Download Quality

So does anyone know what the quality of the files are for songs downloaded from the store? I can't find anywhere on the site that tells you... Can you chose? I suspect it is not that good either way.....
Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Yeah appears set at 128 Kbps, and can not be purchase at say 192 Kbps. It be nice if you could select song quality, before download but at the moment not possible.Suggestion would be purchase CD from music store (shop), and encode at your preferred setting. Whilst download songs as a temporary measure from itunes, when really want the song.
I like to set mine at 192(ipod) as slightly better than 128, and then have the CD for my home stereo system. Playing MP3 on good home hifi, really shows up difference in quality between MP3/CD, but on ipod hardly noticable, unless using lossless, but takes up too much space on a nano 4GB.
I think Apple or itunes, needs to look at adding a setting to itunes "Purchased Song Quality" that can be set 128,160,192,lossless. Probably reason not being done cost$, number copies required(space), more failed downloads and download speeds. But if it was design to test the client ability to download and default with 128 if client speed of connection was bad. And dynamically creates the purchased song depending on user preferred setting. They make alot of customers happy.
I sort old school, so disappointed in song quality that can be purchased from itunes, so will stick with buying CD at a musicstore (physical), and only buying stuff from itunes when have to have the song, and can put up with the lack of song quality.

  • Mobileme Gallery download quality

I am making a slideshow from photos my son took on vacation. He has published them on his Mobileme Gallery.
When I download the photos, they are compressed & I get the photos in a zipped folder which I import to iPhoto.
Has the picture quality reduced so the resulting slideshow will not be as good as if he sends me the photos some other way such as in iDisk?

Not entirely. There are two settings that can be used when creating a gallery:
The Actual size will essentially be the same as if he sent them some other way. It might have some jpeg compression applied but should not affect image quality.

  • Can I improve download quality?

Hi folks - how can I download my purchased items with a bit quality higher than 128kpbs? Is there a setting in iTunes for this somewhere?
    suggestions would be appreciated.
    thanks

Glad to help! There are also many times that if you buy an album or song that is not iTunes + at the moment, a while down the road it will be available in iTunes + and iTunes will notify you that it is available and it will cost a small amount more to upgrade. I think the small cost is will worth the better sound quality. You can see if there is any music that you have purchased that may now be available in iTunes + from the main home page in iTunes on the right column under quick links. Click iTunes Plus and it will be listed there. Currently, I have 9 albums available to me now that I can upgrade to iTunes +.

  • HT201272 I downloaded some albums but the quality is poor and I would like to downloads them again-How do I do this?

Can someone tell me how I can re-download as initial download quality is poor...Thanks

With the site on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Site+Identity+Button]) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Images+or+animations+do+not+show
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.

  • Need help with audible books app. It is telling me to redownload a book because it needed a better quality download but I don't see where to download it.

I Have the audible books app on my phone. I downloaded two books, but after about 30 minutes of listening, they both stopped and brought up a message block saying to go into settings and change the download quality to high and then redownload the books. I changed the quality, but I don't see where I can redownload the books .Until the books are redownloaded, I  am unable to listen to them.

    That's not an Apple product.

  • Frustrated with iTunes Store music file quality.

