After scanning a device , FCS has placed the proxy files on my devicde but I cannot see the indiviudal proxy files , they are all merged in a bundle file proxies.bundle . Any one who can guide me how can I download the proxy files at my desktop while are proxies are merged into one bundle file ; is there any way , pl guide

There is 2 ways you could do this. First, if you right-click (Ctrl+Click) on the Proxy.bundle and you select Show Package Content, you could browse or search for the proxy file you need.
The other way is in Final Cut Server. If you double-click on an asset to get info, you go in the resources tab and if you right-click on the Clip Proxy file and select Retreive media, you can export the proxy to the location you want.

Adobe Reader 9.0 has delay when downloading PDF file through proxy server

There is an issue with the Adobe Reader (and Acrobat) 9.0 PDF Link Helper ActiveX control for Internet Explorer (6 or 7) on Windows computers with respect to proxy servers. Due to this issue, there is a 2 minute delay for any Internet Explorer web browser on the Deere network before any PDF file will open from the Internet within the IE web browser if In-Place activation (Display PDF in Browser) is enabled in Adobe Reader 9. This problem does not affect Adobe Reader 8.
What we are seeing is that when someone on the Deere network clicks on a links to a PDF file in the Internet, the PDF file downloads immediately. But then, after the PDF file is downloaded, the Adobe Reader 9 PDF Link Helper ActiveX control tries to talk directly to the Internet web site. The Adobe Reader 9 PDF Link Helper ActiveX control does not know how to negotiate our proxy server. So after a minute or two, the Adobe Reader 9 PDF Link Helper ActiveX control times out (gives up) and allows the IE browser to display the downloaded PDF file in the IE browser.
We work around this issue by disabling In Place Activation for PDF files in IE (uncheck Display PDF in Browser). But we would like a fix for the PDF Link Helper ActiveX control.

Here's what our proxy people see when they do a trace of a PDF file download through their proxy server with IE 7 and Adobe Reader 9 with Display PDF in Browser checked.
The browser tells the proxy to download the pdf, it does and sends it to the browser. Before the browser opens it something in Acrobat ( or I.E. ? ) tries to make a connection back to the content server that hosted the pdf. Unfortunately this agent does not ask the proxy to make the request for it, but rather asks local DNS to resolve the Internet server name. This request dies because our internal private network does not know anything about the Internet. Only the DNS used by the proxy can resolve Interent names. After two unsuccessful DNS queries into the private network, the agent tries to resolve the same Internet name with NBNS ( netbios name service) queries again into the private network, with the same results. These requests persists for more than two minutes ( over 200 unresolved queries ). Then for whatever reason the agent gives up and the already downloaded pdf file loads into the browser.

I have the same problem with some specific PDF files. For more than 90% it hangs when opening the file, but sometimes it works (with the same file).
The workflows where it sometimes worked:
a) Loading the PDF, the reader is started the first time and displays license dialog.
b) The reader was already runing and file is loaded with Drag&Drop or File/Open in the Reader
But most times it does not load.
I could not find out which file is missing or trying to be opened. So I tried with the CP949.TXT.
I found no CP949.TXT in Reader 8 installation, so I took it from the link, pasted into notepad and stored in the respective directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Resource\TypeSupport\Unicode\Mappings\win\
Now it seems to work fine, opening PDFs with double click from exporer.
But why did Adobe Reader 8 not have the TypeSupport directory at all?
Even when having found a fix (hack?), I think I did not understand the cause of this problem.

Thank you, grigpm. But actually I want the user to select the file that he wants to download rather than setting it in the configuration file. If it is possible, let me see the sample code of FileManager servlet. I've tried with some ways but I can only download from the same server with the application server. I want to download from different server. I hope someone can help me with sample code....

UCM supplies webservice interfaces which let you retrieve the filecontent by soap calls from UCM (http://ucmhost/_dav/cs/idcplg for example). (maybe you should enable some settings on ucm to have this webservice interface getting published).
This services for example has 2 operations getFileByID and getFileByName.
So you can just call these services from within OSB.
After that you need to do some tests if you eitherway need to create a file-transport business-service and call this one from your proxy service or create a messageType proxyservice (binary) which calls this file-transport business service to be able to write fo filesystem.
I think for the OSB book i used a jca file adapter generated in Jdeveloper and used that one to write to filesystem.

