Download through adobe reader

How do i download a magazine from a website through adobe reader onto a tablet? Better yet, how do i even open the Adobe reader program

You would need to download the magazine PDF from outside the adobe reader program probably through a browser. Trying to open the PDF from that application will show a list of applications which can open the file - Adobe Reader should be present in the list. Select Adobe Reader in the list to open the file.
If you wish to directly open the file, go to your Applications menu on the device and click on Adobe Reader icon.

Hi bengaunt ,
Thank you for posting on the Adobe forums, you can try printing as an image.

• I HATE my new MACBOOK PRO, it will not let me open any PDF files and I downloaded the ADOBE READER three freaking times and it keeps saying that all the files are corrupt. I would rather have my 2008 Dell at this point. what is wrong with this thing

I HATE my new MACBOOK PRO, it will not let me open any PDF files and I downloaded the ADOBE READER three freaking times and it keeps saying that all the files are corrupt or damaged. I would rather have my 2008 Dell at this point. what is wrong with this thing

Perhaps the PDF files are corrupted.
Hit the command key and spacebar, a blue Spotlight in the upper right hand corner appears, now type Preview and press return on the Preview program.
Now you can try opening the PDF's from the file menu and see what's going on.
If they are corrupted, perhaps they are trojans from your Windows PC or gotten from a bad location online.
Download the free ClamXav and run a scan on the possibly infected folder.

• Unable to view documents through Adobe Reader

Hi,
The following are the softwares which we have installed.
1. Adobe Reader - 7.07
2. Adobe Acrobat Professional - 7.0
3. Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1
4. Adobe LiveCycle Forms 7.2.2
5. Adobe LiveCycle Form Manager 7.2.2
6. Adobe LiveCycle Workflow - 7.2.2
7. Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions 7.2.2
8. Adobe LiveCycle Policy Server 7.2
We have performed Turnkey installation on all the above mentioned softwares.
We are facing some issues in viewing the policy documents through Adobe Reader.
We have created a Policy through the Policy Server. Then using Adobe Acrobat Professional we added this policy to a document.
But when we try to view the policy added document through Adobe Reader, it is throwing the following error.
"You are attempting to connect to a policy server using an insecure protocol. The connection attempt has been cancelled. Please contact an administrator for assistance".
In one of the installation documents of LiveCycle products, it is given that we need to enable the SSL while running the Configuration Manager. But since we have done Turnkey installation the SSL enabling option did not appear in the installation wizard.
Can someone please let me know how to enable the SSL using Turnkey installation.
Regards,
Suraj

The guide Chris mentioned talks about setting up SSL, but you need to import the certificate into the "trusted root CA" store in Internet Options on every machine which will open the document.

You probably have got the SSL set up correctly, but just to emphasise there should be absolutely no warnings what-so-ever in IE when you hit the https://hostname:8443 address -after- closing and reopening the browser, and it should show the Padlock symbol to indicate the SSL is on. In my experience this means that the first part of the CN must be the exact hostname which you will access the server to avoid the "cert doesn't belong to this host" error which will appear in addition to the "untrusted CA" error.

And if you are using the server in production where clients may not have permission to add trusted root CA's then you will need to use a proper SSL certificate. This guide worked for me:

http://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2006/10/configuring_jboss_325_with_a_r.html

(p.s. I'd recommend NOT using any symbols in the keystore password, or you may have to change it to get it running with JBoss)

______________________

Once you are absolutely sure the SSL is spot on, this is the step which you may have missed:

On the Policy Server administration panel, go to "Configuration" -> "Server Configuration", then update the base url. It should look like:

https://<cn_on_ssl_cert>:8443

Once you've updated that address, you will need to reapply any policies, since the server address is stored in the PDF document itself. Don't forget to update the policy server address in Acrobat too.

Hope that helps,

Robert

• Is there a download for Adobe Reader 11?

Is there a download for Adobe Reader 11?

Reader 11 isn't supported for Vista (although it has been succesfully installed).
To get it, you need to choose the option for a different language or OS and select an OS that is supported. Then it wil give you the option to download 11.
But again, not supported.

• I am trying to download an adobe reader with multiple language.

I am trying to download an adobe reader program with multiple language capabilities, but it says I am missing a patch that is needed to upgrade to the program. Does anyone know what this means and how to solve this problem?
Thank you
Star

I have a version of reader installed, and I installed another just in case that was the problem, but I got the same msg. It did come at the install, not the download. I tried to download in Firefox, and I tried to download internet explorer. I am really not sure what I should do. Do you have any more thoughts on this issue? Thank you for taking the time to help.

• I downloaded the Adobe Reader and now can't open PDF files

I downloaded the Adobe Reader after notification on my MacBook Pro and now can't read PDF files

Yes, I was able to open PDFs until I downloaded the new version as per the alert on my MacBook Pro. I was using Adobe Reader often.
I downloaded whatever they sent me my way (11?) and my operating system is Mac05 (10.5.8-10.9 English). The message says I’ve already downloaded it. It didn’t mention file.org. I looked in my preferences and didn’t see Adobe Reader, only Flash Player.
I’m not terribly computer savvy, so I’m trying to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.

• I have a mac/downloaded latest adobe reader & cannot find to accept end license agreement

I have a mac/downloaded latest adobe reader & cannot find to accept end license agreement. It says downloaded successful. I go to use it and it won't work. Said to close. I've opened adobe reader again and brings me back to install which I hit again and it says already installed.

I am having this same issue, which is frustrating. How does Adobe not have weekend tech support? I keep getting told to just "open the program" well, i have tried to open it, and it doesnt show as downloaded, so i will go to download it, and it says "you already have this installed"... well okay, then i go to find it, and it doesnt exist anywhere on my computer and tells me to download it again, and annoying triangle i keep going in.
