I was given Adobe Photoshop as a gift in CD form. I own a Microsoft surface. If I can install it on another computer, will I then be able to download it directly to my Surface via internet?

Just download onto your Surface (must be a Pro) from Download and Installation Help
Install then enter your serial number.

Installing Creative Design Suite Standard on Microsoft Surface Pro 3

I am trying to install the Creative Design Suite on a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 from a DVD (I recently changed computers and need to transfer my programs to the new machine. From my research assumed the Surface would work well for my needs and allow me to dabble in Illustrator and Photoshop as I learn the programs). I am using an external optical drive however the single USB port on the Surface does not seem to get enough power to run the full installation. I can get the installation started and go so far as to put my in my serial number and then it stops working. At one point I was even given the notice that it appears my software is counterfeit - which it is not. I legally purchased it and have used the same disk on another machine. Is there a way to install the software that would allow me to bypass the usb port/optical drive situation? One solution I read was to use the disk to transfer the program files to another machine, put them on a jump drive and then run installation on the surface through that - but I don't think I can do that with the serial number situation. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Ideas?
-I know the smart thing to do would be to upgrade to the cloud, however at this time I am not proficient enough in the programs that I want to pay $20-30 a month for the programs I am trying to learn. The disk software I currently own is for CS6 and was purchased just before Adobe started using the cloud feature for their programs.

What issue do you have with downloading the installation files?

Wht can't I down the bt netprotect plu onto my microsoft surface 2?

If it's the standard Surface, running Windows RT, then it won't let you download software from anything but the Windows app store.
Quite frankly, I wouldn't want to run anything as huge and bloated as NetProtect Plus (which is just a re-badged McAfee suite) on anything but a reasonably high-powered computer anyway. My desktop PC copes fine with it, but my old Asus netbook ground to a halt whenever McAfee started doing anything.

Hi qt12705, welcome to the HP Forums. Windows RT printing support is done with native drivers. There are no traditional downloads for this. I am not certain if this model is supported in RT. The easiest way to see if it will work is to plug it in with a USB cable, to see if it recognizes it and allows for USB printing. If it does, then you can add it as a network printer using the 'Add Printer' method via Printer And Hardware in the control panel.

Is there a way to use Digital Photo Pro on the Microsoft Surface Pro?
As I understand the problem DPP is unable detect the screen resolution of the tablet ( the defauilt res of the tablet
is 1920 x1080) with a minimum of 1024 x768.
It would be usful if one could type in your working screen res into at startup if that's the only problem
___I've looked at other screen drivers from Intell but I realize if I could install thrm I'de lose the touch functionallity

Canon DPP is Canon provided application for desktop/laptop computers and they don't have a version for any tablets as far as I'm aware (not even iOS or Android versions).
But there are other photo editing programs that would work. I have an iPad. While Apple has their own photo software (which isn't going to work on a Windows tablet) Adobe has an app called PS Touch.
PS Touch isn't nearly as full featured as Photoshop. It limits the image resolution (it resizes any images that you import to it so they don't exceed the max resolution) but it does have most of the commonly used adjustments. So if a person were just trying to get something out, it works in a pinch.
One other catch is that PS Touch can't deal with RAW images... so it's JPEG only. But I can import JPEGs off the card into the iPad and then edit them -- not as well as I can if they're on a regular computer, but this is what I'ved when I'm away for a weekend with my camera.

Currently, we are using a handheld unit to collect process data from our line which is then uploaded into our Quality Access database via ODBC link. we are upgrading computers and plan to change this handheld to a Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Question: What would be easiest method to link or upload process data on the Surface Pro to our existing Access quality database.
1. Put a local copy of our database on the tablet then export to the database or use an append query?

The drivers for Windows RT are already included within the OS, there is no need to install any software to use your printer.

Downloading a new version on Surface RT

Hi,
I just got a Microsoft Surface RT and am still getting used to both it and Windows 8, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. I'm trying to download the most recent version of Flash player (currently I have 11.3-something) but whenever I go to the download page, I get redirected to the "Compatibility issues | Windows 8" page before the download page finishes loading. I'm not sure if it's because there's another way I'm supposed to download Flash player for the tablet, or what. Any help is very much appreciated.

As of now I've only had a problem with one website, and it's all the videos on that site (that I've tried, anyway--just tried a few). The site I've been using is Chabad.org. There are a bunch of videos here: http://www.chabad.org/multimedia/default_cdo/aid/591213/jewish/Jewishtv.htm
I think I've done everything on that page. Double-checked ActiveX and it wasn't a problem. Tried using Desktop mode. Flash player looks like is activated and other sites like mlb.com and youtube apps have worked fine. I clearly don't have the most updated version of flash player installed though, according to the version that this website told me. Getting to that download screen is where I had problems. The ActiveX plugin in Windows 8 is now a proprietary Microsoft build and it can ONLY be updated through Windows Update, be it on a desktop or tablet. There are two different Flash Player plugins for Windows, but the ActiveX cannot be installed via download from here. The other can. It's here: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Hi I have flash player 11.3 on a Microsoft Surface. I can see the video it says it is suppose to work if flash player is active, but when I try to go on sites that require flash player, it says I need to download it. I'm confused.....

I also have Windows 8 if that makes any difference.

Maybe there are some settings in your Internet Explorer which prevents the pop up and therefore you cannot download any files
I recommend checking this in the Internet Explorer options
Did you try other internet browsers? For example firefox?
