Download update problem
When I try to download an Adobe update, I get to click "run" and then nothing ever comes up. What do I need to do to get it it to install?

I have been trying to download updates for my iMac. The update I need is Mac OS X Update Combined (intel) Version 10.4.9 and it is 315 MB I have a very slow connection and every time I try to download it there is an error or a time out that occurs. Is there any way to get this update on a cd?

If you have a blank CD or, even,a 512MB pen drive, you could:
1 See if a friend with broadband will download it for you.
2 Visit local library & ask them.
3 Go to an Internet Cafe & ask them.
4 Go to Apple Service Provider & ask them.

Downloading updates problem 5800
On my phone there is available update Version No.60.0.003. When I start downloading the phone displays Processing for 3 secends and then stop and noting hapening. Please help

It may sound stupid but I had to re-install existing software with Nokia/Ovi Suite, before it allowed me to carry out v60.0.003 via FOTA!

Flash has been used for more than just displaying videos. The Vote choice your daughter found is one of those flash type sites that will not display on iOS devices. There are now over 100 million iPads, and who knows how many more iPhones out there. Developers who want their content to display on all these devices will have to move away from the old Flash technology.
There were some version of Flash that ran on other brands of tablets. But Adobe has stopped all development of Flash for all mobile devices. As time goes on and mobile operating systems evolve the no Apple devices will lose their ability to run Flash too. Web developers need to move on to cleaner, more efficient types of programming. -

When I synched my new iPhone with the newly downloaded iTunes, I registered my iphone and tried to "back it up" to iCloud and the message indicating that "the required file was not found or has a permissions error...." popped up.

im trying to restore my iphone and itunes doesnt allow it to restore without updating. problem is that i have the latest update on my iphone so why is it forcing me to wait for a 7hr update download when i already have the update and only need to restore?
Sadly, the iPhone 3G can not be upgraded beyond iOS 4.2.1.

If I understand correctly you are not able to extract a zipped file. If this is the case you need to do a Google search for a compression utility, download it and install it so you can unzip files. I have included an example of a Google search for free compression utilities for you to see.

Had to remove itunes from my computer to reset the computer. Now I'm having problems syncing my iphone with the computer. Computer is saying it wants to download updates to the phone but that will delete things I downloaded straight from the phone. Help!
iTunes thinks you have a new computer because you restored the OS. Open iTunes and authorize it to the same account you have on the iPhone. Did you restore your iTunes content from a backup after resetting your computer? Have you been syncing regularly with the computer, and does the iTunes library on the computer contain your apps, music and videos? If so just sync and your content will be removed then restored.
If you have not hopefully you have now learned something. You can recover apps and purchased songs by connecting the phone, without syncing, and choose "Transfer purchases..." from the File menu. -
I get Error 20 when I try to download updates for installed Apple apps on my IMac. I have two users on the IMac, and I resolve the problem by clearing all cookies on both users Safari, opening and closing the App Store for each user, shutting down and restarting the IMac for each user, until finally the download works. There must be an easier way. I also have an Air, where I have no problems whatsoever. Both machines have Doorstop and MacKeeper with the same settings, so I have ruled those programs out as the cause. I believe iot is because I have two users - any ideas?
Please read this whole message and be sure you understand all of it before doing anything. Back up all data before making changes to your settings.
Write down the server addresses.
Click Cancel to close the Advanced sheet. Unlock the preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Open the DNS tab again and change the server addresses to the following:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself.
2. I’m not advocating Google or anything else as a DNS provider; the server addresses are offerred merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist. -
