Download said it no longer supports my system???
tried to download phohtshop cc and it said it no longer supports my system? I can't get a new computer and I have vista.
Hi vtreiner,
Which Photoshop version are you trying to download and on what OS?
You can check the tech specs at : http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html
For Photoshop CC, 64 bit support is required.
If the apps in the AAM show as up to date, then you can follow the steps 2 and 3 mentioned in the KB : http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html

I've attempted to download Illustrator, but the message is that Adobe no longer supports the system on my computer. What do I do? Is there a way to receive an older version that does download on my system?
Without knowing anything about your computer we can't advise specifically. You can download CS6 versions in CC by checking the "older versions/ other versions" stuff in teh bottom section of the CC app's "Apps" tab, but that may not resolve your issues.

I bought a mac companion for my desktop mac running os x but received the following error message when I tried to install the quikprotect software download: "power pc no longer supported." I did not read that anywhere when investigating. What gives?
PPC, also known as PowerPC has not existed on Macs since the beginning of 2006. Apple made a bridge software and included it with Mac OSes until 10.6.8 known as Rosetta that would allow you to run software written for the PowerPC Macs. 10.7 and later can't run that bridge software. You have one of several options:
Install 10.6 retail on a USB Flash drive, and run that application while booted from there.
Find an update designed for 10.7 or later of the software.
Find a combination of Virtualbox or Paralllels that can legally run a version of 10.6 side by side with your 10.7 software.
Run Windows on your Mac with Virtualbox or use CrossOver that requires no Windows to run a Windows version of your application.
Your Mac is an iMac Intel. I will ask a moderator redirect your thread to the 10.7 forum, and no action is needed on your part. -
I have an iMac G5 (20 inch screen) i sight (no intel chip).Leopard OS 10.5.8. Recently I went on Facebook and tried to open a movie site someone had sent me on Facebook andwhen I tried to open the video on Facebook, I was told I had to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player. i tried to do this, but turns out that Facebook is requiring folks to have an intel chip in order to view movies...this is outrageous! Just think of all the folks in the world who have great running pre intel chip Apple computers. I called the Adobe Help line and was told that I really needed to buy a new computer....no thanks. How do I find a way to get a new version of Adobe for Facebook and youtube. I wish Apple could develop a way to have intel chips installed in the older computers. If you have any suggestions on this please let me know.
Thanks, SarahEither get a screen cleaning cloth, or carefully us a slightly damp lint-free cloth and dry off with a dry link-=free cloth.
As to Flash Videos: I am in a similar same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube and FaceBook for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.
You can download TenFourFoxG5 from here:
http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:
http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/wiki/PluginsNoLongerSupported
But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine. -
Many online sites for insurance, banking, etc. say they no longer support my system. I use Snow Leopard that came with my Mac Mini and it's update if I go to the "software update" which is 10.6.8. What do I do?
Your Mac Mini is capable of being upgraded to Yosemite (free in the Mac App Store). The specified minimum of RAM is 2GB but you are likely to find it runs very slowly on that, with a lot of beachballing. I don't know what the maximum RAM is but you should consider installing extra if you can. Even so you may well find it's rather slow - Yosemite is really optimized for modern Macs running SSDs.
Snow Leopard isn't getting any more security updates by the look of things, so there's a lot to be said for upgrading it. However if you install the latest FireFox (36.0.4) that will run on Snow Leopard and should at least solve the inaccessible sites problem.
If you do decide to go for Yosemite you should make comprehensive backups: I would advise if possible cloning the entire Mac to an external hard disk, so that if you find you don't like Yosemite you can clone back and be no worse off. Otherwise downgrading is frankly a pain to do. -
my operating system is mountain lion on a mac book pro mid 2010,Im after a codec/component for quick time player!ive tried the divx download & it is no longer supported for mac!can anyone pls direct me in the right direction?thank you.
Hmm, yes. Didn't notice that. Looks like it's still in development. I haven't time right now to check further, but will do later on and report back.
Camtasia 2 for Mac is the video editor I use, but it's payware I'm afraid. You can download a free, full 30-day trial to check it out though, from here, if you want:

This appears on my screen when I try to download InDesign CC. "You are running an operating system that InDesign no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements for a full list of supported platforms." I've tried with 2 different computers (Wind&Mac)
Bastaría con que indicases el sistema operativo en cda uno de esas computadoras para saber si son compatibles:
Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 (ID CC 2014 y ID CC)
Mac OS X v10.7, v10.8, or v10.9 (10.6.8 para la CC anterior)
Si utilizan un sistema operativo anterior, you are "out of luck".
