i purchased adobe photoshop elements 13 for my mac but it does not have a dvd rom drive - how do i use the serial number to download the program from adobe?

You just need to download the trial version and use your serial number
from the box to activate it.

I suggest avoid using the download manager and instead use the direct
link by using the link given at the bottom of the screen. Also, make
sure you are using Apple Mac to download the trial version so that you
get the correct download version otherwise you might get the Windows
version again.

I purchased a boxed version of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium in 2011 and am trying to install it on my new ultrabook. (My understanding is that I can install the software on two computers but only use it on one at a time). However, because ultrabooks do not have optical drives, I need to download the software. The Adobe help topic on downloading purchased software indicates there should be a download link on my "My Orders" page, but there isn't (perhaps because I purchased a box version?). Do you know how I can install my purchased copy of CS5.5 Design Premium without the discs?

Often I want to download programs onto my iPad, and only after going through all the steps I get a message from Safari telling me it cannot be downloaded, but with no explanation provided.

You can't download programs via Safari, you can only install apps that you download from the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app directly on the iPad - PC and Mac programs are not compatible with the iPad, they are different operating systems.

You say you use file explorer, you must have had to
install some other Siemens software??(y/n)On the phone or on the PC? On the phone no. Of course you have to install some drivers on your PC for that thing working correctly. After that, you have an SX1 built in your WindowsExplorer, where you can browse your phone and transfer data.
The Siemes SX1 has a simple file system with some drives, folders and so on. And this you can browse on the phone using the built in Explorer. There you browse to the jad/jar files of your app, run the jad file and the built-in Java-Manager installs the app. Easy play ;)
(in fact, my SX1 has the FExplorer from Symbian, which is a litte more comfortable, but the original ones have an Explorer too)

Yes, there are downloads available. You should check you Adobe account online as there might be links provided there. Your serial numbers will be needed for activation, and they might also be found there.

Since you lost the installation(s) without deactivating them first you probably should contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations so that you have the two available to you in case you want to have a backup installation on another machine. Depending where you are, there can be slow downs on the servers.
You just have to keep trying. I tried 3 times to get the Mavericks upfrade and eventually had to go to the Apple Store.

Make sure you are dealing with the correct product for the serial number. If the serial number is for a full creative suite then you need to get the suite, not the individual application, and vice versa.