    Dear Apple iTunes Store supervisors,
Ive decided I will no longer buy music from itunes until you start to release music in a better quality, uncompressed, lossless-format and higher bitrate and sample depth.  The list of albums i want to buy grows, and itunes store is not making my money because it fails to provide what this consumer, and many others wants. I know you can do better, so im holding out for it.
Please bring us uncompressed DVD quality (or better) sound files. Atleast an ALAC 24bit 48khz download option. We are paying you for the music.
Our computers support it. iTunes supports it. The outputs on our computers support up to 24/96000! Apple TV supports 48khz! Everything does (except some dated items like airport express)! So If almost all the hardware can do it, why cant we use the capabilities of our apple equipment with apple provided content? Give us 24bit/48khz or better files to buy!
Many agree. itunes store AAC's sound compromised compared to the music ive bought from B&W Society of Sound or HD tracks.
These distributors offer a qualty product and why shouldnt you too?? No professional would be satisfyed with the current download quality you sell. No discriminating consumer either. We're an educated country with standards and we have a larger market place than ever before. I know im not alone here... The public has clamoured for better sound quality for decades. But why does this always get compromised?  Why sell unsatisfying music files that arent even to the standards of CD quality?
If readers want a demonstration of how sample rate effects sound, Play some music in iTunes, listen through the best system or headphones you have and go into your "Audio Midi Setup." Switch the output format to 8000hz .. notice how terrible the compressed sound is? Now, step by step increase the format to 16000, 32000, and up... you'll notice a point where the sound stops getting better to the ears. Thats where the limitations of either the file, or the hardware, or hearing are... but not the limitations of the hardware or its original recording! To fully display the depth and richness of the music, we need a file format that just exceeds our hearing like 24bit/48khz because anything less is HEARD as less.
Once we can identify that compressed absense of quality and have experienced what is possible, then why should we be satisfied with less?
Apple. Please improve the file quality availability by aquiring and providing higher quality music from your partnered record lables. Because we know they are recorded and mastered at MUCH higher quality, and when we buy the music thats what we want. That quality. You are capable of better, so please stop letting excuses get in the way. Make it happen. Market it as "Better than CD quality Download" and your sales will improve, wont they!
There's value to offering the option of a better file! Hard drives are affordable. Apple computers offer us tonnes of space.
I dont care if a cd is half a Gig, or a gig of data if it means Im getting the recording in its fullest quality.
Make it happen for us!! Its 2013.

I also wish iTunes would offer higher quality. However, I think the reason they don't is due to mobile devices and iCloud. In their attempt to give the majority average consumer the best user experience, they strip back features the minority prosumers would want. They developed a file type that sounds acceptable to most to maximize battery life, minimize hard drive space, and increase transfer speed on mobile devices. Apples goal is to give you portable music, and that is just what it is... Portable.
That said, I also do not buy from the iTunes Store either. As a music creator and DJ, I also buy higher quality files from other sources.

  • [Desktop][Other] Ability to choose quality setting like in Android in the Windows desktop app

So this goes like this: In the mobile app we can choose the streaming and download quality, but in the desktop we only have the Premium High Quality option. What happens is that if I have a very low internet connection of lets say 128kb, the Desktop software will not play the music because normal quality is 196kbps there, so having the ability to choose 96kbps or 128kbps bitrates can be useful

Updated: 2015-07-23Hello and thanks for the feedback!
A similar idea has also been suggested here:

  • FCE export quality worse than iMovie with same settings

Hi, I'm having real problems exporting video from FCE. If I import an HD clip from my Panasonic sd200 into iMovie and export it as a .mov and do exactly the same in FCE using the same export settings, the quality of the exported movie from FCE is much worse than the same from iMovie. I have been struggling with this problem for months and cannot seem to get any sort of decent quality export from FCE (using H264) and spent hours trying different settings.
Also, the colours in the exported videos from iMovie and FCE are less saturated and look really bland next to the same clip in FCE canvas.
Please can anyone help? Even the guys in the Apple shop could not figure this one out.

