Download safari onto a pc?
I need to open a webarchive file on a pc. How do I download safari so I can do this?
Apple dropped support for Safari for Windows years ago, so it is no longer available as far as I know.

My Mac assures me that I am connected to the internet, using Airport and also ethernet, but Safari never gives me a home page. Can I download Firefox onto a disk using my Windows PC and then take the disk to the Mac and upload Firefox to use on the Mac ?

I downloaded Safari 5.1 onto Mac OS 10.6.8 some time ago. Yesterday the back/forward arrows next to the url window changed to a +, which adds the current url as a bookmark. I want the arrows back. What happened, and how can I fix this? Thanks. kammro

Downloading Safari 3.1 onto a MacBook OS X 10.5.3
Every time I try to download the new Safari onto my computer, it says my Macintosh HD isn't compatible because it must be Mac OS X 10.5.2 or higher. Mine is 10.5.3.
Why no download??!Mac OS X 10.5.3 includes Safari 3.11; version 3.1 of Safari isn't designed for it. If you've deleted it, reinstall Safari from the Mac OS X 10.5 disk, and then run the 10.5.3 combo updater.

Attachments dont download from Gmail in Safari, They disappear,I even tried re-downloading Safari and that download disappeared, it is not in my downloads folder, I actually searched in finder for the file and it is nowhere on my computer. Please help!
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Problem downloading videos onto PC from 4s
Hi,
I filmed two long videos (one more than a half hour, one almost an hour and a half) on my 4S and now I can't seem to download them onto my PC. When I try to use the camera wizard the videos don't even show up now, but they're still in my photo album.
Is there another piece of software that would help with this problem? I really need to get the videos and free the space on the phone up.
Thanks.You can look for a different downloader, I know they exist but I've never bothered to use them. One thing you can do instead is use Safari, go to the Window menu item when something starts to play, and select Activity. You'll see a line where the size keeps increasing as the video loads (it will also have a size in MBs rather than KBs, as the other items listed do). You used to have to hold the option key and double click that line, but you might get it to download with a simple double click these days. It will go to wherever you have Safari set to download things, and will be named "videoplayback.flv"--you'll want to rename it.
Personally, I just take the cached download that YouTube sends automatically and drag it to the desktop and rename it and give it the flv extension, but it's a wee bit difficult to explain how to do that, since the item will have an address sort of like this:
/private/var/folders/Rv/RvRzJO5dHda62tPNz4CIxk+++TI/-Tmp-/TemporaryItems/FlashTm p0
Since the /private folder is invisible, and most of the rest of the path's named items will vary from computer to computer, even user to user, it makes it a bit complex to explain. Try the Activity window method, that should work just fine.

Why am I unable to download Safari web browser to mountain lion?
I have mountain lion on my mac. I deleted Safari from it. Now I cannot download Safari from the internet to Safari. Is there a way I can get Safari back onto mountain lion?
Safari isn't available as a download from the Apple website anymore, so you have to reinstall OS X in order to get Safari back. Hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery, and reinstall OS X

Downloading Safari .. "remotely"
My daughter has a Mac Mini (that I, typically, bought just hours before the Intel change was announced) and wants to download the latest Safari version. On her dial-up line, it would take an amount of time I can't even comprehend.
Would it be possible to DSL it through my Windows machine onto a thumb-drive and install it from that?

Yes, you can download Safari, then place it on a thumb drive.
Go here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/ on your Windows computer and search for "Safari".
Before you do, find out which version of Mac OS X she has, so you can download the correct version.

As noted a month ago I called apple to fix my iTunes account. Now when I buy songs or music I cant watch, listen, or even download them onto my computer. It keeps giving me this pop-up when I try.
"This computer is already associated with an Apple ID."
"You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 52 days."
I know this computer is associated with an Apple ID, because it's mine, so why can't I watch, listen or download them onto my computer?
They had me reset alot of crap when I called them, so if anyone knows how to possibly fix this before I call Apple and freak out, please tell me!

I downloaded safair 6.0.4 to a macbook running 10.6.8 but Safari will not run the new verstion, only the 5.9.1??
For 10.6.8 you need Safari 5.1.10.
Ideally, you'd now install a system backup made before you got 6.0.4 on there... if that's not possible, download Safari 5.1.10 for Snow Leopard & use Pacifist to 'force' the install, then restart. Backup first, if you haven't already. -
I downloaded pictures onto my iPhone from computer twice by mistake now when i uncheck/sync then check and sync again i keep getting two lots of pics..how can i get just the one set again? thnx

All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library regardless if you select a single album or folder of photos to be transferred or multiple albums or folders. The photos on the albums or folders of photos include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. The photos are not duplicated taking up double the storage space. This way you can view the photos in an album or folder of photos only by selecting the album or folder, or all photos in all albums or folders by selecting Photo Library.
Makes more sense when transferring multiple albums or folders of photos which cannot be changed when transferring only a single album or folder of photos.
The same applies with iTunes and music playlists. A song can't be in a playlist unless it is in the main iTunes library. Placing a song in a playlist does not duplicate the song. -

(Note, mine says 28 days because I have been waiting for a fair bit for this to go away.)You can't keep changing the ID you use with iTunes, you are limited to once every 90 days.
