Download recovery Disc Thinkpad Yoga

Hi,
I had a problem with my thinkpad yoga, I accidentally used a recovery image from an ideapad yoga 2 pro. It's now wiped all the partitions and replaced the recovery with a yoga 2 pro recovery, is it possible to download a recovery image?
I previously couldn't even boot into the thinkpad recovery which is why I tried the alternative recovery image, assuming it was just a pure win8 install, but now many modules don't work (onelink ethernet, touchpad etc)
Thanks.

Yes, I'm sure, I used the same Recovery DVD created on first day I bought the laptop.
the OS is Vista Home Premium 32 bit
the reason I reinstalled the windows was because the HDD got some hardware problems and I changed its HDD and used the recovery dvd to install windows...
I just checked right now and realized the TOSHIBA RECOVERY CREATOR HELP .PDF is already installed but no sign of the RECOVER CREATOR itself !

  • Can't find the onekey recovery in my thinkpad yoga?

I need to backup my system after all the new installation but somehow can't find the onekey recovery in the new thinkpad yoga. Why the thinkpad yoga doesn't come with onekey recovery?
Also I downloaded and installed onekey recovery version 8.0.0.1219 but when I tried the system backup it said "Current system can not support back up". Am I missing something here? Has anyone able to back up their thinkpad yoga?
    Any information will be appreciated.

  • Thinkpad Yoga - Clean install with Win 8.1 disc and embedded product key

    Hello everyone,
I purchased a Thinkpad Yoga that comes along with Win 8.1 and embedded product key.
Will it be possible to plug-in an external drive and install Win 8.1 from a Win 8.1-disc? BUT I don’t want to use the key that comes with the disc, but the key embedded in the bios.
This is my girlfriends Windows 8.1 disc and license. Nevertheless I could use it for the clean install.
But I'm not sure, if the original key from my Yoga will work then.
    Thanks
    Hutson

I guy on Youtube made a rough tutorial.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI8AnNBIlLQ
    Englisch subtitles available
In the comments he suggests, to download the Iso with anouther win-8.1-key - no matter which one - and to install the system clean. In his opinion the system will get the key from the hardware. He is writing, that there is just a universal iso. So it's no problem to download an iso with another key, even if your system is a Home-Edition and you download it with a Pro-Key.
    I will try this.

  • Can't download Lion from Recovery Disc

So this all started when i wanted to upgrade to Mountain Lion. I went to the app store and purchased the app and the download started. It took about 45 minutes and when it finished and I tried to install it failed because it said the download was corrupt. I tried three times and had the same result each time. I started troubleshoot and found somewhere where it said to try fixing disc permissions. I went into disc utils and tried to run the verify disc and it failed. I then tried running verify disc and that failed. So then I logged into Recovery Disc and ran Verify disc and it failed again. So I tried running Fix Disc and that failed. At that point I was not able to boot up to anything other than Recovery Disc. If it tried booting up it would start and run for about 20 seconds and then shutdown. At this point I decided to reformat my disc and re-install Lion. I wiped my disc and then used the re-install lion link to start that process. It would tell me it was downloading nessecary components and would start counting down from 1:45 hr it would hit 0 and the counter would start over. It does this about 3 time and then fails saying in could not download the components. I have tried it twice and had the same result. I am now on a differnt computer hoping to get some advice around what to do now. Anyone have any ideas around what I should try next. I am kind of stuck and getting really frustrated. This is the second time I have had major disc related issues. I never had these issues on my windows laptops.

Well in all fairness thinks like this happen to both Windows and Mac OS X.
I suspect your drive is failing. That is why the verify and repair fails and that the original download got corrupted and why now it restarts because it really can't save anything to that drive.
You could Restart from recovery and restart the download point it to an external drive and see if it completes and installs Lion on the external. If it does then good bet the internal drive is TOAST and needs to be replaced.

  • No download for ThinkPad Yoga 12 dependency package 1.6.32.00?

Our ThinkPad Yoga 12 OEM boxes (also X1 Carbon Gen 3) have dependency package 1.6.32.00 pre-installed (i assume it is for Lenovo Support & Lenovo Companion Metro apps).
we are trying to rebuild enterprise loads, but in the support website, the only one that can be downloaded is a old version 1.6.28.0 (2014/08/14) for older models ThinkPad Yoga , Yoga 11e, X1C, X1C Gen 2 from http://support.lenovo.com/en/downloads/ds034404
It is not listed in model 20DK device matrix download page either (only settings dependency package for Lenovo Settings Metro app) http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-yoga-series-laptops/thinkpad-...
is it located in another place? or we have to call enterprise support to get it?

  • Yoga 2 Pro - How to get Windows 8.1 recovery discs

Hi all. I just purchased a Yoga 2 Pro and immediately wiped the disc and installed Debian on it (which is working fine.) While I can't imagine myself going back to Windows, it would probably be useful to have the Windows 8.1 recovery discs (or USB drive) available, just in case. (Warranty return, selling it to someone, etc.) Unfortunately, during the Debian install, the recovery partition was deleted, so I can't create the recovery discs/USB myself. How can I get a copy of the recovery discs?

Good day and welcome to the community.
For factory image recovery media, you'll need to contact Service (info below). There may be a charge for the media.