Sorry the camera is actually a Panasonic HS200.
The native format is .MTS and films in 1920x1080 50i. Imported via iMovie as a .MOV which gives the same quality footage as if I imported via Log and Transfer.
I will expand on the problem I am experiencing. When I export from FCE4 using "QuickTime conversion" I use the following settings:
Codec: h.264 Key Frames: every 25
Frame rate: 25fps Frame Reordering: on
    Data Rate Restricted to: 10mbps
    Optimised for: Download
Quality: High Encoding: Best quality (multi-pass)
    Dimensions: 1920x1080
    Deinterlace Source Video: ticked
When the deinterlacing is ticked, the final exported video appears ghosted, with two of the same images projected side by side rather than one on top of the other, creating a very bad image. However when deinterlacing is not ticked the final exported video ends up with horizontal lines across the entire image. This is seen even more clearly when not in full screen.
When I export from iMovie 09, using Share>Export using QuickTime using the same settings as in FCE4 (deinterlacing ticked) the footage is very clear and there is no noticeable ghosting or horizontal lines.
When I export footage from FCE the video also end up desaturated and washed out, with low contrast. The same happens when I export from iMovie, but to an even greater extent!
My 'Easy Setup' for FCE4 is:
Format: Apple intermediate Codec Rate: 25fps
Use: AVCHD- Apple Intermediate Codec 1920x1080i50
These are the problems I experience; described above.
I do no know whether the problem is something to do with my export settings; settings in FCE; or whether FCE exaggerates the quality of my images (which i highly doubt); or if it is because FCE4 is now around 4 years old, and iMovie is from 2009, and therefore has more advanced settings for AVCHD?
I am by no means a professional when it comes to talking video jargon.
Any help is truly appreciated as i have completed over 150 test exports in FCE and the Final Cut experts at the Apple store spent almost 2 hours trying to work something about, but could not think of anything!
    Thanks in advance.

  • SAP - MS Word 2000 (missing form fields)

    Hi,
I designed a report to download quality notification data into MS Word.
I use MS Word 2003 on my laptop. The users have MS Word 2000.
    Steps that I followed :
    1. Create a template using program SAPRDEMO_FORM_INTERFACE
    2. Save the template on your desktop.
    3. Upload the Template into BOR using TCode OAER.
    4. Write a report to get the form open in Word & then populate the fields created with the data from the program.
The ZProgram has the following logic :
    1. Create instance for BDS
    2. Get Document info
    3. Get Document URL
    4. Set application type.
    5. Open Word Document
    6. Check Form interface
    7. Get the Form interface
    8. Get the Form variables
    9. Fetch data from R/3 & populate the structures
    10. Pass the variables to the Form Interface.
Steps 1-9 are done. The problem occurs in step 10. Using MS Word 2003, I am able to pass all data from R/3 to the respective fields in the form. But using MS Word 2000, users are getting few fields and some are missed. I got MS Office 2000 installed on one of our machines. The problem I face is none of the fields are getting populated in step 10.
Please suggest if MS Word 2000 form interface is compatible with SAP 4.6C.
    Thanks,
    Mahi

    Hi Anil,
There is no specific Error Message.
The Fields in the Word document 2000 are not getting populated appropriately from the program.
The Method as shown below is getting executed successfully but values are not getting properly passed to the fields in the Word Document 2000.
This is not the case with MS Word 2003. All fields' data is getting accurately populated.

  • Optimal import settings for iTunes

    Hi guys.
I would like to ask a few questions about optimising the import settings in iTunes.
I am happy with the iTunes download quality but I see for importing CD's I can choose 320kbps rather than the 256kbps.
If I choose 320kbps, is every CD able to give me that quality? What are CD's made in?
Also I can choose a sample rate of 44.100kHz and 48.000kHz with Mono and Stereo. Which should I choose for best quality. I will use my iPhone, speaker doc and for music and movie creation.
    Thanks in advance guys.
    Andrew

Thank you so much for that link. Answered my questions and got me thinking.
With a little more research I found a guy who tested 12 CD's from his collection and found the bit rate for the CD's ranged between 798 to 1411kbps. Interesting.
    Thanks again.
    Andrew

  • How do i transfer movies from ATV 3rd gen to iMac?

how do i transfer movies from ATV 3rd gen to iMac? help!

    You don't - AppleTV 3 store nothing.
Instead (assuming th efeature is available in your country), you download from the internet in iTunes.
Either on the iTunes store home page or in the Movies category you should find Purchased Quicklinks on the right side of the screen - redownload movies there.  Set download quality in iTunes Preferences.

