Download safari windows

Why isn't there a link to actually download Safari on page http://www.apple.com/safari/?  It is not obvious where to get Safari for Windows.

Apple may not be supporting Safari for Windows anymore.
Best.

    There's another way.
Right or control click the + then click Remove Item.
    Just remembered that keyboard shortcut!
    You're welcome

Thanks for the tip, but I had already tried this and it did not help. The File still downloads and , at the same time, a new Safari window opens - but the Safari window is blank.
Another discussion thread related to this problem is:
How do I prevent automatic downloading of .pdf files?
but this deals  with Safari 5.1 which evidently has a problem with Adobe Reader.
I am using Safari 5.0, so the suggested solutions do not apply. ( I tried them anyway, but they did not work.)

  • Downloading Safari For Windows On A Mac?

Is there a way that you can download the Windows version of the Safari installer while using a Mac?
Every time I try, it takes me to the Mac page with only options to download for Tiger or Leopard.

If you are running Safari 3.1 and enable the Develop menu from the Advanced Preferences, you can temporarily tell web servers that you are actually using a Windows version of Firefox. Doing so will let sites that customize page delivery like Apple's present the Windows-specific pages.

  • Downloaded safari 5.0.3 to my Windows 7 64 bit operating system. Now screen shows all money amounts in Euros instead of US dollars. How to correct?

I downloaded Safari browser 5.0.3 to my Windows 7 operating system (64 bit) on a desktop computer and now when I look at webpages that show money amounts (dollars and cents) they are all written in Euros instead of american currency. How to correct?

So you are suggesting that Safari does an on-the-go conversion of currency? I don't think so. Safari just displays whatever is coded on the web site.
Localization (Windows settings) might be the culprit, as the user is re-directed to a web-site created for that region. It's also possible, that a foreign web site was chosen or suggested by Google.
Well he states that is all webpages that show any kind of currency. He can go to Control Panel> Region Options> Region & Language Configuration (something like that).
The onthe thing that makes me think that this could be a Safari issue more than a regional issue is that the OP stated that it downloaded Safari 5.0.3, which is not the latest version. This implies to some extent that the installer that was downloaded from a source other than Apple as it is no longer available in Apple's Website (the latest Safari is 5.1.4 which was released today), and there's no certainty on the region from where that Safari 5.0.3 installer was uploaded from which could have very well be a user in Europe; but that's speculation at this point.
Let's see how the issue works out for the OP and then move forward with other possible suggestions

  • Downloaded Safari 5.0.2 for Windows 7 - No Top Sites

My laptop used to have Windows Vista and I used Safari in this environment and had the top sites in Safari - I loved it.
Recently upgraded to Windows 7 (which is much better so far), downloaded Safari 5.0.2 and do not have Top Sites.
Does anyone know how I get the top sites on this new version of Safari?

Most likely, your computer needs a graphics card upgrade. I think that if your computer doesn't meet a specific graphics requirement (or it simply doesn't have the power), then Safari disables this option. Unfortunately, the only way to get top sites, from what I know from experience, you need to upgrade your video card.

  • Downloading Safari via Windows computer

    Hi all
I want to download the standalone installer of Safari 3.1 for Mac via a Windows computer, but all the links take me to the Windows download page.
    Does anyone have another link?
    Thanks
    Stefan

I have the opposite problem I am trying to download Safari for windows from a Mac but apple has introduced this block now so you can only download files relating to the operating system you are using!
direct links for Windows simply load the mac version on a mac and direct links for the mac version download a windows version on a mac.
This restriction is frustrating at least, some of us like to have flash memory with BOTH verions on so we can use it on whatever version of machine we have and diret downloads is not often possible due to firewalls. Please Apple remove this OS specific restriction give us back our links to the other operating system

  • Download Safari 6 for Windows

    Hello
Can you Download Safari 6 for Windows
    Thank you

Hello, I tried to leave feedback for enhancements to Safari on the link MACOSX24 posted above but I got a Http://500 error.
Oh well, here was what I was going to post, I asked  them to continue the development of  Safari for Windows/Linux/ZX81/Oric-1:
"Please develop your browser further.  If you rule the roost on any platform with your browser/GUI, then you win the Internet Game.
I have a MacBook Pro and almost exclusively use Safari.
Safari on Google Glass.  Now there is a thought.
I was joking about the ZX81.  I actually meant the ZX80, my first Home Computer.
Also, please update your drop down which you are asking me to fill in on the next form below (on the OS version) as I am running Windows 8.1, amongst other things, yours only goes up to Windows 7.
    Thank You!
    Adrian."

  • Can't Download Safari for Windows from a Mac

    Hello All,
iTunes is no problem, but Safari and QuickTime won't let a Mac download the Windows versions. With iTunes, one can click a link to go to the Windows version, but there is no link for Safari or QuickTime. I have a stand-alone Windows XP SP3 computer. Although I don't use it on the Internet, I test web sites locally on it, so I need Safari to ensure compatibility. Does anyone know how to get to the Windows version from a Mac?
    Jim

    Sanjac--
I'm not sure you can; it's determined by your op system. Even if you could load Safari for Windows on a Mac, you'd actually have to be running Windows--and if that were the case, I suspect you wouldn't have had to post the question.
    Best of luck-
    Doc

I have windows and I have synced my ipad for the first time.  I'm at step 6 of 6 Downloading Safari safe browsing data. I have been here at this step going on 2 hours.  Is this normal or is something wrong.

Lyrics aren't supported in the Music app on iOS 5 on the iPad. These are user-to-user forums, they are not monitored by Apple (there are too many forums/threads/messages for that to happen). If you want to leave feedback for Apple then you can do so here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • I recently downloaded safari for windows on my computer.

    Hello my name is Alexandra,
I  downloaded safari for windows on my computer about a month ago. It worked fine until a couple of days ago. I can't view any of the images, even the images on the apple home page. How can I fix this?

    Welcome!
First, see that images are enabled. Do Edit menu > Preferences and click the "Appearance" tab. There is a box labeled "Display images when the page opens" that needs to be checked:
