Download User's pdf Manual path?

Hi all, I have downloaded the Studio 2 Logic pro User's Manual pdf version and would like to place it in the right place so clicking on help in menu bar will open that instead of the HTML manual-does anyone know the right path to the right place?

CORRECTION: Download Dreamweaver CS5 Reference Manual

I really hate not having a printed reference manual for Adobe products.
Where can I download a reference manual for Dreamweaver? I recently downloaded an Adobe PDF manual for another application but didn't take down the URL as I should have.

You are one of a few who still like having a whole printed manual. Here's the link to the entire 700 page manual.

Go to a local Staples or copy center and ask about pricing. I think you will be surprised at how much it would cost and Adobe does it to help the environment and to keep costs down.

There is no PDF available. I sent a link to a page full of links and info not much different from the help files.
There are many Free books in the iBooks store which will take you through the basics of iBA.
I like "Create your first Interactive book using iBooks Author"   its created by iBook-Widgets.com - who also supply widgets at a price.. but the book is very free and very good.. search the iBooks store for their title.
You cannot use iBA on an iPad, however, I also use the iPad app -- "Book Creater"   ( redjumper.net ) its very low priced around $3 or so. The people who create it are helpful and friendly. You can distribut your books to friends and family using Dropbox or other cloud storage. If you want to creaet an ePub file and then upload to the iBooks store, its not difficult. You create the book on your iPad. It is no where near as good as iBA for functionality.. but it spossible to make really good eBooks.
I think Applecare shoud come into effect with the language problems if it can be found to be a glitch on the computer. Applecare is product based and does not apply to software.
Take it stage by stage,   visit your Apple store and   ask if they can solve the help files in langauges first, then react to the answer, it could be they can solve the issue which leave you a clear path with iBA.
Also you can gather more indormation about how to use it with the help files.
Try the info I have included and   see how it develpops... any problems get back here and we can look for alternatives.

wanted to download a pdf manual off whites metal detectors, would not open it or save it.

Sent from where? By whom? It may not be a PDF at all, just a virus in disguise. That aside, we need some system info at least...

How to avoid the user selecting a different path in my installer

Hello again all you helpful forum-goers!
I have an application and a corresponding installer, and then I have a separate installer putting some support files in the same directory. My problem is that if the user selects a different path to which to install my primary application, the secondary installer will not put the required support files in the same spot.
Now, I think I've figured out how to get the user-selected path from the "Run executable at the end of installation" option in the Advanced pane of the LabVIEW installer configuration, and I can pass that in to my secondary installer, and that should fix the problem. However, what I'd really like to do is just not give the user the option to install my primary application in a different directory to begin with. I've looked, but cannot find any way to do that.
Does anyone know of any way to not present the option to install an application in a different directory when using the LabVIEW installer?

That's great! Thank you so much for your quick reply. The only reason I haven't already accepted that as my solution is that it requires a manual post-compile change to a text file. Ideally I'd prefer not to have to remember to do that every time I rebuild my installer. Is there any way that you know of to automate the process?
If not, I'm happy to have a good solution even if it takes an extra step each time to implement.

Firefox will not download journal articles (PDFs) from PubMed. Why? Internet Explorer will download them.

I go to the USC e-journals, as I have done with Firefox for years. Now, when I find a journal article that I want and try to download it, nothing happens. I get a blank screen.
If I use Internet Explorer, I can download the article (PDF) and print and save it.
What do I need to do in Firefox to fix the problem. When I first uploaded the newest Firefox I did not have this problem.

Hi Joe, some other users have reported that the Real Downloader is not working in Firefox 22. If you have updated it and it still doesn't work, you might consider using a different downloader. I don't have any personal recommendations on that, but you can check out the reviews on the add-ons site:

Javascript to download a custom pdf

Hi all,
I am a pretty adept captivate user, but really have no javascript skill. I have a button in my project, that when pressed I want to download a custom pdf that pulls from a jpg image and two project variables. (Essentially I'm creating a certificate but I don't want to be limited to the certificate widget). Does anyone have same sample script for executing this that they could share?

Quick question re: PDF manuals

Just curious FCP users -- does the new version of FCP Studio contain PDF manuals as in previous versions?
For some reason they've stopped producing the User Manual and Plugin Manuals for Logic Pro, and I'm baffled. The help files are all html and available via Apple Help, but that's it -- not bookmark-able or friendly at all.

Nope, definitely no PDFs.
I used Pacifist to search the installer packages, and Spotlight on an installed copy, and the only PDFs included are multiple languages of the CD-booklet-sized "Exploring Final Cut Pro 7.pdf".
Hopefully Apple at least designed book-format manuals, and will release them as PDFs in due course. I find the in-app help system to be very difficult to use, and the online version (while handy, for sure) is an equally incomplete solution.
While I applaud Apple for not wasting the paper and packaging to include a full set of printed copies, I referred to the PDFs all the time. Being able to search effectively, add bookmarks and Command-Tab between your PDF reader and the app is simply a better way to work/learn.

Cannot download an Apple pdf document.

I have been trying to download an Apple pdf document (about HDV capture) but my screen goes dead when I try. I used another computer and tried there and got a page that my "server" does not have permission. What's going on? How do I get "permission." And I don't have a server, I have only stand-alone computers.

Trying to download an attached PDF form to my computer, but it crashes my browser

Trying to download an attached PDF, which was uploaded by a form user, causes my browser to crash EVERY SINGLE TIME. How do I fix this?

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing attachments. If possible, could you please provide the following information so that we can investigate the issue?
1. Operating system and version. For example, Mac OS X 10.6.8 or Windows 7 64-bit.
2. The version of the Flash Player that is being used in IE. You can get that information by following this link:

Can't open, download or view PDFs - Tried all fixes recommended on this site!

I updated Firefox yesterday and now I am suddenly unable to open, download or view PDF documents on my mac. I just get a blank page in Firefox when I click on a PDF link. 
I tried every fix I could find on this forum and others: 
Disabling both the Acrobat NPAPI Plugin and the Acrobat Reader Plugin 
delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions. 
installing another PDF reader plug-in 
Cleared download history 
Reset Firefox 
Checked status of Download Folder - no 'user set' values 
Reinstalled Firefox 
Fixed all Mac Permissions 
Still same thing PDF tries to open in a new tab - I just get a blank window… even when my PDF Preferences are set for the pop-up dialogue to show so I can choose whether to save, open or view. 
AND my Firefox preferences are set for viewing in Acrobat Pro X (this was how I had it set up before the update and had no problems - all PDFs opened in this application. (my preferred)
I am stumped. Anyone have any fresh ideas? HELP!! :) Thank you

The Adobe Reader plugin may not be working properly on Mac.

Disable the Adobe Reader plugin in Firefox (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) and use the external Adobe Reader application or Preview application instead.
PDF files may be found under entries like Portable document or Adobe PDF document.

Mountain Lion pdf manual

I'm in immediate need of a pdf manual for Mountain Lion. My mom just got a Macbook Air for Christmas. I'm a Windows person so I'm learning as well in order to teach her.
All I can find online is the Snow Leopard manual, but that is a few years old. I know that Mountain Lion is version 10.8.xx right now, so I want to get the most up to date information.
This will be the best way for her to learn the os. She connects to the internet through the cell phone hot spot, so she has to watch her data usage. All she does is get email, look at Facebook, and play games already on the computer.
She will not take advantage of all the videos etc on the internet due to a data allowance on her cell phone plan.
Is such a manual available? Thanks.

InDesign PDF Manual

I tried downloading the manual from the main InDesign Info page and the link seems to be malfunctioning. Can anyone point me to a good copy of the InDesign CC64 PDF Manual?

Don't know why the title in the head states 20 MB. The file size is about 9 MB. ;-)
I also had problems with that link and code in Firefox and Chrome on my MacBook.
Opened it in Safari. Safari stated that there are problems with my Acrobat Reader. Huh?
Then I looked at the source and took the link out of this iframe src tag.
No problem downloading that.

Some weeks ago I started using Photoshop Elements 8.0 in Dutch. But I cannot understand all technical terms in Dutch and therefore I need the PDF-manual in English. It is unpossible for me to download that from Adobe, because I bought the Dutch version.

the answer that it is not possible to download the English manual. They
offered me the possibility to convert my Dutch Photoshop into an English one
by means of a so-called Lettre Of Destruction (LOD). That is not what I
wanted, because I liked to keep my Dutch Photoshop.
Thanks for your help once again. Now I have I Dutch ánd an English manual!
And that's what I wanted.