  • Selecting sd card as storage

Why dont we have this? They have been working on this for two years.

Can confirm that after clearing  cache, uninstalling, I also had to do this for the app to use my SD-Card for storage, it only  put some cache files there before. From: [COMPLETE GUIDE] How to fix most Android issues
    - If using an external SD card to store your cache (Offline Playlists) on Android 4.4.2+ then make sure when installing the app you have more free space on the SD card than in your phone memory. Another tip is to set the download quality to 'Extreme' as this sometimes helps ensure the right location is being targeted for the cache

  • File formats for ITMS australia

I live in Australia and I'm new to using the music store that just opened I wanted to buy some albums from the store I was about start to buy an album from the ITMS but was suprised not to see an option to choose what file format or bit rate I wanted to download the music at. I did some searching at the apple web site and came across the following comment.
"Purchased songs are encoded using MPEG-4 Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) format, a high-quality format that rivals CD quality. Songs purchased and downloaded from the Music Store are AAC Protected files and have a bitrate of 128 kilobits per second (kbit/s). The file extension is .m4p. "
I don't belive that statement to be true since I did a comparison from the original CD I bought and then ripped that CD and burnt it at AAC 128kbps and played it back on my car stereo and home stereo at the volume level i usually play my music at and the AAC 128kbps does not even come close to the quality or sound level that the original CD plays at, at the same volume level which is encoded at AIFF.
So I was very dissapointed to find out I have no choice on what file format or bit rate I want to download my music at. When I buy a CD and RIP it all the files are in AIFF format which I asume is the best quality so if I'm going to spend $16.99 on a new album on the ITMS and it's going to be downloaded in AAC at 128Kbps I dont feel that im getting value for money when I can wait for that same CD to come out and be sold a few months later for $10 or $12 at a music store and I can rip that cd at what ever bit rate or file format I want and if I change my mind in the future I can re-rip that cd at what ever quality I choose to.
Can anyone shed some light on this matter since I'm new to using the ITMS store and am I right or am I wrong in my assumption that AIFF fiels sound better than AAC files encoded at 128Kbps and can I download AIFF files from the australian ITMS or not?

Carlitos, I'm in Sydney and also very disapointed to see the 128Kb bitrate from the iTunes store. You're right, it just doesn't cut it compared to CD sound. However, I've done quite a lot of testing on my high end home Hi-Fi and cannot tell the difference between the original CD and the same CD ripped at 320Kb/sec with AAC. They sound identical to my ears at least. It seems the Hi-Fi magazine, Audiophile, agrees with me also after they tested all the different recording options for iPod/iTunes. AAC at 320Kb/sec also gives a hugely reduced file size over AIFF.
Meanwhile, iTunes music store is a huge disappointment for anyone preferring music quality over short term convenience. Until the download quality is improved I've satisfied my curiosity and downloaded my first and last song from that source. What a waste!

