Download is blocked. Activation of Java-plugin not possible.
I do use latest Firefox, Java, etc.
IE works, but is unwanted.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

There are parts of the CMS that don't work with Firefox 6. They do in IE and Chrome but I much prefer Firefox. Until they get their CMS updated to work with version 6, I need to go back to 5. And I can't undo the upgrade because I have a new laptop and the only options to load were Firefox 6 or Firefox 3.6

Downloads from web sites fail with an unknown error

When I try to download pdf files from a web site I get an "Unexpected Error" message and the download fails.

PDF download in 3.1 fails with "could not open" error

Just created a couple interactive reports and was truly dazzled by the functionality. But when I try to download to PDF, Acrobat Reader 8.1.1 errors with msg "... could not open <file> because it's either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged...."
No problem with CSV download.
Is there some special Acrobat plugin that's needed?

Its true its not required, but the instructions for deploying the war file advise you to use enterprise manager console, which you won't have if you have just got XE or if you have installed a database without Enterprise manager.
Ideally we need a method of deploying the war file directly

Visa security verification fails with Firefox, but ok with Internet Explorer.

When I use either Visa or Mastercard for online shopping on Firefox, when I submit the security verification (Verified by Visa) the screen freezes. I tested it by using the wrong security info and I got a response to say that it was wrong, but when I entered the correct info, it froze. I have tried different cards, as has my wife, and the same happens. Fortunately the payment doesn't go through.
There is no problem when we use Internet Explorer or on sites where verification is not requested.

I get that warning on both Fx26 and IE8, searching on google.com and google.com.au. My query was:

Can't download JDeveloper 10.1.3 with Firefox

When I tried to download the latest version of JDeveloper I ran into a loop between the survey page and a page asking me to accept the Early Access License.
Strange, since I can seem to easily access the files for 10.1.2 with the same browser...

I just tried now and it worked for me. Try cleaning up your cookies (or sign-out/sign-in into OTN) and see if it helps.

Recently, any attempt to log on to any site with my valid userid and password fails with FireFox but passes with Internet Explorer. What could possibly cause this?

I used FireFox a long time for email and other scure sites. Out of the blue my logins started rejecting. In frustration, I went back to Internet Explorer and found I could log in using the same UID and PWD.
I cain't imagine what setting could be causing this to happen. Have you ever heard of such a thing? And is there a solution?

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".

You can find the connection setting here: Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy
Another possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that,.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Cant download a movie from netfix with firefox but can with internet explorer

When I go to Netflix to watch a movie , after selecting a movie to play , Netflix checks the quality of the connection then starts to buffer at which time the program and computer hangs up. to clear I have to restart the computer.
Thought my problem was the Netflix connection but then used the Internet Explorer and had no proplem
This is a recent problem since I was able to watch movies on my computer before

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Why a toolbar called iMesh associated with firefox ? its affecting my laptop

by mistake i downloaded iMesh and its stuck with firefox browser as a toolbar. i have uninstalled firefox and dowloaded it many times and still this iMesh getting installed with firefox, infact even when firefox was uninstalled still iMesh poping up dialog box, after hard work i managed to get a rid of iMesh but i dont have firefox anymore, if i download firefox again this iMesh comes with it.
so how can redownload firefox without this toolbar ?

You can set the pref browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab to false on the about:config page to get a close X if only one tab is open.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

As stated above, please provide more information if you need any inputs from our end. As it is Vivado Simulator, you can also refer to the Messages tab and see what is the error. Most of the time if elaboration fails then it is possible that some modules were missing or the component/entity binding has failed or the compilation order is not proper. You can also refer to the compile.log to see if there are any warnings. All the logs can be found in the sim_1/behav folder.

ISE 14.4 BitGen Failing After Vivado 2015.1 Installation

My node-locked version of Embedded Edition ISE 14.4 has started failing Bitgen with the following warning:
WARNING:Bitgen:26 - Bitgen only supports DRC but not bitstream generation on
   this device. This condition can occur if there are problems obtaining a
   license to run bitgen or if the design targets a device which is Early
   Access.
I have not changed my ISE license file recently, but I have installed Vivado 2015.1 in the last couple of days. Sythesis and Implementation still work. The License Configuration Manager that I can open from the Help menu still indicates that I have permanent licenses for all the features (i.e., nothing has changed to the best of my knowledge).
Could the Vivado install have messed up my ISE licensing? If so, how do I fix this problem?

Are there more than one ISE licenses in the installation directory?
Please attach the Xinfo file so that we can check if the correct license is being accessed by ISE.
(also post the name of those .lic files)
To generate the xinfo file:
Start --> All Programs --> Xilinx Design Tools --> ISE Design Suite 14.x --> Accessories --> Xinfo System Checker.

Opening xapp1082 with Vivado 2015.2 gives errors (pl_eth)

After sourcing pl_eth.tcl I get the first problem, I had to update manually (in pl_eth_bd.tcl) the AXI ethernet version from 6.2 to 7.0.
Fixed this problem I get the following:

I went through the annoying process of opening the xapp1082 design using Vivado 2014.4 (I sourced pl_eth.tcl), then I opened the resulting project using Vivado 2015.2 with no luck. The "upgrade" process got stuck while upgrading one of the IP.
Result is that the bitstream cannot be generated.
Anyone can point in the right direction?
Furthermore, why Vivado is not provided as a web application? Like Google Docs, I mean. This would avoid pushing gigabytes of software to customers. I would pay for such a service.