How can I download music files (MP3) and video files (AVI) to iPod Nano?

Problem exporting Prores proxy files in CS6

I have a bunch of Apple Prores proxy files which were created from RAW DNG files in DaVinci Resolve. I have completed an edit of a music video with these files in Premiere Pro CS6. However when I try to export the files from the timeline, the exported file seems to have linked to all the wrong clips, and the whole video seems to be a random mish-mash of clips. The timecodes of the clips all seems accurate, and they display perfectly within CS6 and in quicktime.
Wondering why the clips display fine on the timeline, allowing me to edit the video in-sync, however will not export properly?

First configure Problems Reports and Solutions in Control panel to Check for Solutions automatically and Automatically send more information. Then check if there are fixes available for your application. If there are then download and install them.
Make sure your Window Operating system has all the latest service packs, security updates and other fixes installed.
Most applications have a Check for Updates feature. Use it to make sure you have the latest version of the S/W. Alternatively visit the company website and check for new versions and patches.
Run an up-to-date virus checker on the machine and fix any issues. If a virus is detected in the application then you may need to reinstall the application.
Re-install the application. Through Control Panel \ Programs \ Uninstall a program. Right click the application and click Uninstall / Change. This should launch the installer which may give the option to Repair the installation. If not then you will need to uninstall and reinstall - make sure you have the original installation discs available before uninstalling.
Disable any Virtual Drive software that may be hooking in to the application. If the problem goes away, contact the developer of the Virtual Drive software.
Disable any Virus checkers on your machine (temporarily) and run the application again. If the problem goes away, contact the developer of the Virus Checking software.
Check if the problem is reproducible (after a reboot). If it is, then attempt to narrow down the exact steps that cause the fault, write them down and contact the support department for the company that developed the application providing as much information about the crash and what you have done so far to attempt to resolve the issue.

Problems in Downloading a file from a web site using HttpClient

My requirement is to download a file from a website using a java program. I have written a program using HttpClient API but I am unable to do so. Reality is that I don't know how to proceed with the HttpClient API to get the file downloaded. Same file can also be downloaded manually by login to that website, below mentioned steps are to be followed to download the file manually.
1. Login to the website using Login/Password (I have valid login/password)
2. Two options (links) are there (a) Report (b) Search [I am chosing report option]
3. Newly opened window shows two tabs (a) Today (b) From & To [I am selection Today tab]
4. Every tab has two radio button (a) File (b) Destination [Destination is selected by me]
5. When Search button is pressed. A link gets created when that link is clicked file download popup is opened which allows facility to open/save the file.
All these 5 step are to be followed in a java program to download the file. Please help in doing the same.

WSUS in Windows Server 2012 R2 is not downloading update files.

I'm not using Proxy server and this is the only WSUS server in our environment and update source is to sync from Microsoft Update site.
Synchronization completes successfully and every update files is not downloading. When I look at the download status from the main page, it said it downloaded, but when I look at the files from updates folder, it said failed to download.
I'm getting following error messages:
Content file download failed.
Reason: The server does not support the necessary HTTP protocol. Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) requires that the server support the Range protocol header.

Hi,
This is most likely a problem with a proxy server or firewall. Since you don’t have a proxy server, then firewall could be the culprit.
Error message when you try to download a file by using the Background Intelligent Transfer Service: "Content file download failed"

Make sure your firewall support HTTP 1.1 range requests. If it still doesn’t help, try the following workaround:
If you are unable resolve this issue from the proxy/firewall side, then try these steps as a workaround on the WSUS server,
Set BitsDownloadPriorityForeground=1 using osql.exe on WSUS SQL instance.
net stop WSUSservice

Cannot download installation file

I am trying to synchronize MI Client with MI Server to download application EASYTORUN on MIClient.The application is successfully uploaded through Webconsole and assigned to User with particular Device ID. I am getting following Error on MIClient during Synchronization.

I am able to download application successfully using Webcolsole , when i click on Hyperlink. I am getting same Error with other applications when i download on MIClient.
Please can you let me know how this can be Resolved.

i saw ur log it shows tht ur uploading both awt and jsp client in the same client u need to assign either jsp or awt version to a client not both,
Pls note
TOM folder in installation is for JSP
Core folder is for awt
Path:

Problem downloading ZIP file with Squid-3.0

Hi,
I have upgraded my Linux CentOS squid proxy servers to Squid version 3.0. Since then I can not download the following file it just hangs :
http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper-1.5.5.59.69.zip
I dont see any error in the squid logs or on my firewall.
I can however download it on one of the older servers still running Squid version 2.6.
It is just very strange as I can download ZIP files from any other website with the upgraded servers.
Any ideas on what might cause this ?

If you have already interested, I found the solution. The problem is that oracle website (and probably others) uses “Vary” field in the header and squid doesn’t support this (by default). You have to download squid sources on http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/ and compile these with “--enable-http-violations” parameter :
*./configure ‘--enable-http-violations’ ‘…’ ‘…’*
make all
make install

What are good settings to output for creating proxy files?

when i want to make proxy files for smoother editing in premiere. What should i set my output settings too?

Please tell us more about your intended workflow. I think you may be using the word "proxy" when you mean "intermediate" or "mezzanine" codec.
A "proxy" is a low-resolution, low-bitrate representation of the actual footage. The proxy clips are used to rough out the edit, and when completed, the original media is reconnected to the project for the final high-quality render. I don't believe many folks are using proxies these days with computers being much faster than before.
An "intermediate" codec is something that is not necessarily a smaller file than the original - it is often much larger in fact - but it is easier to decompress in the NLE timeline and therefore provides smoother playback and more responsive editing. For example, GoPro clips are an H.264 codec that can bog down even fast computers, so the GoPro Studio software can transcode to an .avi or .mov intermediate file that will be a larger clip than the source, but plays back so much easier. Quality is maintained, so the intermediate can be used for the entire editing process and exporting of final video, no need to re-link originals.
So, if looking for an intermediate codec, check out Cineform (from GoPro), Avid DNxHD, Matrox, Grass Valley, or similar. These are free downloads. I was assuming you're on a PC, but for Mac users, just use Apple ProRes if you are having trouble with the source video.

Java Programm to download some file from a location on internet

Hi,
I want to write a java programme which should be capable of download a file(like exe,zip) from the internet. It should also have provision for proxy server and it is going to run behind a firewall.

Read documentation for URLConnection (and HttpURLConnection) these classes can use proxy (set via system properties as mentioned in documentation), you can obtain InputStream to download remote file.
Working behind firewall depends on firewall and its configuration.

Error while downloading a file via APEX screen

It shows a POP up window by which u can save or opens the file. But no pop up displayed in this case.

Made the same changes but still getting the same error.
The earlier URL also that I had mentoned would dynamically make this url mentioned by you and then shows the pop up window.
However when I am right clicking on the download link and then clicking 'Save target as' then this error message is provided:
Internet Cannot download [schema name].download_myfile2 from [DNS name]
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet Site.The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found .Please try again.
Please help..

Display save as dialog when downloading a file

Hi,
I want to display a save as dialog when the user downloads a file.
Now I get a dialog where the user can choose to open or save it.
I set these headers:

When the user downloads a file I want to open a dialog where the user
can write a filename and then click Save to save the file.
Today I get a dialog where the user first have to choose if he wants to open or save the file.
When he clicks save then the dialog appears that I would want to be displayed.
I hope this clearifies my question.

How to log in background and execute a function for downloading a file

i have a problem.
I have an application with logon functionality. Over the application there is function to create a xml file for downloading it to the pc.
Now i want to download this file in background and save it to a server.
My problem is here how can i do this. The main problem is how to logon with the userid and password in background and how to dowload the file.