  • FAQ: Questions and Answers about Spotify

Hey and welcome to my FAQ. Here answers for most questions.
What connection do I need to use Spotify?
Spotify can use any connection! Mobile broadband, ADSL, cable modem... I recommend 1M connection or faster, however you can use Spotify also in 384 kbps speed or even lower (when on slow mobile networks, just enable lower stream quality).
Does Spotify stream on EDGE (2G, mobile network)?
If you use 160 kbps or lower setting, yes. But keep in mind, network should be near 200 kbps all the time before it's possible without buffering. Recommended 3G and at least 384 kbps mobile speed for 320 kbps.
I have limited internet. How much bandwidth Spotify need?
Spotify use P2P, so no one can answer it right. To eliminate data usage, download tracks to Offline (Premium) and from File or Mobile app settings enable Offline mode. Also you can stream in Mobile with lower sound quality. There is also available Spotify Connect sound machines like Pioneer SMA1 and with these you can play Spotify from your mobile using Connect and that does not use P2P.
Quality 96 kbps => 0.72 MB per minute. (Only in Mobile these days)
Quality 160 kbps => 1.2 MB per minute. (Free, Unlimited, Premium)
Quality 320 kbps => 2.4 MB per minute. (Premium. Desktop, some mobile platforms and some other Spotify devices)
With online streaming you may need a lot bandwidth. But you can also change cache size to 100 GB. This helps keep the network requirements down as it enables more caching. Also this depends on how much you listen music. Try Web Spotify or Mobile Spotify, these don't need P2P for work. Actually these apps doesn't use P2P at all. I hope you enjoy Spotify over your Internet.
How much Mobile data I need to get to stream Spotify full month?
If you have Premium, you can download your music to offline mode, no data used after first download. Offline on home wifi or at library etc. public wifi. If you have Premium and don't want to use Offline or don't have one Premium at all, data usage depends on your Internet connection and Spotify plan/settings. For example if you use Automatical sound quality option in Android app. It selects best quality for music on-the-go depending on network type/speed. Basically your music keeps going even on EDGE network at 96 kbps. If you don't want full sound on the go, keep quality in manual eg. 160 kbps only.
Data usage depends also how much you listen music, basically it is 144 MB in hour at 320 kbps.
Please keep in mind, if you stream online music one hour in day and in month 31 days it will be:
96 kbps: 43 MB in hour, 1339 MB (1.3 GB) in month. Only mobile.
160 kbps: 72 MB in hour, 2232 MB (2.2 GB) in month.
320 kbps: 144 MB in hour, 4464 MB (4.4 GB) in month. Only Premium.
If you listen more than hour, it will be more data usage, or if you listen little - less usage. Please keep in mind also that you just don't use Spotify - you may use YouTube, web surfing etc. too. Actual data usage needs is much higher. If Unlimited data is not possible, I suggest 5-10 GB of data, and if you allowed only 1GB - download music to Offline mode to reduce your data needs to minimum.
How much space I need to Micro-SD for my Offline list?
If you prefer radio edits, it is almost 8.5GB for 1,000 songs. Basically 32 GB is needed if you believe you will be one day near 3,333 tracks limit of Offline mode / device. Big card is also cheaper than little if you look  at price/size value. Please look at your phone specs, what is maximum card size supported by your phone. In most phones it is 32 GB.
How to improve playback on Android when outside using mobile network as Internet?
That's great question. Go to Android, open Spotify, hit Settings and select for Online play quality Automatical. This option chooses best possible sound quality for the time and area you are in. If a bit slower 3G, or even parts in EDGE, playback will be less interrupted. Spotify uses for a while 160 kbps or even 96 kbps, when for 320 kbps no speed available at this time on mobile network. Sadly on GPRS this won't work as it is only 56 kbps network.
How I can listen music? I created account and there is no search box in site to search music?
You need to download desktop app before you can listen music from www.spotify.com/download or just use web player https://play.spotify.com/. If you are Premium customer, you can use it also for example in Mobile, in some Spotify Connect speakers, in some smart-tv's etc. Please look into your device advertisements or Spotify site/forum to know which devices support Premium.
How in the earth I can use Spotify outside my country?
You need paid subscription to do this, then you can use Spotify without trouble just as long as you pay for it. However keep in mind that you may not be able to renew subscription in new country, so ensure you have enough months. In Free travelling time is limited to 2 weeks.
How I can delete duplicates from my playlists?
The official tool is under consideration. Before this just use my guide.
How I can check a bitrate of Spotify songs?
There is no official tool or guide from Spotify for this, however I created one guide for you. Come this way.
Where I can reset my password?
    Go to Password reset page.
How I connect or disconnect to/from Facebook?
Go to Edit - Preferences in Spotify.
    How I clean Spotify cache?
Go to Edit - Preferences and check folder location, then copy and paste it in My Computer.
How Spotify use my internet connection?
Spotify is a P2P software. You download those tracks from P2P network, your cache or Spotify servers. Spotify also can share your cache with Spotify users using your interet connection.
    Picture:
Spotify uses my Unlimited 3G max. 21M mobile connection. I listen music with empty cache.
What customer service? They just answered to me and asked to go to Community to search answer. Really?
Hey there, sorry about this, this is automatical response. Response is good for some simple questions answered already in Community, however sometimes system will not recognise your question. Just click in your mail "Reply" and ask question another time, then real people contact you.
How I disable P2P from Spotify?
You can't do this. Spotify is cheap to you, so you help Spotify with server costs. Only Spotify Mobile, Spotify for Smart-TV, Spotify Web, Spotify for some speakers can download tracks from Spotify servers without P2P.
Where is artist or band I like?
Good question! Spotify always want to have all music in it's catalogue. But some artists, bands or record labels want to be out of Spotify. I hope that they change their mind! Also you can add missed puzzles as Local files to Spotify.
My music flapping or skips on my laptop!
Don't worry. Just go to Edit - Preferences and disable the hardware acceleration. Also you can try completely re-install of Spotify. Hope this helps!
My music is often stopping or buffering all the time on my mobile phone. Help me!
Don't worry. If you use mobile network, ensure with your teleoperator that speed is at least 384 kbps. Unlimited is better. If you are using slow mobile internet, changing play quality in settings to low might help you. If you are at home, try Wifi, as usually Wifi is much faster than these mobile networks. If you are in poor mobile coverage area, try to find better coverage area. Hope this helps! If this problem is all the time, maybe you want to download playlist for Offline use? Then no need for Internet at all!
The song or artist is misspelled! And I found poor quality tracks on Spotify! What do I do?
Contact to Spotify and report all those errors via Contact form. Hopefully in future Spotify can improve reporting system.
Why Spotify send/not send my listened tracks to Facebook?
Check your sharing settings in Spotify's Preferences.
Why Spotify is not working after delete or de-activate of Facebook account?
If your account is created with Facebook details, you need Facebook to be able to login into Spotify. If you are deleted Facebook or don't want Facebook anymore, just create another account using email adress and ask Spotify to transfer playlist over using Contact form!
