Can't run iTunes, Apple Application Support program missing. It's a brand new computer, never had iTunes installed. I've attempted 16 installs, each time uninstalling the previous install and verifying no Apple software installed before trying again; I've also been using different browsers, still no luck. Windows 7, 64 bit.

Try downloading 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and unpack the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe file into its components then try installing them individually in alphabetical order (don't try to install SetupAdmin.exe or iCloud.msi). AAS might not install right now, but you may get a more useful error message as to why not, or it might install once the other components have been installed.

I may have deleted download program

I think I deleted the program that downloads programs. I have the BOM Archive, but I was trying to use the Handheld Sync Installer to open Ventrilo for my computer. However, it says that the Palm Hotsync Folder is missing. Is there a way I can re-download this program? If not, do I need to reset my computer to default?

We don't know what model powerbook you have. You can get replacement discs at a reduced cost from Apple if you provide them with your serial number. However, I believe those will just be for the original ones that came with your computer and it might not be Tiger. Otherwise this is a tough time to get Tiger because Apple no longer sells it and lots of people still want it so it is going for a premium. you can try e-bay or there are various online retailers. It is vitally important that if you buy it online that you get the retail install version which is black in color. Do not get the gray version which was supplied with a computer and very likely will not work with your model computer.

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

Downloaded program won't open. Mavericks.

I get this message when trying to open downloaded program under Mavericks. "Singularity" can't be opened because it is form an unidentified developer. What can I do? What can I do?

That is Gatekeeper.
You can disable it completely in the Security & Privacy System Preferences, or you can right-click on the program and choose Open. It will then warn you that it doesn't know where it came from, but it will allow you to open the program. From then on, it will open without warning.

Often I want to download programs onto my iPad, and only after going through all the steps I get a message from Safari telling me it cannot be downloaded, but with no explanation provided.

You can't download programs via Safari, you can only install apps that you download from the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app directly on the iPad - PC and Mac programs are not compatible with the iPad, they are different operating systems.

Downloading programs to HP Stream 7

I have not bought a Stream 7 yet. Before I do I would like to be re-assured that it is possible to download programs to the Stream 7 using an external CD drive such as is used on notebooks running windows XP.
