Why does Apple make it almost impossible to download iTunes for Windows 8 64 bit laptop? Is there a link that works?

Here is another error message that I get:
iTunes.exe Entry Point Not Found
            Theprocedure entry point KCMByterStreamNotification_AvailiableLengthChanged couldnot be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll.
Here is a third error message that I get:
            iTunes wasnot installed correctly. Pleasereinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows errer127)

Same problem. I think it's related to a problem with the Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable package.
What version do you guys have instaled of the Visual C++ 2005 Redist?
If you go into control panel, uninstall a program. Go down to Microsoft, you should see it
mine says 8.0.50727.4053
The error seems to mention .6195
Does any one have any idea what that means?
i'm pretty sure if i uninstall the 2005 Redistrib, i won't be able to reinstall it. That's my curret situation with the 2008 package so i'm afraid to uninstall the 2005 although it's not helping me by leaving it...

The Apple website sometimes gives problems to download iTunes. If you have problems, simply download iTunes from the Apple Support website > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1615, or http://www.apple.com/itunes/affiliates/download

Hi There,
In order to download / install Captivate 8 32 bit, you have to download 2 files ( .7z and .exe ) at same location/ folder.
Once both files downloaded completely then you have to run .exe file and it will extract .7z file first and then it will initialize the installer. You do not have to open .7z file.
Let me provide you the download links of Captivate 8 32 bit :-
Open the link mention below in any Web Browser say Internet Explorer
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=captivate
Sign in with your Adobe id and Password, then you will be redirected to download Web Page of Captivate 8.
Do not click on Download. Kindly let that window open as it is.
Now Copy and paste the link mention below in the new tab/window of the same Web Browser in which you have opened the above link.
http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/8/win32/Captivate_8_LS21.7z
Then Save the file.
Do the same for the link mention below and save this .exe file as well.

Make sure both the files (.7z and .exe) save/download at the same location/folder.
NOTE: Wait for both the files to finish download and then run the .exe file.
Once you run the .exe, it will start extracting the .7z file and will provide Captivate 8 folder on your desktop which will contain setup.exe. Run this setup.exe to install Captivate 8.

I can't find the download link for spotify 64-bit - I remember being asked what version of spotify to download, 32 or 64 bit, and i idiotically chose 32 bit. So I uninstalled it to install the 64 bit but it didn't ask me this time and went staright to download the 32 bit...again. Could somebody post the link for specific spotify 64 bit? Thx.

I just double checked on Mac and it seems within the last few versions they added a 64 bit version. So it's very likely there is a 64 bit version for Windows too

Problems Downloading Quicktime For Windows

I have made numerous attempts over the past few weeks to download QuickTime for Windows XP. Each attempt results in the following:
I end up at a page that says "Your download will start automatically" and "Thankyou for downloading QuickTime."
Of course,the download never starts. I've tried downloading using Mozilla Firefox as well as IE7, both the latest versions with all patches applied. Javascript is turned on in IE7.
Even after waiting a few hours, nothing gets downloaded, or even starts to download.

As I have a DSL connection, I am not using any acceleration software, at least not on my own Pc. Perhaps my service provider is, but I have no control over that.
As to pop-up blockers, I turned them off in both IE7 and Mozilla 2.0.0.3, all to no avail. My software firewall is setup to always advise me of anything that it is attempting to block, and no messages have appeared on my screen.
I've tried downloading Quicktime on three different computers, two at one location, the third two miles away from the other two Pc's.
So far, I have had no success.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

find original w8 cd and then i installed, when i was installing
i deleted all recovery and other partition, i did not think what can i do,
but then i activated windows and installed all driver, but i taking
after all drivers it stayed

and when i rebooted, it says, usb device not recognized'' and also
''pci data acquisition and signal processing center'' devices problem for windows 8. and touchscreen not working.
i read related for w7 same problem, but what i will do now ?

By opening your Device Manager right click on one unknown device and choose properties,
>On the properties windows Click on the Details Tab, on the property drop down Choose hadware IDs
> then copy the value and post back here whats on the Value pane
Do it for all those unknown Device and Post here the Value of the hardware ids
also can you share your Windows Version and bit type so we'll knwo the correct download page for you

User profile creation problem for windows 7 clients with eap-fast

In our clients locations we implemented eap-fast authentication with domain integration in ACS for wlan users.Every thing working fine.We are facing problem with windows 7 laptops, in which client utility is not available to configure the user profiles.
In xp laptops client utility softwares are available with all makes, but with win 7 utilitys are not coming by default......
So what are options and available sourses for creating user profile with EAP-FAST in windows 7 laptops.
Any free univarsal client utility is available for windows 7 laptop.
Please guide me..............

Windows 7 should be able to do EAP-fast by default. If not you could download the latest Anyconnect client that also has the Cisco wireless supplicant in it.

Be sure that the battery is fully charge then try the following:
Hit the ESC key after power on to bring up the Start up Menu and then select System Diagnostics (F2). Now run the battery test.
If the battery is OK then try the below suggestion:
Go to the Control Panel ----> Power Options and then select the HP Power Manager on the left column. You can then select one of the power plans and see the effects on battery life.
Depending on the power plan selected and what applications your are running, you may not get more than one hour on battery.

Backup iTunes podcast download status for Windows XP reinstall

I'm preparing for a long overdue reinstall of Windows XP. I use iTunes to downoad oodles of podcasts; I have many episodes which I've not yet downloaded and won't until I've completed the reinstall. That is, their download status is still set to "Get".
My question is: How can I backup the status of my individual podcast episodes?
I know how to backup/export the subscriptions (OPML) and the already downloaded files of course. Does iTunes have a file (XML? .config? ...) or some metadata that I can hook into so that I don't have to re-download everything once my reinstall is done?

There are a couple of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Method one which has already been described is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries. Method two is to set your preferences so that either one or both iPods get updated with only certain playlists within one library. Choosing the update option "automatically update selected playlists only" allows you to create a playlist specifically for each iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other iPod. Make your playlist a Smart playlist and limit the size to just below the advertised capacity of your iPod ( for example, around 3700MB for a 4GB or 1800MB for a 2GB Mini or Nano).