How I delete my account completely?
Contact to Spotify Support. Come this way.
I have idea, how I share it?
Just add topic to Idea community. Come this way.
My playlists or starred tracks are gone! What do I do?
Just let Spotify know. Spotify can put them back to your account in no time, just contact to Support and add information like your problem with Spotify and your username. Come this way. Before that, try to recover playlists itself here.
How I delete tracks from Library? Delete button is greyed out!
Awesome question. Just locate track from playlists, locals or starred tracks and delete it.
Why I should subscribe to playlists?
Spotify is social! Just subscribe to playlists you like and sit down - music entertain you. Millions of playlists waiting you. Just Google, browse playlist sites or search those with Spotify in search bar. If you do not like playlist anymore, you can unsubscribe. Your choice.
Who the heck delete songs from my playlist? Where deleted songs are sitting?
Do not worry! Sometimes Spotify just hide songs that are unavailable these days. Those songs can be released again in your country for example in future. You can see all hided tracks - just go to Edit - Settings and untick Hide unplayable tracks.
Purchased Unlimited or Premium today. Still I can hear ads and Free service. Joke? Scam? Cheat?
Not. Absolutely not. You can fix this in no time. Just go to File then click Log out and then Log in again. And yay, your paid service is waiting you. Also check that you are log in with right account. You can also contact Customer Service via Contact form. Come this way.
Purchased Premium, still the same sound. You advertised 320 kbps!
Do not worry. Just go to Edit - Preferences end enable High quality sound. After this clean the Spotify cache.
What format Spotify use and how music is converted?
Spotify use a OGG format. OGG is very great format with rich sound. In Premium sound quality is 320 kbps (excluding currently Spotify Mobile, where quality is 160 kbps or 96 kbps) and in Free/Unlimited quality is160 kbps. All tracks are converted from lossless format. And 99,9% of Premium catalogue is in 320 kbps quality.
I want to talk with real person, support number?
Spotify do not use support number. Here is two awesome way for Support - Support Community here and Contact form here. If you want to use Contact form, come this way. Spotify does not use bots, real people is answering to you.
I need more privacy. I still listen Britney Spears etc. How I can hide top tracks and top artists in my Spotify profile?
Yes, you can hide those. You can also hide Starred tracks and Playlists too! If you need privacy, Spotify provide tools for it. Just go to Edit - Preferences and untick all options: Automatically publish new playlists, Top tracks and Top artists. Privacy is here. And if you want to hide Starred or any Playlist you have - just right-click a Starred or any Playlist in Sidebar of Spotify and click Publish. Then you can go to your nice profile and them all are gone!
    Is Spotify legal?
Absolutely. Spotify has agreements with record labels. Anyone listening in Spotify give money for artists, record labels and composers. So if you use Spotify, you can continue to use it. Legal and awesome service. Every track you listen is legal and Spotify keep statistics for payment to right holders - even when you are Offline with Spotify!
Spotify client is downloading my Local files to it's servers?
No, not ever. Local files are just for you, Spofy does not collect or download those tracks.
Can I listen my Local files and artist get paid by Spotify?
No. Spotify does not pay to right holders when you listen Local files which are not in Spotify.
I am Spotify Free user, why ads or skip limits on mobile?
It's simple. You hear ads and have skip limits and Spotify is free for you this way. Also Spotify pay for right holders using ads revenue when you are Free user. If you do not like ads or want nonstop music, why not to subscribe for Unlimited or Premium service?
How Spotify will know I use tablet and let me then listen without skip limits and shuffle (Free)?
Your tablet is tablet for Spotify if screen size is more than 7".
Why Spotify is playing tracks that are not in my playlist when I use mobile phone and Free service?
This is how Spotify is designed to play for free users. You can listen your playlist on Shuffle and in time you will get some track suggestions, these can't be removed from Play Queue, but you may be able to skip these if you have enough skips to do it in hour. Also in mobile you may see ads and hear these also.
I have Spotify Connect enabled on my device and Pioneer SMA1 or other sound machine with Connect. What is quality used?
This depends on settings of your device. If in Spotify settings 320 kbps Extreme is enabled, your lovely sound machine will stream at 320 kbps using Connect. It depends on Stream quality, not Download quality. If you want to reduce data usage also in your speaker, just change it (sound quality) :)
I'm unsure will Spotify Connect drain my battery and does Pioneer SMA1 or other sound machine with Connect stream using my phone mobile data plan?
Absolutely not. The Spotify Connect is huge thing. You can listen music using Spotify Connect speakers like Pioneer SMA1 and totally without need to stream using your phone mobile network. The sound speaker can be connected to your wired Internet (in my home with RJ45 to cable modem 100M/5M). You can also use Wifi in some speakers, but RJ45 is preferred as it's more stable :) Actually after you connect your Spotify in phone to speaker, you can start playlist and then forget about it. Or even shut down your phone, your speaker continues to play! Also in future you can add tracks to play queue if you want and these will keep playing for you. Connect also will be available as remote to your PC, you can then remote your Desktop Spotify using your phone :)
Can I listen Spotify music with my own music player?
No. Why? This is simple. Spotify use a protected files, so music player like iTunes or WMP can not read those as music files. Only Spotify can understand those files. Also you need to use Spotify, because only this way Spotify can pay for right holders.
Can I make a CD from Spotify music?
No. Why? Spotify does not allow you to burn CD when you streaming music. If you want a CD, just purchase it form Spotify and burn a CD with iTunes etc. music player. Of course you can download with Premium your music to Mobile and connect your phone to your sound system and you can start your party then!
Can I download tracks from Spotify with my monthly fee?
No. Spotify works in this way: you purchase a way to rent music. In Free you can rent music as long as you are Free user. In Unlimited or Premium you can use all it's features as long as you pay. When you stop paying for service, your account will be Free again. For example you start hearing ads and your Premium Offline playlists will be removed. In Fact in Spotify you can stream with your month fee as much as you want. In Free service listen time may be limited.
I'm unable to cancel my subscription. Spotify decline my password. Help me!
Do not panic! All you need is to try another Internet browser like Firefox, IE or Chrome. Also you can try log out first from Facebook and try then again. Spotify will miss you if you go. You are welcome back at any time.
Purchased Premium, not hearing advertised better sound quality.
Make sure you are using a high quality in Spotify's desktop app Settings. Also in some mobiles you can use this 320kbps mode advertised Extreme, so make sure you're enabled it. If after that quality is still bad, clear cache and try again! Also it may worth to try setup with another stereo system etc. I hope you enjoy Premium sound quality!
    My question not here.
Not a problem. Ask and Spotify community can help you ASAP.

