Download picture from web

Hello everybody,
I want to load a picture from the internet and used normal TCP-commands
(TCPOpen, 'Get', TCPRead). Last week I found the following article
(with vi):

But now I'm stucked:
When the internet address starts with "http://www." then LabView
gets the picture. When the internet address starts with a different
name (i.e. not "www") LabView cannot find the picture even when the
address uses the http-protocol

What to do?

Hi, I had a problem with my computer and had to reinstall OS. I had a one-year old back and recover most of my files except some photos. I posted them as photo galleries using iWeb. I would like to know if I can restore the photos from my galleries back into iPhoto.

Welcome to the discussions. Whilst connected to the Web, in iPhoto '08 you could try clicking on the iPhoto menu > choose +Preferences... > MobileMe+ tab > in +Check for new photos >+ choose +Manually >+ click +Check Now.+

How to download pictures from the web with their URLs?

How do you download pictures from the Web so that they automatically have their URL addresses in their "Comments" section of the Get Info window? I thought Safari did this automatically, but it's not happening for me.

When you say to open the image in another window, do you mean another Safari window? When I do and right click on the image, I don't get the "Inspect Element" option. I have tried your other suggestion, and that doesn't work either.
So.... I'm still puzzled...
I am also working in the same version of Safari (4.0.4) but this may be because I have the "Develop" menu (between Bookmarks and Window). If you do not, that will not be available to you. I can tell you how to get this, but as a newer user, this may be (for now) more information than you want.
However, if you do open that image in a new window, the toolbar will display the URL of the image.
As to the other solution, I may not have explained this clearly enough. Let me suggest another route to the same idea. With an image in a web page, drag it to the desktop. When it is on the desktop, highlight the image (click once) and then use the Finder > File menu and the item, Get Info. The large panel that opens will give the URL and this works for any file downloaded from the internet, which makes it a useful security check too.

I checked and it does not appear in the Applications folder.
I tried yesterday on an ethernet connection with a download speed of 2 Mbps but, unfortunately the connection died(It happened from the ISP end, which is out of my control) in between after which there was no trace of the download that happened for so long(till the internet connection death).
One more serious query which I am unable to understand. If the internet connection, dies in the midst of the download is in progress why is it so that the state does not persist and one has to restart the entire process again. Is there no solution for this?
I tried so many times and its the same case after some amount of download it vanishes. So many unsuccessful attempts. I am ****** off now. Is it not possible to see Mavericks? Why does different machines of Apple behave differently? Somewhere it goes smoothly and somewhere like my mine. Why did not Apple release a non apple store version? Is this not a bad sign of letting the users struggle when something is being offered for free?
The reason I asked as whether we can download the .app of Mavericks is that, there are so many applications that I have downloaded web and have installed. All that works fine. Can't we do the same here? You download a copy of Mavericks installer application and upload it for me in Google drive or like online storage places which can be downloaded and used by me? Help me understand.

Yes, the error message is exactly like that ("Database error: failured to persist version")
No photos will import at all. I use USB to import from iPhone 5s or iPad 2.
About the difference? iPhoto and Photos . Are there two softwares?
I also will like to merge and/or synchronize all my photos I had saved to iCloud backups, Macbook Pro, iPhone 5s and iPad hard drives using iPhoto. It's call iPhoto library. At one point I turned off streaming.

I don't know much about computers, so I don't know how this happened. Also, I can't find any discernible pattern to why this happens with some pictures and not others--ie: what I described above is usually true, but I have had e-mailed photos or old photos turn out the way I want them, which is in the larger size in iPhoto. Why is this happening, and how can I make all the pictures the larger size?

Some mail programs, including Apple Mail, can reduce the size of images that are attached to a message. It's happening at the sender's end, and all you can do is ask the sender for a larger image.

Use of the tools is pretty much the same in all versions of the program.
"Edit" is a menu item in Photoshop Elements Editor. Don't you see this?

Since the update to 7.0.1 I am unable to open download updates to IE 8. Nor can I download a fresh version of AOL 9.0vr or download attachments from web beased e-mails. Is there a problem with Firefox, please?

I have several problems.

How do you download pictures from a (Motorola RAZR ) camera phone?

I use Bluetooth to transfer photos from my phone, which is a Sony Ericcson. It's so easy. My iMac has built in bluetooth and I can also use a cheapo bluetooth dongle with my iBook because the iBook doesn't have inbuilt Bluetooth. It plugs into the USB port.
It's so easy, works automatically without a hitch. It's simply a case of browsing the device - your phone - navigating to the image folder on your phone and transferring them over.