  • Hp recovery discs of hp 15-n012tx download

All partitions on hdd are deleted. & the recovery discs are also damaged. Then how to get os on this laptop

The recovery media is not a downloadable product. You can order usb recovery media for your notebook from HP.Ordering a recovery disk set from HP On the web document, click on the country in which you reside for ordering information. The cost is usually around $40.00 USD or less. Be sure to order the usb recovery medi, not the recovery disk set.

When you do get it downloaded, before you do anything else, save the Lion installer - make a copy and put it somewhere safe. you can then reuse, make a clean install and other things.

  • Recovery disc download?

Either myself or one of my young sons seems to have displaced my recovery disc. The computer is having a lot of software issues, the largest of them being some antivirus soft program that seems to have worked it's way into the system files and I can't seem to get rid of it. I have been unable to find a downloadable version of the recovery disc. I can burn a disc as long as I can get the software. Any suggestions?

there is no downloadable recovery media for the main reason that it is about 20gb of info and would take hours to download. you can order a set from toshiba for $25. the number is 1(800)457-7777.

  • Use Product Recovery Disc on different Thinkpad for virus recovery?

    Hi,
Three days of struggling to clean an infected Thinkpad so I am ready for drastic action.
Wife's  T60 2007-43U rendered useless by ramnit virus. Long story, but reformat seems like only solution.
Have T60 2008-SAA with as-built installation, and expect I can make  Product Recovery discs for that machine.
Also have T60P 2007-8JU working fine, but with no recovery partition or great Thinkpad utilities,Sonic or WinDVD as reformat by previous owner deleted them. All three computers have XP Pro with SP-3.
    Questions:
    1. Can self-made Product Recovery Disc from one Thinkpad be used to reinstall factory load on these others?
    2. If so, should doing that completely clean the disk of existing virus and leave it in "new" condition?
    3. Understand 6 CD's make up the factory set of Recovery Discs. The  as built load is about 10GB! Is there a list somewhere of what all is included in the Recovery?  Before I start making these discs, should I expect a total of 6, more, or fewer?
    Thanks!

Returning to give you feedback on the success of this recovery. The T60 went from being a doorstop to fully functional!
Thanks again to ajkula and TuuS for their suggestions. Helped me through a harrowing experience.
I made a full set of Product Recovery Discs, 6 cd's, but did not use them as it would have restored I assume to Windows XP or XP SP2 as originally shipped. The source computer had been upgraded to XP SP3 and was up to date on all Windows Patches. I decided to give it a try with Rescue and Recovery to take advantage of those upgrades. I made a full set of R & R discs and with nothing on the computer other than the original load and Firefox, it took 10 cd's.
On the target computer, the one with the virus damage, I set the bios to start from the CD drive, then, as ajkula suggested, and many other anti-virus sources endorsed, I wiped the disk, and I used dBan for that. Worked well in "short DoD mode" and took about 3 hours on a 60 gb drive. I had never tried that before.
I loaded the R & R start-up disc and from there on all I had to do was insert the next disc when instructed. This took several hours because I was not always paying attention when it called for the next disc. The only  confusion was after the start-up disc ran and formated the drive, on the next disc, it warned that it was going to format the drive. I don't know if it did it twice or if the message is just poor communication. It went through to the end, and the result is the previously virus ridden computer is now 'identical" to the source. The hardware is similar but not totally identical . As TuuS suggested, the drivers must have been there as I did not have to add any drivers during this operation or since.
    Regards to all,

  • I cant find my recovery disc, is there any way of downloading the information, I cant find my recovery disc, is there any way of downloading the information

Please help. I used Speed4mac to clean up my macbook pro. I dont know what i have done but my Mac is now running slow.
I have used Disk Utility first aid and it says i need my recovery disc. However, I can not find this!!
Is there any way round this?? ie a download??
    Look forward to some advice!!

Which operating system version were you running?  Lion (10.7) had no discs.
OSX: About Lion Recovery - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718 > Lion Internet Recovery - using the Internet to start when recovery disk partition not available.
Snow Leopard an earlier came with discs. Call Apple Customer Support 1-800-767-2775 (telephone numbers for other countries - http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57). Provide the serial number and specifications of the Mac.  They may be able to provide a replacement set of discs for a fee.  These discs will be for whatever OS was installed on the computer originally, so if you have an upgraded version you will need to obtain the discs some other way.
It's kind of late to say so now but never use a "cleaning" or maintenance utility.

  • Product Recovery Supplemental Disc Thinkpad T60

I just had to reset my harddrive to factory settings. After I restarted my laptop it went into the Rescue and Recovery Mode. Now it wants Product Recovery Disks which I do not have. If I press cancel, the laptop restarts, goes back in the Rescue and Recovery Mode and wants these disks. What can I do to get it started in Windows?
Rescue and Recovery did not mention that I need these Product Recovery Discs when resetting to factory settings.

There is probably something corrupt area on the recovery partition, which required the product recovery discs.
Did you burn these discs yourself or did they came with the laptop?

Try to find the the program RRmedia.exe with windows search.
Click it to start and create your media. You´ll need more than 6 CD´s or 2 or 3 DVD´s.
In my system (XP) you´ll find  RRmedia.exe in: "C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Lenovo\spi\RRMedia.exe"