Someone asked me will Spotify work on EDGE mobile network in 160 kbps mode.
I will explain some things out.
EDGE network is very slow and actually EDGE is for light internet usage. However some operators, like Elisa Oyj in Finland, can handle 200 kbps in EDGE. If so, you can use 160 kbps Spotify without any problems. But keep in mind, some networks may be slow in EDGE and speed may be lower - in this case just use 96 kbps sound quality.
Personally I would suggest 384 kbps or faster Mobile Internet. Because when you use 320 kbps in mobile, EDGE network isn't enough to handle Extreme quality. The Unlimited is good, but you should be fine with 1GB, just stream then 96 kbps or 160 kbps. I use 0.5M Unlimited 3G Internet and I can say it works like a charm with Extreme sound quality.
If in your country no way for Unlimited,  you always can download Spotify playlists to Offline mode with your wifi. But I would say there is no need to fast 3G internet like max. 21M packages - Spotify will work fine with 384 kbps in any sound quality and in slow network too. However in this case you might want to use lower sound quality.
Also remember if you use Unlimited or Free and there no plans to Premium, just ignore those. Free and Unlimited use only 160 kbps and no Mobile or 320 kbps support, so you will be fine with 256 kbps Internet. Personally I suggest to everyone 8M/1M Internet for Home use and to Mobile use something like 0.5M or 1M.

