thanks.

There is a difference in what Kappy stated and what you stated. A major paid upgrade (v2.x to v3.0), yes, costs money, as it would in any other delivery stream. Updates (v3.0 to v3.1) to a a major version are free.
Most apps sold through the Mac App Store (MAS) are the type that use the simple drag & drop installation. Those are downloaded directly to the designated apps folder and installation is done. Large pro-type apps download an installer to your Apps folder. Those you can install at your leisure. The MAS does not have a lot of apps using this type of installation.
Be sure to always backup your MAS purchases, because there is no guarantee that the app will always be available for download in the future and it is your responsibility to archive copies.

If you are referring to iBooks on iOS based devices, no, they cannot be read on the Mac OS X. Two different operating systems.

  • Error 100 trying to download an App from the Mac App Store

    Hi,
Every time I try to download an App from the Mac App Store I obtain a message that says that it has ocurred and error with the apple store (Error 100).
After that, i obtain a second message that says "Tour Apple ID has been deactivated".
I can not download any app to my new MacBook Air.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Martín

I found that this error occurred when trying to purchase Aperture via the new App Store. I had previously downloaded the trial version via the old Apple store and having it and its installed folders on my hard disk prevented the App store from letting me purchase.
So, if you have a trial version, trash it, and trash the related folders in your user Library and also the Aperture project folder (wherever you saved it), typically in the Pictures folder.
    Then try to purchase. Voila!

Your reply is not very easy to read due to the lack of punctuation.
You have the left-hand sidebar enabled (option-command-S on a Mac), and you've connected and selected the phone on that sidebar and are using the Apps tab on the right-hand side of the screen to select which apps to install e.g. from http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12115
And clicking 'install' next to the apps that you want to install and then 'apply' at the bottom right of the screen doesn't install them onto your phone ?

  • I downloaded an app on my Mac but it only works on an IPad. Is there anyway to get a refund so I can get the right one?

When downloading apps from a Mac, any apps downloaded in iTunes are for iOS devices.
For Mac Apps use the App Store app.
You can connect iTunes Store Support but I doubt they will give you a refund.

  • Downloading an app on to macs?

I have two macs and the same apple account on both and i am wondering if i buy an app on one do i have to pay for the same app on the other one.

    "Buy, download, and even redownload.
You can install apps on every Mac you use and even download them again. This is especially convenient when you buy a new Mac and want to load it with apps you already own."
    See bottom of :
    http://www.apple.com/mac/app-store/
Let's hope this is true, but I suggest you check individual licence agreements for each app in case there are any catches.

  • I am trying to download free apps for my mac and it is disabled? Help!

I am trying to download free apps onto my macbook air. IT is telling me my install has been disabled. Can you tell me why?

If you are an Admin on the system and the owner of the iTunes account, then you should be able to download, unless there was a problem with the app, and Apple has blocked it.
If your not an Admin or iTunes account owner... you are probably seeing Parental Control restrictions working as designed.

  • Why do I get this error (The request timed out.(102)) when i try and download an app from the mac app store?

I have been trying to download the new updates for Aperture , Safari, and Iphoto. I click update and it gets the download bar but it doesnt get passed 0 KB when downloading the apps. Previously I had gotten the NSURLErrorDomain error -3001.)(102) but that stopped. Why is it doing this?

    typing

in the Safari address bar will download the update, but at the moment the Apple servers are very slow.

  • How do I download an app from the Mac App Store but not install it and save to do later?

I'm getting the free Lion download for new Macs from the Mac App Store, but am not ready to install it yet. It appears that apps (including Lion?) from the App Store automatically install themselves. Is there any way to save an App Store download (.dmg?) for later installation without having it automatically install? I asked Apple Support via chat, and they said it could be installed later but couldn't tell me how.

The Lion download is different than small apps. What you get with Lion is an installer. But be sure to make an extra copy because after using the installer it deletes itself.

  • IM TRYING TO DOWNLOAD AN APP IN THE MAC APP STORE BUT I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"

i am trying to update to osx lion but keep getting "there was an error in the app store. please try again later. (4)" when i click buy and type my password in.

    Ok..
Installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo may help this.
Restart your Mac after installing the combo then try downloading Lion.
It's ok to install the combo even though you are already running v10.6.8
BEFORE you do this make sure your Mac meets Lion's requirements:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available spare
From here > Apple - OS X Lion - Technical specifications
Read this article before upgrading to Lion > Lion upgrade questions: Apple Support Communities
And here >  What applications are not compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion"? What upgrade or substitute options are available for common incompatible applications? @ EveryMac.com

  • Can I download an app from the Mac App store without upgrading to Yosemite

I purchased the Lion upgrade through Apple for my Late 2006 MacBook and was given a redemption code to use in the Mac App store. I cannot open or download the Mac App store without upgrading to Yosemite, which is impossible with my old MacBook. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If for some reason App Store is not showing on your 10.6.8, check Apple logo > about this Mac And the version number.  Anything less than 10.6.6 would explain it.  If that is the case, software update, preferably to the 10.6.8 Combo.
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 It is a big update.

  • Downloading an app on two macs?

I have two macs and i bought pages on one of them i am wondering if i can download pages on the other one for free

Copying the app from Mac to Mac may not get you the full app. It is better to open the Mac App Store on the Mac and install directly from the App Store.
