Download photos from old phone, but can't see the screen

Download photos from a LG Spectrum 2 that quit working, my contacts came over from whenever the last backup was, there were some of them missing as well. I can't see the screen on Spectrum 2, but the power button light is illuminated if plugged into a charger. My Spectrum 2 has an internal SD card, so not just as easy as obtaining from the SD card.

I am sorry for the issues you are having. Without having access to the on screen prompts of the phone the media can not be transferred unless it was previously backed up somewhere such as the VZW Cloud or another 3rd party storage. If you would like you can try to gain access to the media by plugging the device into a computer and transfer the media however this many not be possible as you must enable USB Mass Storage on the device. You can try an alternative.
This is the quickest thing that came to mind, but if you want to wipe it with no care of the data on the device at all:
Place device in recovery mode (turn off device > hold home button + plug in to iTunes (WHILE HOLDING BUTTON)).
iTunes will give you an error saying it detected a device in recovery mode, you need to restore to use device. Restoring device is a factory reset. AKA a wipe of the device

IBook coming on, but can barely see the screen!

Okay, so if I dont look closely, the screen looks like its not on, but if i turn it at the right angle......the wallpaper, desktop, etc, is in fact working!!!! is it my backlight???? Please help!!
I've restarted it several times and still no luck...i reset the PMU and that didnt work....

Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Have you tried turning up the brightness with the F2 key?
Have you checked the Brightness slider in System Preferences > Display Preferences?
(Sometimes it's the simplest things.)
Do you still have your OS 9 installation? If so, try going to System Preferences > Startup Disk, select your OS 9 startup volume and restart in OS 9. Do you have the same problem in OS 9? If so, it is almost certainly a hardware issue.

I am having the same problem which has happened very infrequently before. Generally it's one photo and happened when my battery died.
However today I tried to download six photos.
None would download including several others for a total of 21 that would not download.
Since I had just installed a new powered hub and added three new external 4T hard drives, I got concerned that it was the hub. Then got really worried that I'd have problems with the data I have been backing up.
However following this sequence of events, I've determined it's not the hub, but still don't know what is causing the problem.
(1) Put a fresh battery in the camera - same results
(1.5) Used a different port in the new hub - same results
(2) Put the card in the card slot in the back of my iMac - no problems except that one image I knew about last week. The six new images imported.
(3) Tried again using the cable - still same error
(4) Changed cables - my husband has the same camera - still same error
(4) Put the card in his camera with his cable - still same error
(5) Put the card in a card reader and used the same slot in the new hub - no problems - same one wouldn't import but message that there are no new photos to import.
(6) Moved the offending one image to the Trash while the card was in the card reader
(7) Put the card back into my camera and used my cable. iPhoto had no error and displayed the message there are no new photos.
Conclusion:
Not the camera
Not the cable
Not the hub
Must remove bad photo from the card
However, I have not had to do that before. I went through several imports on vacation when there was one bad image and just ignored it each time.
Any idea why this is happening now?

It does seem rather odd that an app that was acquired thru itunes would quit working once it was incorporated into the device for all users. oh well it was probably free or $.99 when I downloaded it.
I would think that they were just testing it to see how many people would use it. But you might want to write a polite letter to Apple requesting a credit for the purchase price of the no longer supported app. That seems to be the least they could for one of their 'alpha testers'.

Analytics can be accessed from the account under which folios are published for that app. If you don't see it under the account, I think it's best you contact support. Login to your DPS dashboard and click on "Contact Support" at the bottom left

Nyt times photo blog says latest FP version needed. I have it but can't see the pictures. HELP

I am running vista home premium and I use both internet explorer and firefox. The NYT website photo blog is called LENS and I have always been able to use it. A week or two ago I was told that I needed the latest version of flash drive to view photos. I went to the download site. got the software and loaded it. My list of program now shows Version 10 active x with flash plugins but can't see the photos. Appreciate any help

When you tap and hold on image in safari, there will be context menu. Usually there two options at least:
* Save image
* Copy
If you'll tap Copy - it will be copied to buffer and you can paste it at your new email (for ex.)
If you'll tap Save image - it will be saved in Photos app on your iPad (in my case it saves at Camera roll album)

Connecting the iPad to the internet via the iPhone is done by setting up a personal HotSpot, but you have to have that supported by your carrier and have to have established the account to do so.
On the iPhone, Settings > General > Network > Set Up Personal Hotspot