  • Qoodaa MNP2P Creates a New Epoch of Internet Transfer

Qoodaa Communications ( [http://www.qoodaa.com] ), which has been devoted to developing internet transfers service, innovates and develops a new P2P technology, called MNP2P for short. It creates a new epoch of internet transfers acceleration for large files.
It is well known that the main downloading accelerative ways are P2P and CDN. However, the traditional P2P needs multi-users download at the same time to guarantee its downloading speed.
BT is the most classic example of P2P. But CDN can ensure downloading quality under the circumstance that there are a few downloading users and there is enough bandwidth, but it cant guarantee the effective service at peak hours because of the limits of the bandwidth. Qoodaas downloading resource of technology MNP2P doesnt have the idea of sleeper and topical like web or BT. Even if there is one user downloading, it can also enjoy the same speed as multi-person use under the condition of P2P downloading.
The main feature of Qoodaa MNP2P isnt this; the greatest advantages of Qoodaa are in the following two aspects: one is transnational transfers, because of adopting the unique MNP2P technology; Qoodaas transnational transfer speed is faster several times than the other software. The other greatest feature is in uploading speed, MNP2P unique technology ensures the users upload the utmost speed that is close to the speed of uploading internet, which P2P software doesnt have.

Well... I think it isn't off topic, specially if some guys are engaged in a 5 pages flame war and 'racist-you psycho-me' sterile discussion, and the thread is there alive... why don't share our toughts about this highly positive topic?
Imagine the future implications of this achievement if it become available to everybody (and sure it will be!)... things like replication all over the world won't be a nightmare, some present limits for grid computing will no longer exist, will open the door to overseas logical standby databases... I don't know...
